Great service and results every time. I always get single color process, and my hairstylist Senait provides a great experience that goes above and beyond. She is super friendly, shares lots of hair advice, and even makes me a tea while I wait. The blowout looks really nice and lasts a few days. Glad to be a regular.

This is my second time getting a keratin from Senai and I love every time I go to her!!! She is so sweet and thorough with my hair. I have tried so many salons for keratin and have decided I will never go anywhere else because of her!!

I had the best experience getting my hair colored and cut with Lorida! She completely transformed my look with a fresh, vibrant color and a perfectly styled cut. Her attention to detail and skill really stood out, and I felt so confident in her hands. The end result was even better than I imagined. I’ve been coming to Lynda for a while now. I’ve done a plethora of services with her such as blowouts, Botox, keratin, color, haircuts and many more. To say that she is a phenomenal stylist would be an understatement. There is no one I trust more than her. Because of her, I will be a repeated customer for a very long time. Unfortunately I did not have a great experience here. I booked a blowout with Lori, she was super unfriendly, rough and kept stopping mid-blowout to text on her iPhone. I wouldn't have cared if it was a once or twice kinda thing but this woman just kept going on her phone and it was very unprofessional and rude. Not to mention the blowout was not good, she kept burning my scalp with the blow dryer, then was rushing through it so she could be on her phone. It just was not a good experience. I asked for a voluminous blowout, she basically straightened my hair w a round brush. Next time I'll just go to the 3rd Ave location, at least they are nice and do a better job. Will not be coming back.

Excellent keratin treatment ! I would have given it a 5 but they weren't clear enough about the final price I had to pay! But I definitely recommend it!

A few days ago I came into this salon for a keratin treatment and the stylist I was given made several rude comments about how my hair looked. It was clear he was not familiar with my hair type and was trying to make it seem like my hair was the problem. He also implied multiple times that I would not be able to pay for the cost of the treatment even though they charge significantly less here than salons in California do. I've gotten keratin for a few years now and have never had to deal with comments like this about my hair. This isn't across all of these salons so I recommend the other hair bars in the city with more experienced and professional stylists.

I’ve been going to Hair Bar for a while now, specifically to get a haircut from Jenny. She is expert with her scissors and with Asian hair. I have thick, bob, asymmetrical cut hair, and I’m very particular with how I liked it cut. After trying a dozen hairstylists all over North Jersey and NYC, I’m happy to have finally found Jenny. No one is allowed to cut my hair but her. Highly recommended!

My review is solely based on the outcome of my Keratin treatment. I had my Keratin done 5 weeks ago. I have been doing Keratin treatments with Hair Bar since 2020. My keratin would always come out great and last at least 4 months. I have been to all the NYC locations. Soho, 3rd Ave, Midtown and Cedarhurst. The last couple of treatments I had only lasted a solid a month. I'm fully convinced something has changed in the product. The last stylist I went to in Cedarhurst I had no issues up until this last year. I know its not the stylist because I spend 3 hours with the stylist and she goes through every strand of my hair. In the past it has been excellent the treatment, no issues at all. My family would all come see this stylist. I decided maybe its the salon they are skimping on the product or something changed in the product. I decided to try Midtown. At Midtown I had a great stylist as well. Used around 3.5 oz of product and spent 3 hours on my hair going through it making sure its perfect. I was convinced this time around it would be perfect. It lasted all about two weeks and after it went downhill. I know for sure its not the stylist. Which leads me to believe something in the product has changed. I do not want to mention the stylist because they really did a meticulous job on ensuring I had enough product and spent a good amount of time ironing every strand. The stylist was lovely. Also, for the record after the treatment I do exactly as I am told and I use Keratin Complex Shampoo & Conditioner. Again my review is based on the Keratin treatment only. This is not towards the stylists or the staff. I found Hair Bar to be one of the best Keratin salons in NYC and very reasonably priced. I have recommended it to everyone I know, however, lately it has been very disappointing and not living up to what it once was. For this reason, I will not be returning to Hair Bar.

1. Senait-Schlachter is an exceptionally skilled hair stylist. I met her providentially when I decided it time to address my frizzy hair. She gave me a Keratin treatment many months ago that improved the texture of my hair and addressed the friz. 2. I returned to Senait a few months later for a trim, which was just right. 3. Today Senait gave me highlights to counter my winter blues; subtle and quite lovely! I wanted my natural color - including touches of white - to be worked in and she again proved herself an artist. Senait is wonderful!

My daughter introduced me to this salon for keratin treatments and told me to ask for Ernie. I never looked back. Reasonably priced—clean, quiet and no waiting. They have coupons online to save a few dollars. I’ve been going for two years now. I’m still very satisfied.

I have been getting keratin treatments done for the last 10 years and have never had a problem. I got the silk plus keratin treatment done last week and it has left an awful smell in my hair no matter how many times I wash it. Would not recommend for people looking to get keratin treatments done.

I’m sure this place is usually great but my stylist was not good. I wish I remembered her name so I could tell you to maybe request someone else. She yanked my head the entire time and kept telling me to keep still even though I absolutely was not moving. I asked for volume and it turned out incredibly flat. I left with very dry, crunchy hair, hairspray in my eyes, and burned ears. I wish I had said something but at that point, I just wanted to get out of the chair and go home. Such an unpleasant experience.

My hair turned out great, just double the price that was on the website. I was expecting to pay 120 (that was on website) but it turned out to be double that. I wouldn’t have booked if I knew the true price.
