I am a local wedding photographer of 14 years and have had dozens of clients use Rooted Rose for wedding day hair and makeup. None of them have ever had anything to say but total praise for Jenn's amazing work. From the photographer side, her makeup knowledge and skill make my job easier. There are lots of artists whose work I have to color correct in the editing phase when it looks either too washed out or harsh. In my opinion, Jenn is one of the, if not THE best in the state. She has also done my own hair and makeup and I've never felt more myself and beautiful with the result. Highly recommend!

I discovered Jenn on Instagram after spending months trying to find a hairstylist in the Greenville area. I’ve had trouble getting my desired shade of blonde/seamless blend until I found Jenn. She is truly knowledgeable, passionate and talented at what she does, and continuously invests in her education to deliver the best of the best. So thankful I found Jenn!

Jenn is the best of the best! I can sit in her chair with full confidence knowing I’ll love the end result before she even asks for my vision. Her knowledge and experience is evident by her skills and the results that are created. Whenever I discuss future hair appointments with friends, I always tell them that the outcome will be, “Whatever Jenn wants to do!” Because those results are the best results!! I always leave feeling refreshed by good conversations and amazing hair.

I found Jenn on Instagram and knew that I had to get my hair done by her! I was not disappointed. Jenn will not only make your hair look great, but she will provide you with conversation and education for your hair. I highly recommend following her on Instagram as she will update when she has last minute availability/is almost booked etc. The process of booking appointments is very easy as well.

I got my hair done from Jenn for the first time a month ago and I am very happy with the results. Even a month later I absolutely love the cut and color. She gave me layers that were absolutely adorable and even a month later my color looks brand spankin new. There is NO harsh growout and she knows what will look good on her client and that is very rare I feel like. She’s 100% worth the money. Don’t hesitate to book with her. You will NOT be disappointed.

Jenna does an amazing job! I’ve been going to her for a couple of years now, and I always get so many compliments when she does my hair. Her salon is relaxing and clean. She offers you a beverage while you get your hair done, and she remembers every detail about your life that you’ve shared with her on previous visits. She has always been on time with my appointments from start to finish. I LOVE the professional product line she carries! The Amika products have totally changed how I do my hair. I save so much time now, and my hair is the healthiest it’s ever been. They are totally affordable too! She is VERY responsive to messages and answers any questions you have about your hair and products. I highly recommend her! She spends so much time and money continuing to invest in classes to take her skills to the next level.

My family recently moved to Greenville and were looking for a hair stylist who had knowledge of curly hair. We were so happy to find Jenna who now cuts/colors/treats mine, my mom’s, and my sister’s hair. She listens to your hair goals and sets up a plan to effectively achieve them with realistic results. She’s professional and responsive, personally my hair has never looked better!

Orange hair. Uneven cut. But the worst part was that she tried to gaslight me. She didn't do anything near what I had asked, and acted like it was my fault when I contacted her about it. I don't typically leave negative reviews, but felt it's necessary to leave a warning for whoever goes to her. People make mistakes, but she did NOT deal with hers kindly or professionally.

The color service I received was outstanding. She did exactly what I asked for and I think she is very skilled. However, there were a few issues. 1. The girl who shampooed me was terrible. I had color in my ears, all over my face, behind ears etc. Just a lackadaisical attitude and wash. Completely disappointed, especially for the price. 2. I was not styled, was not even offered to be styled. They blew dry my hair and stood looking at me making comments about how they now had all this extra time until the next client. Again, shocking considering the price. The color was on point, but the service, professionalism and maturity level are not. In response to the reply. I dont think it's fair to pay premium pricing for someone to "learn" on my hair. And I should have been styled regardless. It's part of the service package you offer. "Style with a hot tool" is the exact wording.

Trouble cutting curly hair and doesn't listen to the customer's wishes. Jenn, You're twisting the truth. I initially contacted you for a keratin treatment and conditing. Before meeting me you said I probably needed a good cut. Which honesty made me concerned that you were focused on cutting it rather than seeing how you could help repair it especially since I was new to you. When I arrived you wanted to cut it dry. I said 2 inches would be good, you said 4. I said NO. You said let's compromise at 3. I said 2 inches 3 at most. I told you about my son's upcoming wedding and I wasn't sure how I wanted to wear my hair yet and we could always cut more off but it can't be put back on.This all didn't matter because you did what you wanted anyway by taking SEVERAL inches (~6) in overall length. But what made things worse is a chopped shorter crown layer. This was not face framing that we discussed. When you do this to curly hair it sticks out and looks very chopped. I texted to see if you could blend it. You responded surprised and said you would for a 15 min dry cut but be sure that I didn't wear my hair in a bun with an exclamation point. Honestly, I was leery for you to touch my hair again especially with your responses and not listening to me the first time. I have two choices now, either get someone else to take their time and try to fix it which will cost me more money or let that crown layer grow out. The keratin and conditioning treatment did help which tells me that it would have helped the hair you cut off prior to treating it.

Where to start?? I moved to the Greenville area in June of 2022 and found Jenn online while looking for blonding specialists. She didn't have an available appointment until August (I was desperate for an appointment as it had been 2 months already since my last highlight + cut and I was tempted to go with the first person I found that could get me in asap), but I am SO SO happy I waited for her availability. I have only had two other stylist my whole life so I feel like my expectations are kind of high -- she FAR FAR exceeded my expectations and THEN some. She takes the time to discuss my ideas for highlights/cut/etc. but also tells me what she think would look best (including plans for the followup appointment). Her Instagram is full of client photos, and pics of her doing hair and going to continuing education classes/shadowing/conferences that gives a peek of her life "behind the chair." I have had two appointments so far, but I feel like I have known her for years - she is so easy to talk to. She offers coffee, other beverages, and snacks too. What's not to love?? Having just moved to a new area, visiting Jenn's salon is truly a highlight of my experience in Greenville so far. She helps me feel beautiful and confident during a big transition phase in my life (moving etc.). I just had my hair done but I am already excited for my next appointment!

After searching for awhile for a new hairstylist bc I was new in town, when I sat in Jenns chair I felt so much peace that she would finally give me the hair of my dreams. Thank God I was right! My hair is always beautiful! she’s super talented and well versed in her craft. She knows hair! Bonus she’s not an uptight kind of stylist that acts like you’re not worth their time. Love love love!

I booked an appointment with Jenna based off reviews. She is the sweetest, most talented stylist! She absolutely loves what she does and it shows. She is enthusiastic about creating a transformation style that you will love. She is very knowledgeable about new trends and hair care. I had 8 inches cut and a balayage color. I fully trusted her with my hair, and I will return to her as my permanent go to stylist. Love, love, love my new hair. I highly recommend her! A++++++

Jenn is amazing! I will only ever go to her for cut and color as long as I live in Greenville area! 100% recommend. She is worth every penny. Over the summer, I got pink and purple highlights put in my hair and it was so fun and tastefully done! It was my first time coloring my hair and I was so nervous but she explained everything and it turned out beautiful! I am going back to get some holiday highlights put in and I. Cannot. Wait.

Jenna was fantastic! I have been looking for a good stylist for awhile. I liked her cause I could tell she really took her continued education and progressing with her own skill seriously. So I knew that she was going to provide me with quality services and take pride in her work. She was super helpful in showing me know how to start caring better for my hair too and the products she recommended were reasonably priced unlike some other stylist that want you to buy super expensive products. She'll also tell you exactly what you need to do to your hair and what's realistic. I went in not wanting a cut but but she told me I really needed to take some length off and she was right it looks so much better! I really liked her and would trust her with anything. My results were amazing and exactly what I was envisioning. Can’t wait for my next appointment!
