So I’ve been in Tampa for about 2 and 1/2 years (stationed here), and finding a stylist who was honest, respectful, and friendly has been a struggle. But all that came to an end when I came to the Hair Bar Experts. I’m African American and have 4a/4b hair, and let me tell you, they always get me right. My hair has been through so much, from braiding damage caused by a local braider, color damage caused by my poor upkeep, and just simply neglect from not being able to find a stylist to treat me and my hair with care. I’ve been EVERYWHERE, but here I feel so comfortable and safe with my hair in their hands. Yissell personally has my heart with how honest she is about the state of my hair, whether it be healthy or temporarily damaged. And everyone else that is a part of the staff. They all treated me with so much love! 🥹

Yissel is an AMAZING stylist, she was able to match the exact photo I showed her. I don’t know how she did it but not only did she do my hair she was extremely kind and funny.

I found my place!! My blow out last over a month, and Yissel is gentle with my natural hair which is a must. If you are looking for a place that is friendly and does a good job on natural hair try the hair bar.

This is a long overdue review for Yissel. My friend and I needed our hair done for a wedding. We are just visiting from out of state and we didn’t know where to go for a reputable hair salon. We found The Hair Bar by Yissel and she did a great job in cutting my hair! I have to say, her technic is precise! I had my haircut from her last November 2024 and until this day, it still looks great - looking healthy and retained its shine (since she did a treatment on it). Thank you Yissel! You’re fantastic!

I want to start this off by saying I NEVER leave reviews because it’s hard to find people in the service industry that leave a mark. Yissel is honestly so worth. Not only did she schedule me in after the hair salon closed but it was so last minute. I was a brand new customer but she treated me as if I had been sitting in her chairs for years. Gave me pointers about how to start my healthy hair journey and we were there 2 hours past closing time and she didn’t complain once. I’ve been going to multiple salons in Tampa since I moved out here several years ago and as long as she stays there I will only be doing business there from now on. THANK YOU YISSEL!!

omg im in love with my hair i really messed my hair up so bad and i called the day of and she got me right in margarita really listen to me and she did an amazing job on cut and color thank you so much i will definitely be back ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰

I needed my hair done really fast and I went to google and typed silk press and alot of places popped up but I decided to choose this location because she has alot of before and after so I called and made an appointment for 2:30 but I decided I wanted to show up early and let’s just say I was in and out .. loved the deep conditioner wash .. but it was worth it and I’ll be back

i love this place i been coming here since i was a a kid in high school, the stylist and the owner always get my hair right nice and Slicky with a lot of body movement yissel is the best i will always recommend her to do silk presses

I called last minute and Yissel was able to fit me in quickly. I had a shampoo and deep conditioning and a Dominican blow out. She also styled my hair just how I wanted it. My hair looked amazing and I will definitely be back. I have really long thick hair and she knew exactly what to do. She also did temporary lashes.

Absolutely loved my hair. I have very long hair and she was very gentle with my scalp that I almost fell asleep lol. She also gave me great tips on how to maintain my hair and keep it shiny. Thank you so much Yissel!!!♥️

My first time here and I would definitely return. I needed a last minute trim and the salon was able to get me in very quick! No long wait times and my stylist did an amazing job.

These ladies went above and beyond. I took my 5th grade daughter here for a cut and style and to get her nails done for the first time. They were extremely, clean friendly and had such amazing customer service. They even fixed my self done hair cut after I joked about it being pretty decent (in reality, it was not). My daughter was nervous to cut her hair but she soon felt very comfortable as the stylest walked her through the cut and kept her legth. This was by far the best experience Ive ever had in the Tampa Bay area. From the nails that were better than the pictures we showed, to the fabulous cuts, and they top it off with thier budget friendly prices. We will not go anywhere else but here from now on. 100/10 stars and more!

This place was amazing!! Owner was VERY welcoming, punctual, and respectful with excellent customer service. She was very attentive, offering drinks and making conversation. I was very upset with my last hairstylist because of a very bad haircut but she was able to fix it and turn my mood upside down and make me more confident. I highly and strongly recommended this salon!!!! Owner’s name is Yisel.
