I started coming to Haarmony by Doreen in February 2024 (I wish I had a before picture.) My hair was all jacked up from a previous hair dresser. That hairdresser didn't listen to my requests and didn't put much effort in doing my hair. I needed color correction and my hair was dried out and wasn't growing. Since I've been coming to Doreen, she has helped me fix my hair and finally got me to "the look" I've been trying to achieve. Doreen worked out the previous harsh highlight lines and got my hair healthy and growing! I love how Doreen blends my highlights, listens to your concerns and she'll make suggestions. Doreen always checks in making sure you're comfortable. I'm so happy I found Doreen! I get so many compliments on my hair. I would recommend her 100%!!!

5 Stars, Changed My Life! As a blonde, I've had my fair share of bad hair days. Brassy tones, breakage, the works. But all of that changed when I found Doreen! I used to travel from Maryland to California for hair appointments, but not anymore. Doreen is the real deal. European trained and it shows. My hair has never looked or felt better! I found her in November last year and I'm never letting her go. She listens, offers expert advice, and works magic. No more scary chair moments! And the money I've saved on cross-country trips? Doreen has a way with short hair! Every cut I get I give her a couple of parameters then I let her do her thing, and every time I walk out of her salon feeling like a Queen! She takes her time and is truly in love with her craft.

I absolutely LOVE Doreen! I moved up here from Florida and the same person has been doing my hair for over 10 years so finding someone new that knows how to actually cut short hair can be a challenge. I'm soooo happy I found Doreen! Not only are her skills amazing but she's the sweetest soul! I highly recommend her. You will be happy you did!!

Doreen is very professional and takes her time to understand what her client wants. I love my hair and I receive many compliments. My mom also goes to Doreen and her short pixies are amazing.

She is absolutely The Best!!!!! It was 3 days before Christmas and I have 7 kids and had booked an appointment elsewhere and they weren’t very nice… so I was in search of a hairdresser… came across her… called her and she went out of her way for me and did my hair and it was perfect!!!!! She knows a lot about hair… If you are looking for someone, I’d try her first or Tony who is in the same building.

With respect the keratin treatment didn’t even stay for one wash the material she used had hazardous chemicals and I sent pictures of those to her which never got attention. Also my hair started to fall a lot after that. I asked for refund and she ignored. That’s not ethical and I’m very disappointed. I don’t have money to waste on dangerous chemicals on my hair that can couse cancer.

Doreen is the best! Doreen sat and talked to me first, before she did my hair. Turned my dark roots into a beautiful blonde! The cut she did, was just how I wanted it! Doreen did an excellent job! Everyone loves it!

Doreen is wonderful! I’ve had her cut my hair multiple times and it always turns out perfect! She’s also cut my 2.5 year olds hair multiple times and he is a handful and she is so patient and kind and did an amazing job. Would 100% recommend!

Doreen went above and beyond! She really listened and then encouraged me to continue to let my hair grow. You know, it was at that awful in between stage where I just wanted to chop it all off. She trimmed the dead ends, popped in some highlights to give my hair some body. Doreen reminded me that I can always cut it off, but today she heard me waffling between struggling through the necessary steps or giving up. We did the right thing because I’m not ready to give up. Patience is a virtue.

We moved to Frederick in the middle of a pandemic. I searched on google for a hairdresser that was great with short hair. I was referred to Doreen. Firstly, anyone with cool short hair like she has would definitely know what I needed for my own short hair! I was right! Doreen always listens to what I want, tells me what I need and shares with me her ideas. Apart from being a great hairdresser, excellent with colour she is also a super friendly and lovely person! Her salon is delightful and feels very personal compared to large salons. It has been a year and a half now and I can truly say my daughter and I are very happy with Doreen as our stylist, we always leave happy and have no intention of going elsewhere!

When moving to Frederick, I had a challenge finding a stylist who could handle short,straight, thick, coarse hair. I was fortunate to find Doreen. I've been going to Doreen for 3 years. Doreen is professional, talented, creative and an all around wonderful person. I won't go to anyone else.

I have been going to see Doreen for over 15 years and I do not trust anybody else with my hair. I have followed her wherever she has gone through those years and am happy she is finally out on her own. In the 20 years I've been on this planet, this is the only person who has cut my hair (with the exception of some minor hair emergencies), and I wouldn't have it any other way. I always feel confident after I leave my appointments, even if I was uncertain of what I wanted to do going in. She has styled my hair when it was long, in a bob, and in a pixie. I love what she did with all three styles. If you want to do something fun, like dye your hair blue, she'll make that happen too! I always leave her salon smiling, both from the joy of interacting with such a lovely person and the confidence boost of a new look. Make sure you tip her well!

My daughter had dark red in her dark brown hair and she wanted to lighten the red and put blonde up front. Doreen was so patient with the process, and my daughter look FABULOUS. This was not our first experience with Doreen—she did a great job coloring a couple years ago, so my daughter requested we go back. The half-hour drive is so worth it!
