I was pleased with the service that was rendered on 5-22-24. The environment in "Hair Formation" was friendly and pleasant. I love the fact that lavonia was very informative and understanding the wellness with her customers hair and scalp. I appreciate her passion for hair and also she's good at her craft.

I had the pleasure of Khalia styling my hair for the first time and she did an amazing job but more importantly the owners were brilliant as well. The sheer respect that they had for one another was truly special to see. They took the time to help one another and were such kind people. It was nostalgic for me and I felt like I was at my aunt's shop back in the 80's when things were simple and fun. I love my hair,it was so pretty that i was about to sleep with my head propped up on my hand like Regina King on Friday so i wouldn't mess up my hair sleeping, LOL... only thing was I did ask to leave longer at top to cover my eye so it's too short now but hopefully bangs will grow back longer quickly. I went in 51 but I left looking 41, lol, I look forward to returning and they have earned a new client. They truly have been blessed with hands from above. Don't hesitate to visit, it was a pleasure.

Aaron was kind enough to let me walk in about 45 minutes before they closed. I was the last person in the door and the last person to leave, but they treated me with the same kindness and patience as every other client. They were very knowledgeable about my hair and left feeling like a million bucks! Will definitely be back!

Khalia was so nice and professional. She did a good job with , my thick and curly hair. She didn't complain one time as she spent hours going through my hair to ensure I got the result wanted. That meant a lot because I have never had a Salon experience with my natural hair where people do not complain about the length or the thickness or treated as if it is a chore. She has a lifelong customer out of me and I am very appreciative for her extensive knowledge and communication throughout this process. LUCINDA B

Aaron Gipson I started coming to Aaron back in January 2022.After 4 months my hair looks the best it has since my original beautician moved away 3 years ago.I have been struggling to find the right person who cares about healthy hair and your time.I can't just say thanks to Aaron because his wife Lavonia is his right hand partner. She jumps in when he may get a little busy on another clients hair.They are truly a Real Tag Team.She did a marvelous job on my sew in and her hands are just as amazing as her husbands.Anyone looking for a new beautician this is the place. They specialize in natural healthy beautiful hair.I have seen for myself how they have transformed customers from relaxed permed hair to natural no chemical hair and the results looked the same.I myself is now in a transformation from perm to natural and love every step of it. Absolutely loved my cut! Aaron took his time to make it look perfect. It is not easy to find someone that can cut natural curly hair and I am beyond happy with my new cut. My curls are defined and bouncy.

I am so happy that I made the time to get my hair taken care of while in Jacksonville. From the moment I walked in to Hair Formations, I felt welcomed. LaVonia and Aaron are such wonderful, skilled and knowledgeable people. I would even go as far to say that they are THE BEST in the trade. Aaron shared his hair knowledge freely and I left their salon knowing so much more about how to care for and manage my 4C hair. I wish we had salons like Hair Formations in Ontario, Canada. I may just have to move to Jacksonville so my hair can thrive under the skilled hands of Aaron and LaVonia. I live miles away, but I will return the next time I’m in Jacksonville. My hair came out beautifly when I left the shop but when I got home, I noticed that my roots were blue on my naturally white hair. I emailed and called Aaron and he did not recipricate. It's been about a year now with no resolution.

3rd Visit & Last - My appointment was booked in advance with Aaron for Demi/Perm for 1:00 pm. I was greeted by LaVonia @ the door. I sat for 42 minutes. I made the choice to leave. I never spoke with Aaron. He never came over to say, “hey I am running behind, it should be another 30 minutes”. What infuriates me is that there is no respect for my time. Respect me enough to acknowledge me first, then if we can’t start within a reasonable time let me know when can we start. If this is done, I can make an informed choice if I want to sit or go. If he had told me that I would have walked away, differently. Let’s face it, if I had the service completed I would not receive a discount for my time that I spent waiting. I am paying for promptness, service, and respect - none did I receive.

LaVonia and Aaron are absolutely amazing! Best shop experience I've ever had. They treat you like family, they are very professional, and your hair is done with care and expertise. As long as I'm in Florida, Hair Formations is the only salon I'll go to.

Found this salon just chance. Went on there website. They had good reviews, but also I like the fact they had Covid precautions in place. Lavonia was very knowledgeable. She examined my hair first, reviewed with me her recommendation. Steam treatment was relaxing!! She was very personable and made me feel comfortable. I would recommend this place.

Wow! This place is truly wonderful. I went in for a relaxer and was welcomed with open arms as a newcomer. My hair was done by Aaron but LaVonia was very kind and attentive as well. The space is very clean and I am very grateful for the COVID precautions put in place. I will definitely be going back to Hair Formations for my hair needs in the future!

Lavonia and her husband are AMAZING! I was home on vacation and simply frustrated with my hair and wanted to cut it all of. I had never been to this salon before but once I got there Aaron showed me what I needed and not what I wanted. He gave me some haircare tips to bring back overseas with me. Unfortunately most stylist today only specialize in weaves or braids and cant help you take care of your hair! This duo are NOT like most stylist!! I took a blind step and I couldn't be happier!!! Hairformations has a new customer for life!!!

Mrs. Lavonia and Mr. Aaron are awesome! I love my new hair cut, went there for the first time and they worked together to get my hair right, mind you I was nervous because I stepped out of my element for the first time, but they were very patient with me. I am definitely impressed and will be returning.
