I recently visited Miguel for the first time to get a keratin treatment on my hair as the salon I usually go to does not offer is the service. Miguel is professional, personable, was extremely gentle with my hair and explained everything along the way. He took his time completing the treatment and never made me feel rushed. He also recommended a shampoo and conditioner that I purchased and it has been remarkable for my hair (it’s also relatively budget friendly). I will definitely go back to him for my next keratin treatment and highly recommend him.

I was new to Chicago looking for a salon for my Brazilian Blowout and Hair by Miguel popped up- I’m glad it did! Besides doing a great job with the Brazilian Blowout, he has done many great balayages on me and really takes the time to understand what you want. He’s also the most gentle when brushing through your hair and does not rip through it to save time like most hairstylists. To top it off his prices are the most reasonable I’ve ever seen! Would def recommend him to anyone.

Miguel was welcoming and kind and gave me an excellent haircut and shampoo and conditioner. He gave me advice on how to keep my hair looking good after, and i will absolutely be returning to his salon.

Miguel listens and delivers, and that’s what makes him a gem. He does not rush but instead takes his time and asks for your feedback as he proceeds. He airs on the side of cutting less rather than more and ensures you are involved throughout the process. His prices are reasonable and making an appointment is easily done online. Recommend 100%

Been a customer of Miguel's for about 9 months. Started out great. He goes the extra mile for customer satisfaction and let's you in immediately to fix your hair if you're not satisfied. He had interesting ideas for my hair that I liked, but he kept wanting to go in a different direction with it and would resist when I'd say what I wanted instead. It reached a peak when he started to say, "You know most of my customers don't disagree with me..." and "most of my customers just let me cut their hair without any disagreement..." etc. It became very awkward when he refused to let me tip him. It works out for some, but, obviously, if you have a differing opinion of your hairstyle, he won't let it be. Hope it works out for you. UPDATE: So, upon reading the review, Miguel sends me a text message saying, "Hey, just to let you know you was not my client for 9 months. Plus you don't said in the review that you don't know what you want. That's all. Good luck. Your review is nothing for me. Thanks". Just be a professional and accept the reviews you get.

Miguel is very gentle and skillful at his craft. Not once I had an issue with any of the procedures involved in the Brazilian blowout he did for me. Apart from the fact that I loved the Brazilian blowout, he gave me so much useful advice and tried out some products on my hair that I asked about. He answered all my questions. If you’re looking for a patient, kind and gentle stylist, go to him for sure. I’m never taking my hair anywhere else! I could not be more pleased about my experience working with Miguel. Miguel has cut my hair 10-14 times a year for the past five years, and it’s perfect every time. Miguel is a professional who understands men’s hairstyles and has the ability to deliver those styles to his clients. Miguel takes the time to understand the look his clients are going for, and after the haircut, your satisfaction is his number one priority. I have recommended, and will continue to recommend, Miguel to anyone looking for a fantastic men’s haircut - and would give 6 stars if I could.

Miguel does great work! I have been going to him for haircuts for almost two years and I have never been dissatisfied with his work. He definitely knows his way around a head of hair and his years of experience show it. I would recommend him to anybody!

Miguel is the best stylist I've ever used. He is super friendly and nice to talk to and my hair looks incredible every single time! I would recommend him to anybody in Chicago. Don't have enough good things to say about him.
