Rama did a great job braiding my hair exactly as I wanted. The service was fast, consistent, and the environment was professional and welcoming. Hady was very nice. This was my best braiding experience in a very long time and I plan to return in the future. :)

Today I had the best hair braiding experience at Hady's Hair Salon. The salon was super clean which is a major plus for me! The staff were all so pleasant. Ive been getting my hair braided since I was a teenager but NEVER have I had an experience like I did at Hady's...I am definitely returning ☺

hady over blowed my hair, a quick touch up with the blow dryer is one thing but i wasn’t looking to get a silk press so there wasn’t need for all that heat. the woman who did my hair was sweet & did a good job but didn’t communicate when she went for lunch. knotless braids takes hours so if the stylist needs time to eat i completely understand but it needs to be communicated. after 10 minutes, i asked hady can she call the braider back and she RUDELY replied “ok well she’s eating her lunch…” (i wasn’t aware) hady then walks away saying “let her finish…” i’m not sure what brand of hair they use but it’s CHEAP! i appreciate them supplying it but it keeps getting tangled (i added oil, didn’t help) and had i know this is the quality i would’ve happily purchased my own hair. I also see white gunk from the products at the beginning of my braids the next day, i usually start to see that weeks after the service lastly, WHERE’S THE BARBACIDE????? how are they sanitizing the brushes & combs in between clients??? it’s so affordable and something you can easily purchase at the local beauty supply store….

I’ve been coming to this salon for a few years now. It’s a clean and friendly environment. My hair always look so good. Hady the owner, is a true professional and manages the salon well. They have snacks and water too if you get hungry while sitting in the chair. There’s no walk-ins so call to make an appointment. Love this place!

This is the BEST braiding salon in all of NYC. Hady is the absolute best and honestly every person in the salon is a GEM. They are kind, friendly, fast, and extremely NEAT! My braids look gorgeous every single time and I always leave so happy and satisfied.

Hady has been my hair dresser for 6+ years. I've been with her through 3 hair salons and she always makes my hair look the best. She is friendly and professional. BOTH me and my cousin get our hair done by her. And I recommend her to all of the people I talk to that need their hair done. Her new shop is so pretty and clean. I will not go anywhere else

Best African Hair Braiding salon! Hady’s Hair Salon is hands down the best African hair braiding salon in NYC. It is like no other hair braiding salon in NYC. The salon is clean and beautifully decorated. All the braiders at Hady’s Hair Salon are skilled, friendly and professional. There are snacks available for customers including chips, coffee, water… This salon is in high demands so I would strongly suggest calling 1-2 weeks in advance for an appointment. There is the option to be placed on the waitlist in case someone cancels. If you need your hair washed and blow-dried, or just blow-dried, they will accommodate you before braiding your hair. They use heat protectant before blow drying. I am very happy with my braids and will definitely be returning! I got Knotless braids medium size waist length. It took about 4.5-5hrs with 1 braider. I’m so happy I found this salon. When you call to inquire about prices, you will be informed of it based on the style you want, the length and size.

Beware, they price gauge. They priced me at $300 for knotless bohemian braids, waist length. I told them that I’ll provide the hair, and I will be washing and blowing my hair myself… they still said the price was $300. On social media, they are advertising $220. So just beware. The lady, Hady, also hung up on me rudely when I told her I’d call her back to see if I’d like to proceed.

Hady is AWESOME! I literally travel from Charlotte to Harlem, NY to get my hair done every few months. It’s worth the travel. The shop is extremely clean, professional, cozy and the vibes are great. If you want braids, cornrows, sew-ins - you name it, she and her stylists do it all. And, they do it right!

Hady’s Hair Salon is the best! It is clean,welcoming, friendly, full of professionalism and love. Hady and the other stylists care about the customer’s hair. If you choose a style that is not good for your hair, you will be advised to wait until your hair grows and/or gets stronger. She plays good music as well. Your hair will be braided with tender loving care. I can trust that my edges won’t be messed up and the braids last for a long time. Not only that, you leave Hady’s Hair Salon feeling like a beautiful Queen. I also love the prices. Hady is awesome in everything she does and deserves so much more. Horrible service the way they did my mother yesterday was so dirty literally big parts no type of care in the world the hair has my mother hair itching it’s literally 20 braids the sad thing is you got all these ppl promoting this salon all on tik Tok like it the best in the world literally a rat ran inside the shop they didn’t even try to do her hair nice it’s was a horrible experience for my mother I’m really disappointed the false advertisement is crazy

I scheduled an appointment 2 months prior and told them I wanted the bohemian braids. The braids are okay but everything else is a hot mess. The photo you see of me is only after two weeks. They literally only used hot water after I was done no moose and that’s it. I brought my own bundle (1b color) from the Janet collection that comes in the yellow/green box (per picture) and they decided to use a different kind of hair that was old and jet black without me noticing (which gave me the rest in a plastic pack per photo). I got my hair done by them on May 19th by the lady in the back next to the snack area. There was a short dark skin woman almost look like a child that helped with separating the hair behind me that knew about my braider stealing my hair. I would not recommend this salon simply because there are very untrustworthy braiders there. Also I came there under $220 promotion and when I asked the owner about he price she told me the price is no longer that price. I literally had to advocate for myself. Again, I do not recommend this place!

I was stopped this morning by two people asking where I got my hair done so I figured I write a review. I called and selected a date, time, style & length. Hady was very polite on the phone while scheduling me and made sure to say hello when she came into the shop after my stylist had already started my hair. I arrived to my appointment 15 minutes early and was immediately seated to begin. They keep the shop very neat and clean, including the restroom. I am very happy with my braids they are neat and the blonde was blended very well. This will now be my go to salon.

Made an appt for 9:30am. They changed it to 1pm without telling me, I had to call them to find out. They then called me trying to force me back to the 9:30 slot because someone canceled. Because I couldn't make it for anything earlier than 1pm They canceled my appt. I don't understand how waiting 1-2 hrs is worth losing $300. Never got to try the place out and because of their rudeness will never be going there.

Okay this place is AMAZING !!!! The best braiding experience I’ve had in such a long time. I got knotless braids zero pain ! Such a clean salon!! And the owner and stylist are so nice and accommodating. This will be my go to braiding shop for now on.

Sad to leave anything 5 stars because during my appointment Hady was nothing but the ultimate professional my hair was prewashed and ready go the moment I came in and a shampoo and blow out is included in the service. The only reason I'm unable to give full marks is that I've been trying to make another appointment for a week and reached out several times via IG and the phone number and have not heard back yet
