New to the area and was looking for an affordable salon that could do my hair, I have a sort of complicated style, or it can be complicated, I am blonde in the front with a money piece that is larger than the average and I do darkest brown possible in the back with a strip of a vivid fashion Color in there too. I had previously been quoted elsewhere by a stylist for $90 an hour and she wanted me for anywhere between 4-6 hours...I could not afford to maintain my roots every 5 weeks at that price, so I happened upon the hair color center, went in for a consultation with June and ended up getting my hair colored the very same day. I am so pleasantly surprised and happy with my hair. My dark roots were very thick from not having them done for about 10 weeks now and June pulled my dark brown roots to the lightest shade of blonde I have seen on my hair. I'm truly amazed she was able to pull them so light with absolutely no copper or bronze peeking through at all. I mean there is no orange on my hair what so ever. I'm so used to having to do a purple mask even after getting it done and there is absolutely no need for one at all this time..my blonde is SO BLONDE, I love it. She did a great job on my dark brown too, it looks dark and refreshed and my fashion color: i went with a blue this time and she took it all the way to the root in the most perfect line with absolutely no bleeding into the blonde or brown, it's so perfectly neat while still blending into the hair. She basically did exactly what I asked for and wanted when it came to my color and I really appreciate her work and the time and concentration she put into it. The staff here are all so kind and helpful and I really felt taken care of in this space. I'll definitely be going back when it comes time for a touch up. I normally don't leave reviews on places, but since it's a good one and it can be so hard to find salons, I felt like sharing my experience:)

First visit to this salon and WOW! AMAZING! Backstory is my 90 year old mother has been going to a "small town" salon in Nokomis to have her hair done for several years after her stylist in Venice retired. They could never get her color right (salt & pepper) I moved here about 2 years ago and have spent the last year or so doing the communicating with them to get the situation corrected, they just couldn't get it right. I found Hair Color Center on line and called for a consultation. We had our consultation with Angelo and everything sounded great so we scheduled an appointment for her and a trim and style for myself about 3 weeks out, to give my mom's hair time for a little new growth. Initially I was disappointed when I realized that my mom was not going to be in the hands of Angelo, I thought that's who we made the appointment with! He even walked us to the front desk to help get us scheduled. However, Cindy did an amazing job on my mom's hair color and is a Very nice gal! It took 4 hours to get the look she wanted but it looks fantastic! She will still go to her small town salon for her weekly wash and set but we will be setting up a standing appointment for color with Cindy! Leslie did a Fantastic trim and style on my hair and it looks and feels so great! I have long white virgin hair and don't do to much with it, it's just how I like it. Leslie put a deep conditioner on it, and it feels and looks PERFECT! So, Fantastic experience for both of us and look forward to going back! Also Leslie and Cindy, sorry about the small tip....my 90 year old mom with dementia is just used to leaving a tip on her $27 hair day. I will take care of the tip next time I am in your area or on our next visit. Blessings to you both!

Angelo was able to fit me in last minute to fix my color which I had messed up by bleaching and toning my hair at home. He did a great job and my hair color now looks fabulous. He and his team are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

I have to start off by saying I am so happy and thank you!!!! I had a really bad hair color mess.. I needed it corrected so bad I just couldn’t even stand looking at myself in the mirror! I drove all around town calling salons after salon and each one I talked to did not want to do it. My hair was bleached badly and I was stuck with orange/reddish hair which I could not stand! I wanted the color to be bright blonde. Obviously the task was too hard and no one wanted to tackle it because they did not want to ruin my hair or maybe they just didn’t know how!! Lucky for me I found hair color center called them up and they said yes please come In. I was greeted very kindly by Mr. Angelo and his wife and the woman working in the store. I really felt comfortable inside which usually I get anxiety when I do things like this. I sat down on the chair I told them I did not have a lot of money and they said don’t worry we will take care of you. He was able to do my hair right then and there!! I got lucky for once. He said people swear he has a magic wand and I am here to agree!! My hair is amazing!! It’s bright blonde just like I wanted and I can not stop looking at it! With 65 years experience If you need your hair corrected really I swear he is the guy!! He’s very sweet and mindful I recommend them to the moon and back!! Thank you again I have my self confidence back! 😁😁

Wow this place is Awesome. Donna runs around mulitasking doing everything to keep all the clients happy. And when I got there this morning they got me right in. Angelo works wonders let me tell U. This place is top notch . Please try this place for sure. Advice from Ohio girl.

used Hair Color Center due to highly rated feedbacks, including own sister (who i called crying for help!!!! her hair's like a Barbie doll... so I knew I could count on her. Sis IMMEDIATELY recommended Angelo, w/out hesitation. She IS SO Right on!) Hair Color Center is Awesome.... So Glad i went to this Professional team for Color CORRECTION!!! (& You will too). OH MY!!!!!!! TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY, by The End results (i was seriously shaking internally thru whole process, thinking there was NO Hope + it wasn't till the final end, did the reveal shine!...so, remember: Patience Really is a Virtue!) Yes be Ready, it was almost a Full day's job: BUT worth it! Expect to pay- for they worked Most of the day, BUT aren't You worth it?!! When needed, will definitely be going back to Angelo for future care. I went from an aging tomboy/housewife to a WOW! Sophisticated lady. Angelo, hair colorist, his wife Leslie (cut + dry) + this Amazing, courteous professional team were Absolutely quick to provide a necessary preliminary consultation week before, + the day of: hard-working + Perfect job of! Truly Top-notch, Professional attitudes & Perfect job with the horrifying ORANGE issue thrown @ them!! (I had thought it was a Temporary product, I'd put on my hair: NOT!!!) Anglo was super rude and implied i couldn’t afford the work. i wanted corrective work and he lied about how it would take a full day and that he is in “season” however the place was completely empty. Also told me it would at the least 500 dollars, and that i won’t find anyone eles who would fix my hair. He was trying to force me to pay more than 500 dollars for things i didn’t want.

Love this place ....only get my hair done about every 2 years or so and they have made me look amazing just letting them do what they think is me and got it right every time.... its been a little over 2 yrs now so I'm over due... but they know there stuff....and when I first went they didn't have enough time to do what I wanted and had me back at no cost later to finish the job right... ❤❤❤❤

Leslie is awesome! I have really silky hair that’s difficult to cut. Leslie made every strand fall just right! She’s so professional and made me feel like I was the only one in the salon! I recommend going to Leslie for your next cut!😎

You need to go to go to this place! You won’t be disappointed! After relocating to Sarasota, from up north, it was time for me to find a new hairdresser. We all know that can be a challenge. I did try a few other places and had “ok” experiences. However, I still wasn’t thrilled and was spending a lot of money. So I happened to see a girl with a cute hair style and color. I asked where she went and she immediately wrote down the name of the Hair Care Center and included her stylist Lori. She said, you need to go to this place! So I went and all of the other great reviews you’ve read are absolutely correct. This place has the very nicest people and a fun atmosphere. Oh, and talk about product with great prices! Plus Lori listened to my needs and gave me a great cut and also took time to discuss products with me. I even got to have an opinion of my current hair color from the infamous Angelo and he said to leave it as is, which made me feel so much better! Then Donna and Jesse really helped with my questions regarding other products. I’m still smiling thinking about the whole experience. Hope you’ll try it! I certainly will be telling everyone I know to go there!
