Love this place. Tina is great. She really knows how to work w thick curly hair. Curly hair sometimes feels like it has a mind of its own, but she understands how it behaves and will get your hair the way you want it!

I’m new to the area and I had Amy cut my hair. I don’t think I’ve ever had so many compliments. My hair looks great. The cut is beautiful and very easy to take care of. I would recommend Amy to anybody.

Amy caused my hair to have breakage. She used so much heat on my hair that there would be billows of smoke from the hair dryer and she would even burn my ears at times the heat would be so high. And each time that I complained, she dismissed me. I will never return here!

Hair Design International is a renown gem in Chicago's historic Hyde Park neighborhood. And true to its name, the practice is international indeed with its highly skilled and diverse staff. This is easily confirmed given the varied demographic of clientele that frequent the hair salon. I'd especially like to acknowledge Tina and Amy who are phenomenal.

Haircuts usually make me nervous, since I haven't always been satisfied with the results. Needless to say, Tina definitely exceeded my expectations. She knew exactly what I wanted and cut it even better than I could have imagined. I even went home with a new hair product in my pocket. Very reasonable prices for the quality of service. Will definitely be coming back.

I do not know how this stars come from. A cold unpersonally atmosphere. a dentist office looks more friendly. no coffee or friendly service. man haircut no washing and 50 bucks (no student discount) credit card costs extra. And worst thing every turkish greek 10 dollar barber shop is better and friendlier and offers coffee.

I have been going to Amy for over 20 years she has been my stylist from the beginning of time. I am an African American women with natural hair and Amy has grew my hair, trained my hair and always leave satisfied for many years. She specializes in healthy hair and even with blond highlights my hair is silky and soft and bouncy! The staff and the owner here is amazing. They treat you like family! I love this place!!!

This place is amazing. All nice and clean, plus you get $10 dIscount showing your student ID. Imogene was incredible. I liked that she focused on my positive attributes to do the haircut, like the texture of my hair and shape of my face. She was also very fun sharing stories! I absolutely recommend this place.
