Coolest experience ever! I have curly hair, and Trent used super unique techniques that I never saw another stylist use before to cut my hair. It looks amazing, I've seriously never had a cut like this! And I loved that they would explain why they're using the techniques that they're using, and talked you through the whole process so you always knew what was happening. It wasn't like any other cut, it was so cool and unique! Plus, you won't just be getting a professional haircut, but you'll be getting an entire personalized lesson on how to take care of your hair properly, unique to the hair that you have! Trent answered all of my questions and took their time to teach me. As someone newer to curly hair (after years of straightening and treating it as straight), I've learned so much on how to properly care for it and make it look amazing! They showed me how to properly use certain tools and combs, and the best techniques for washing and recommended methods to make the curls look amazing at home. I learned so much, and I can't wait to put all this knew knowledge to immediate use! I left feeling really confident and beautiful, Trent really took their time to make me feel pampered and fabulous! My hair looks amazing, I learned so much, and the experience as a whole was just so much fun because they were so fun to talk to and spend time with. I can't wait to come back! Thank you for the fantastic experience and for making me feel gorgeous!

Trent is an out of the box hairdresser. He utilizes techniques you will not find at another salon and truly cares about his clientele. He is kind and has an impeccable attention to detail. I had a wonderful experience and plan to return in the future.

I unfortunately did not have a good experience. Trent was late and then did not value my time. Upon arrival and I suspected a little tipsy due to stumbling down the hallway ,made a personal call and talked in length to the person on the other end. Then sat down and took off his shoes and started rubbing his feet. Talked and talked about personal life and weird topics. As an hour passed with not an attempt to start my hair and whatever cocktail that was being consumed, I decided I was going to pass on this attempt. I just feel it was unprofessional in so many ways. Rubbing his feet and then going to touch my hair was just the icing on top of this experience. I would suggest to be more professional in appearance and in actions and to value a client's time. I can't say if he does a good haircut because I left.

Trent is a great hairstylist and a talented colorist! He always makes me feel and look years younger after my hair is done. I really wanted to like this place and give it a try since all the reviews say such good things but sadly, I got no response and no other way to schedule an appointment.

I am so happy I found Trent in Dallas! I have been getting Global Keratin (GK) for almost ten years now. I moved to Texas without being able to get my hair done on the East coast due to COVID-19. When I called Hair by Shenanigans, Trent answered the phone himself. He immediately offered a consult and was easy to schedule with. He spent an hour with me going over the process and answering my questions. He was extremely flexible and stayed until 10pm on a week night to do my service. He was detailed and thorough! He even checked in on me after the wash period to ask how my hair was. I highly recommend Trent and the GK keratin! I will definitely be returning!

I can't recommend Trent enough, he is simply incredible–there aren't words to sum up the uniqueness of the experience, as this is so much more than just a haircut. I have extremely kinky curly hair (3a/3b) and feel like I'm constantly in an uphill battle with it. Trent took the time to explain hair care as well as show me how to better detangle and condition my hair in the shower, and even gave me some of the product he used to take home. I was given more attention in this appointment than I've received from probably all of the other stylists I've seen combined–Trent is that patient and generous. He also gave a cut based on the shape of my face and skull, which is one of the most unique and flattering methods I've ever seen. This is truly his passion, and his talent and craft really shines through. I'd easily pay 3x more what he charged for the professionalism and attention to detail I got–you simply won't find something like this anywhere else. Above all, Trent is an exquisite and ethereal soul. He's incredibly intellectual, articulate, and powerful. Having conversation with him was quite the privilege, and I learned so much about both hair and life. So grateful that our paths met.

One of the best haircuts I've ever had! Trent took his time and provided helpful tips on how to keep my long hair healthy. You can really tell Trent knows his stuff when it comes to hair. Don't expect a quick 10minute haircut, but I'm sure if you need one, Trent can accommodate to meet your time needs.

Trent is amazingly talented. I got the Global Keratin treatment for my medium to long super curly hair. This was the first time I got Keratin treatment done and I wanted the best in town and a professional that I trust with my long think hair. Trent is an amazing human being who loves what he does. My old hairstylist was out of town and I looked up places all over. Eventually I stumbled upon his page. He had so many positive reviews I decided to give him a try. Believe me when I tell you I will not be going back to my old stylist. I have long hair so I went to him for a trim. He didn't cut too much hair off which many stylists do. My hair looked healthy, yet long. He has an awesome soul and passion for what he does. If you're wondering if you should go to his salon, take this as a sign and go.

My first time at the salon, easy 5 out of 5 stars. It wasn't just a perfect haircut but the A+ effort that was put in doing the haircut as well as segnificant time was spent on consultation explaining to me each step of the process and what hair cut style would fit my skull shape and hair type. Honestly the effort that Trent puts in his work is similar to an experienced tattoo artist. (The difirence that Tatoo artist must do it since the choice is for life but hair stylist have greater opportunity for mistake thus only a person that has great pride in their work will invest so much time and effort in a product that last only few weeks) PS I'm super picky about my hair and always have something I can comment that was done wrong. The haircut that was done by Trent is the first time that I have no comments other than I wish I would have found this salon long time ago.

Probably the best hairdresser I’ve ever had! Trent is simply the most honest person I’ve met. You can tell he isn’t trying to just get your money and sell you products. There is a difference between going to your job which most people see as a necessity and a chore, versus going to a job you consider a necessity but also love what you’re doing. Trent is not only an artist, but he really KNOWS hair. He makes sure to inform you thoroughly before you make any big changes. I’ve heard good thinks about the Keratin treatment. But I also know that when it comes to extensive hair treatments, whether it be coloring or something else, you HAVE to chose your hairdressers carefully. Keratin is expensive, but I also wanted someone to be upfront and honest with me about how exactly it is done. Trent knows the science behind hair, and carefully informs you on what to do and what not to do before and after the treatment. He is kind and probably has one of the biggest hearts I’ve ever seen. If you’re looking to make some dramatic change to your hair, or even just a simple cut, please do consider Trent. He makes your hair a priority. And he always wants to make sure that everyone who leaves his studio feels beautiful. He even stayed till 10 o’clock at night just to finish my treatment. We were both really tired towards the end of it, but he never rushed anything and made sure to do his job very throughly. He believes that no matter what you’re doing, you have to do it by giving it your best.

Trent is amazing. I had been looking for my first hairstylist to get a personalized, feminine cut and wasn't sure what to expect. He spent over two hours whittling away at my huge head of hair, paid attention to detail every step of the way. Trent helped bring out a style that I had trouble communicating and I am loving it. Highly recommend, will go again.

Trent is the best. I've been looking for someone who's proficient in Global keratin treatment for so long and I've finally found what I've been looking for. He exceeded my expectations. The rest do this treatment in an hour or two but Trent took more than 4 hours because he's a perfectionist and he is so detail-oriented. I've never had a Keratin treatment that lasts that long in my hair before although I've been doing keratin/ getting keratin treatments done since 2009. Trent makes sure that you get your money's worth, not like the others who have no regard of the health of our hair and want us to come to get it done often so they can make more money. It's so refreshing to find someone in this industry who is not greedy or money-oriented. I always suffer from a pain in my legs and knees after sitting for so long and I always had that pain after Keratin treatment but not at Trent's place because he reupholstered his chair himself and made sure to put an ottoman for me to extend my legs (without me asking or complaining). As a perfectionist, I know perfectionism when I see it and I have so much respect for it and for this level of thoughtfulness, attentiveness and this sensitivity to others' needs. In a consumerism world that treat us as numbers, you can't help but appreciate this personalized experience so much I'm a customer for life now and not just because of his work ethics and his talent but also because of his amazing energy. He's so knowledgeable on a wide variety of topics including nutrition which is my ultimate passion. I've honestly never met anybody like him before. Most people learn only what they need to progress in life and career but Trent has an encyclopedic knowledge about almost everything, a unique and very positive personal philosophy and self-awareness that's very rare to find. I admire that so much because I'm a writer and an intellect myself, this type of energy and this brainstorming inspire me the most. I used to hate going to get Keratin treatments because it's usually a long process and I get bored easily but now it's a treat to me because of the mentally stimulating conversation I have with the awesome Trent and the positive vibes I get in this place. The decor also is very cheerful. The whole experience is top-notch. Thank you you for your existence, Trent.

Trent is the bomb! I've had long hair and I only trust him with cutting it because he has a great understanding of the geometry of the human head and how the hair SHOULD be cut depending on the kind of hair (curly, straight, etc...). He pays very close attention to detail, and is very knowledgeable - definitely the best hair cut I've ever had! Also, he takes the time to get to know you and what you want out of the hair cut before he starts cutting, which is a level of personability that is rare these days. I've had at least three hair cuts from him, each time my hair was about a foot long (and curly) and he cut it short to perfection - it's like he sculpts with your hair! This most recent appointment we tried a very snazzy (and my gf says very very cute) hair cut that I can call my own unique style. If you're looking for a new style or to simply clean up the style you love, give this Barber Wizard the chance he deserves!

I loved my experience with Trent! I had long lost hope for my hair, yet Trent was able to make wonders and give me longer, silkier, and healthier hair. His application of the GK Keratin Treatment made my dry, course ,curly hair manageable. Ten out of ten recommend and I look forward to my next treatments with him!!
