Sorry to say sometimes it’s a hit or miss. My child went in and as you can see by the pictures it’s not a good cut. Is it a big deal? No, he’s 8. Did I fix the haircut discrepancies? Yes, I faded it and used scissors to mellow his double crown (not shown). The pictures show the actual cut from Haircuttery. Perhaps, I am thinking these are beginner stylist, straight out of beauty school and so they should be more forthcoming and the business should charge less. His stylist was Brook :/. I just want to make sure children, with parents consent or any individual should be made aware of possible mishaps due to experience.

Val is AMAZING! She has been cutting my hair for over 20 years. I will follow her to whatever salon she goes to, yes that means Hair Cuttery. She listens to what you want. She's fast. She's efficient. She talks to you beforehand and makes sure she knows the look you are going for. I don't ever walk away from her chair stressing if I'm going to get a good haircut or not. I am picky and low maintenance which is hard to do with my hair type. Regardless, if I ask her to keep it long or short or add layers, frame it around my face, side bang or take out bulk without using thinning shears she achieves the look I'm going for. Its important to me to that I use very little product, don't have to blow dry it or flat iron or use tools to make it look good! I am low maintenance and that's hard to do with my thick frizzy long wavy coarse hair.

Worst possible haircut. The lady who did it was so careless and cut hair haphazardly with no basic attention. She was also rough and ran the trimmer so quickly to the point hair was getting pulled instead of trimmed which was quite painful at times. She wanted to get it done as quickly as possible, which she did as this was the quickest worst cut I’ve ever got. She should be the last person to cut anyones hair based on my experience. There should be some basic attention and professionalism in the service you provide. Will never return here.

Annalise is absolutely amazing! We have brought our non verbal autistic daughter to her multiple times — Annalise takes her time, is patient, compassionate and always does an amazing job. Finding a stylist like her is like finding a gem. Highly recommend her!

Told us it would be a 15 minute wait and they would text us when they were ready for us when coming in Tuesday night at 8pm. 3 stylists, only 1 male customer in the shop getting his haircut. One blonde hairdresser stood in front of one of the hair stations in the center and literally just fluffed and fixed her hair for 5 minutes while we waited. THEN another customer walked in while we were already waiting in line AND THEY HELPED HIM RIGHT AWAY, EVEN THOUGH WE HAD ARRIVED FIRST AND WERE STILL WAITING FOR OUR TEXT CONFIRMATION. Ended up waiting 30 minutes. Go to another place that will respect your time!

Took both of my high energy boys for a haircut at the same time as walk-ins. We’re were greeted right away and had both of them seated in no time but were also patient with my older son’s indecision at the time. Kristina and Grace both did amazing jobs with the haircuts and had great interactions with the kids making for a pleasant experience all around.

Do not go here. This is the haircut they gave my husband July 18th. This is AFTER another hair dresser tried to fix what the other hair dresser who works there did.

Jennifer was super nice, but I am very disappointed in my hair. I asked for her to leave my money pieces in my hair- she colored the roots of them red and it’s blotchy. The color does not match the photo I showed. And I spent 5 hours in the salon for a 90 minute appointment. She told me the extra bold red roots she created would “wash out” and that it was the oil that she had put on my hair. It’s been a week and the top of my head is still bright red while the rest of my hair is black.

This place has two stylist that doesn’t know how to cut hair ! I went in for a trim n layers and my daughter was donating hair ! First of all the hair Cuttery doesn’t support hair donations and just want their money ! Anyways the lady who did my daughter’s hair chopped it unevenly on the sides and well mine she took about 7-8 inches off my hair and chopped it ! As I say there telling here that was a lot she just cut off she tells me oh it will look good ! Then proceeds to act like things are fine til she blows drys my hair n I tell her this is not ok this is not what I asked for and I had long hair all gone now ! The lady asked if she could maybe trim it in areas to make it better um no I said your not touching my hair again ! She did apologize but that didn’t fix my hair was a mess ! I filled out a report and heard nothing from this company also filled out online for my daughter heard nothing about that either ! My point is be aware when they have scissors in their hand they get too scissor happy and do what they want not what the customer wants ! The two stylist really need to go back to school n learn how to listen to what the client wants and how to correctly cut someone’s hair ! This is very upsetting ! Stay clear is my advise ! The first pic is what how long my hair was before coming to this place , second is the before what I asked for and well the last ones are after she chopped it ! My daughter’s hair is the last pic before she donated and after w it also chopped ! My daughter only wanted layers on the ends in the back on the bottom not anything like this ! Doing a good deed shouldn’t end up in a terrible experience!

When I saw a Marquita today, I was about ready to have my hair cut off. I had a perm a few weeks before and it severely dried my hair out, couldn't do anything with it. Thank you so much Marquita you made my day and made me feel very special and pretty again. See you in a few weeks

Biggest mistake, i told her to do layer cut and she completely shoertened my hair and did something it is not at all a hair cut. Left some of the long hair strands. Please make sure with whom you are scheduling your hair cut. I showed pictures of how i wanted a hair cut . And she literally did bob cut to me.very very very upset with her hair cut

I had such long hair when I walked in before my appointment. It was down to the end of my waist and I just wanted some shaping and maybe 2-3 inches off. I left the salon with nearly a foot cut off. And the long length of my hair was gone. My hair was cut in choppy layers. I left the salon literally wanting to cry. I wish I had gotten the name of the stylist. I wouldn’t recommend this shop. It’s gonna take forever for my hair to grow back to that length.

I went to this specific Hair Cuttery salon a few weeks ago and had the worst experience. When I first booked my appointment over the phone, I stated that I was a black girl with kinky 4C textured hair and asked if they had any hairstylists who could do my hair. I was immediately reassured that there was a stylist who could. So, the day of my appointment, I'm greeted by a friendly hairstylist, but from the moment she started doing my hair, she seemed nervous and confused, especially during and after the hair wash. When she started blow-drying my hair, things began to go further downhill because she didn't know how to stretch my curly hair with a blow dryer, as it kept staying curly. So, for nearly an hour, she's blow-drying the same section, and her coworkers try to help her out, but they're busy with their own clients, so it's mainly just quick 2-minute spurts of help, and then they're back to what they're doing. My hairstylist could see things weren't working out and STILL managed to take a hair straightener to straighten my hair WHILE CURLY, which left my hair stiff, and the roots were still curly as well as the ends. After 2 tries, I tell her I'm done and I'd like to stop, and I end up paying and leaving. She only took off 10 dollars because the original price was $70, but only charged me $60, but I tipped $10 because she was kind to me and she tried her best. But I'm still upset because it should be expressed from the very beginning that a hairstylist simply cannot do black hair, so it saves everyone time and money. And thanks to her, I've got heat damage in the section she kept over blow-drying. My only advice is to the black girls with curly hair, simply avoid this location because it's not worth the hassle or heat damage, and you'll just feel like a science experiment like I did, so simply find a better black hair salon.

I expressed significant dissatisfaction with the service I received, prompting me to interrupt the stylist mid-service. Despite providing examples and prior photos illustrating the desired style, the outcome fell short. Notably, the blowout neglected to address the ends of my hair, seemingly for the purpose of adding volume or body. As someone with naturally curly hair, the audible crunching during brushing indicated a lack of familiarity with, if not experience in, working with black or natural hair textures. Despite paying for a signature deluxe service inclusive of a blowout, the result was far from satisfactory, leaving my hair in a less than desirable condition. While I do not fault the stylist personally, it would be prudent for the establishment to refrain from advertising expertise in handling coarse hair types. Regrettably, this experience marks the fourth occasion across four different Hair Cuttery locations where my requests were not met, despite allowing time for hair recovery between visits. Transparency regarding stylists limitations would be preferable to the wasting of money for subpar services.

Valerie did cut my daughter's hair and it was horrible, my daughter is a teenager and she has been crying after that. The haircut was not what we expected and fit what we paid for a layered haircut with long hair, basically, she chops her hair with nonstyle and leaves my daughter's hair so short without any style. I would not recommend this place. I give it a star because Google doesn't allow it to post a review.

We have been here twice now for my 3 year old boy and both times were great! He actually got his first haircut at a hair salon here back in December and the stylist was nice and engaged with him. He only had a cut but was not fussing at all the whole time. Last Friday we came back and had Marquita, who was not the same stylist but again was extremely nice to our son. I especially appreciated how she kept asking him if he liked the length or if he wanted it shorter and whether he was ok. He had shampoo and conditioner along with the cut this time and while he didn’t seem very comfortable in the shampoo chair, he tolerated it and it was brief enough to prevent any major push back. All in all, we’ve had great experiences here with our son and would come back.

The only reason for 4 stars is that the other staff were kind and tried their best to help. If you go here, avoid Valarie at all costs. She took care of my daughter and cut her hair way too short. I wanted a trim, she took off 2 inches. I didn’t make a fuss because it’s kid hair and I didn’t want my daughter to be upset. I thanked her and made a big fuss of how pretty it was for my kid, cringing on the inside. I also asked her to help make an appointment for me for the next day as I wanted to get a haircut kid free and I had the day off. She made an appointment for me the day after, I don’t have a day off then. I made the mistake of not checking the date on the text which always comes hours after you make the appointment. So I show up, driving through snow and they don’t have an appointment for me and are fully booked. The other staff squeezed me in, half an hour post my appointment time. Victoria did a wonderful job with my hair. What a frustrating experience on the appointment situation though!
