Updated Review: I scheduled an appointment a week after my hair was done to get my eyebrows done. Eye brows aren't done here. There was no set up for it. It was a chaotic appointment, where I was told to come back after I was called to return to get my eyebrows done but I never received a call back. I removed a star from my rating because of this. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today was our first time at this Salon. We literally looked for a black owned hair salon that serviced children. This was the first result so we called to make an appointment. We were able to get scheduled with hair stylist Tinee the same day. Tinee is the most warmest, bubbly and knowledgeable hairstylist that services children! Not to mention the salon looked so glamorous! It was like we were walking into a fairy tale and this is where princess and queens come to be transformed for the royal ball! They have tables in the front of the salon for eating or waiting. The owner truly out did herself with how she decorated, all the services she provided customers and the classes she teaches students at her hair academy. Every staff member in this business is very welcoming. We spent the whole day here due to other customers getting seen while we waited to get our hair finished! Our appointment were at 12:30 and 1:30 pm but we weren't finished until after closing close to 9:00 pm. Thank you so much for the beautiful style for my daughter( wash, deep condition, trim, blowout, braids with beads) and my hair ( wash, deep condition, trim, blowout, silk press, curls).

Great experience! The staff is very friendly and very professional, my hair stylist, Kathy, did my hair amazing! I’m extremely happy with my look and I’ll be back again. I highly recommend getting your hair done here.

First time and everyone was very friendly! I had my hair done (by the owner) with getting a Wave Nouveau! I used to do this myself years ago but can not hold my arms up to do the rodding! It’s been a week now and I’m trying different kinds of products (including Wave Nouveaus finishing lotion and Mist) to achieve the wave pattern that I’m suppose to get and my hair is still straight and just look like I just got a relaxer! Not Happy!😬 Update after owner responded: Hi there really was no need for me to call because I should have known something was not right by you saying: my hair would look good in finger waves! How are finger waves coming out of a supposedly “Wave Nouveau”! SMH 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

Fui a Kathy Gómez para hacerme un color con keratina esa chica es muy simpática y profesional me explicó todo el prosediminto ella me dejó mi pelo cómo nunca antes es una persona muy dulce tienes mucho preferencionalismo senota cómo habla las experiencias que ella tiene sobre lo que hace. I had a very good experience at Hair Motion Salon. Kathy was very kind, she told me everything about the keratin treatment. Usually when the hair stylist applies the keratin treatment on my hair, my scalp starts to burn and gets really itchy but not with the product Kathy applied on my hair. She washed my hair first, applied the keratin all over my hair then blowed my hair. It was super fast. If you’re looking for salon that does keratin treatments, this is the right one. Very affordable, and very good salon 👍

I had a wonderful experience at this salon with Monica. She was incredibly kind and patient with me. The haircut she gave me turned out spectacular. The atmosphere in the salon is very welcoming, and the entire staff is exceptionally friendly. I was a first time customer here a few weeks ago and got a keratin treatment by Kathy. She was great! I have long/thick curly hair and knew that since I would take more product, I would need to pay more than the base price of the service. Kathy sat me down before the appointment and worked out what the total would be and was very transparent. It was great going in knowing what I would pay, and the price was reasonable. The keratin treatment itself has held up great! I got it almost 3 weeks ago and Kathy did an amazing job. My hair still has curls, but the frizz was reduced a LOT. Now, it dries without becoming super poofy, and if I do straighten it, it takes about 1/3 of the time and can last for days. I will be returning to Kathy in a few months to get the same service!

I went to get hair dyed almost a month ago and the color is holding up very well still. Thanks to Kathy I’ve gotten many compliments on my hair as well as feeling like a brand new person. I've known Kathy for a number of years now both as a friend and my hair stylist. She has a pleasant personality & treats her clients well... very knowledgeable in what she does & leaves her clients very satisfied... I would recommend her to wholeheartedly to anyone who needs a good hairstylist.
