1. Curly hair cut with curtain bangs with Liz June 2024, 5 starts, 🧑‍🍳 🤌🏽 2. Hair cut and color with Liz (on virgin hair) August 2024, 3 starts. Again the hair cut was amazing but during the color I requested not to use bleach and was told what I wanted was achievable without it, first try and there was no change (my hair was already dry), Liz seemed confused and I got super nervous and she went to ask someone and she ended up using bleach for the second try, what I didn’t like was that she didn’t ask me or had the courtesy to at least let me know what needed to be done (I was very clear I didn’t want to use bleach), I knew what she was using due the smell and it was already in my hair when I asked, the result wasn’t bad but I left the place feeling sad. My review is the average of both appointments. (4 stars)

Angela was terrific! Her welcome was so warm and friendly I immediately felt relaxed, she discussed thoughtfully with me what I wanted done with my hair, and I love the results.

Had my hair done here not too long ago and amazing job!! Carsyn did sooo well, I got exactly what I asked for, just altered to my hair color and to fit the tone that I was looking for.

Our family all goes here. Wonderful location, decor and stylists. Caroline is our stylist and she does wonderful work with my wife’s curly hair and my straight hair.

Angela is amazing. She made my curls come back. I came in for a perm appointment and she was so honest with me and said you don’t need a perm you just have a bad hair cut hahaha so I came back a week later and she gave me the best hair cut of my life. MF curls are thriving and popping!!!! Now I’m recommending her to all my curly hair friends

Lis cut and colored my hair today and OMG. The girl’s picture needs to be beside the word TALENT in the dictionary. She’s straight forward and won’t lead you astray. The salon is beautiful, the atmosphere is comfortable, and all the stylists have a great attitude, vibe, and energy. Loved my visit and my hair looks better than it ever has. Somehow she did a cut, color, style, and peppered it with confidence for me. Love it. Love it. Love it. Wish I could give 10 stars.

I'm sorry for posting a bad review. I think Lis is really sweet and genuine. I don't want Lis to be in trouble. This salon felt like a safe space for me. I hope it is a safe place for you too. They are good people and I'm sorry, Clay.

This was my first time getting a curly cut, and Carsyn done an amazing job. I love the way it feels and the shape. She took time to explain things and was great. I will be back.

Even though I decided not to go through the process, Lis did extensive research and cared more about the health of my hair than getting money from me. They definitely have your best interest at heart! She was very friendly at the consultation and asked other professionals their opinion to ensure the best result.

I walked into the appointment not knowing they switched the stylist on me until I got into the chair. I was told the stylist I was booked with didn't really work with darker hair and does blonding. The stylist that did my hair was very kind, but just seemed anxious. While washing my hair there was a lot of aggressive washing/pulling which hurt me and I said "ow" and winced a couple of times. The next morning I had to wash my hair because I woke up itching my scalp and my ears were burning so I think she didn't get all of the chemicals off. My ears still itch and feel bumpy and it's been a couple of days since the appointment. I think my gray coverage came off a bit in the front or were missed because I still have some grays in the front. Also, not a huge fan of how my highlights look after I washed my hair. The front 2 strands are darker than the rest of the highlights. All in all, not a good experience and will not be going back. Edit: Honest reviews are not accepted. I had no ill intention with my review. I reviewed my experience honestly. I was told who my stylist would be OVER THE PHONE and after I looked at the person's page online (while on the phone) I agreed to said person. Money isn't an issue as long as I receive proper treatment. I have had many balayage highlights in the past and have never been sensitive to chemicals. Again, I told the stylist "ow" on many occasions. She was still rough with my hair. I have had many people color my hair and cut my hair. I have never been told I was "tender-headed" and no one has ever pulled my hair at a professional salon in that manner. This salon lacks professionalism, which to me is apparent in their response. (Please note: I only switched my rating from 3 to 1 after their response). Edit #2: Please note that the salon changed their ORIGINAL message to me after my first edit, which is very slick I must say. Gas lighting at its finest. Also, my hair did not grow overnight. I noticed the missed gray spots immediately the next day when I was trying to figure out why my scalp was itchy and my ears were burning. Not 3, 4, or 7 days later. What's even more frustrating than what happened is how the salon is now making assumptions instead of reaching out. Again, this speaks to how highly unprofessional this salon is. I will not be coming back and would not recommend this salon to a friend. Please go at your own risk.

My daughter and I went to go get our hair done by Angela for the first time in this salon! She is phenomenal and super experienced!! Listens exactly to what you have in mind and takes the time to execute. We love her energy and the whole vibe going on in the hair salon! I highly recommend going here!!

Carsyn is the sweetest, most attentive, and best hair stylist ever! Every time I go in, she always listens to me and what I want and sends me out with the perfect hair. She treats my hair well and takes great care of it. There’s literally no one I’d rather go to!!!

I had such an exceptional experience with McKenzie cutting, styling, and coloring my gray curly hair. I just moved here and have experienced two disasters from other places: she fixed my hair!! Kenzie is so patient, and she listens with suggestions. I'm definitely returning. She highlighted my gray hair, which every hairdresser I have been to admitted impossible.

Brittany was awesome. She gave me a great cut and color. She dry cuts hair because she feels it gives her more precision. Covered my grays and gave me an awesome blend of highlights and lowlights. 10/10

Absolutely LOVE Clay and the entire team at Hair Bella Salon. I found Clay about 2 years ago in a search for a curly hair specialist. Atmosphere: When you walk in to the salon you feel at home and feel the family like energy within the salon. Services: I’m a curly girl. Not only does Clay and team know how to properly cut curly hair, they understand the science behind hair and their products. While I may be curly, I’ve seen their work on short, long, extensions and perms while sitting in a chair and I’ve never seen a poor job or a stylist that didn’t have passion about their clients needs in the chair. I’m from Columbia, SC and drive 2hrs every 4-5 weeks to see them because they are hands down the best!

BEST SALON EVER EVER EVER. I've been a regular client for YEARS and will continue to be. Brittany is my stylist and she's incredible. I walk in looking homeless but leave like a superstar! Her talent and abilities far surpass her rates, and she always tries to accommodate my schedule. I appreciate her and highly recommend her. Carson is AMAZING too, and really I think everyone there is an artist. The owner Clay is fabulous in every way and truly cares about his salon. He did my hair for my wedding and it was a masterpiece. I have nothing but praises to sing🫶🏼

I highly recommend this hair salon. This is the longest I have stuck with the same salon, and I have no plans of switching. Clay is a true artist. I appreciate that he also takes the time to educate on how to care for your hair. He also offers products that are natural and nutrient rich, providing long term hair health. I am always happy with my hair when I leave. I also find the appointment scheduling to be hassle free, automated reminders timely, and accommodating staff to be an added benefit.

I love going to Clay at Hair Bella Salon. I found Clay about 3 years ago in a search for a curly hair specialist. Clay knows how to properly cut curly hair, and has done an amazing job curating my hairstyle both cut and vivid highlight color. Clay also cuts my husband’s hair and does a fantastic job. We love being able to go to the same place for our hair needs. We are from Campobello, SC and happily drive 40 minutes one way every 4-5 weeks to see him because Hair Bella Salon is the best!
