Kate is such a sweet lady who also has great skills. My husband started to see her when we first moved here in Raleigh about 8 years ago. Now everyone in our family, including my two kids, has her do our hair. Always a good experience to see her!

I’m sorry, but I just didn’t enjoy the experience. From the start, she started commenting on my skin. While she may have thought she was being helpful, asking questions like “What have you done for it” is not something I felt good about. I’m self conscious about it, alway have been. And if I wanted my skin evaluated I would have gone to an esthetician for a facial, which I get as often as I can. I wanted to get out of the chair so badly, but I needed my hair done. I showed her pictures of my last highlights, and she didn’t have a clue how to do it. Seeing a picture of ME, not some random celebrity, and she didn’t understand what I was asking. To get the look I showed her, I needed partial highlights. She decided to give me a “halo,” didn’t really explain what that was, and it cost $20 more. I didn’t think it was necessary. Ultimately, I walked out of the salon not really liking how it turned out. Again, I just wanted to leave. So I told her it was good. And left. I don’t look like I’ve had highlights done, and that was not my intention. I wanted my hair to look lighter at the top because the roots grew out , and I wanted it even throughout with the partials. Instead, I’m “natural.” It is what it is though. I have highlights that blend with my hair so it won’t be bad when it grows out again. Easy maintenance.

Kate was amazing with her tools and my hair came out better than ever! She also did a cut for my mum and treatment and she looked great! No hair stylist has ever made my mum's short hair look so good!! Kind of high price point but totally worth for treating yourself to great hair care! She even gave us a discount for first time customers! I still use her tips to this day and my hair growth is improving!
