I don’t often write reviews, but NYC Hair Lounge deserves an incredible one. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was great, the staff were very friendly and professional, and the whole experience felt five stars, first-class. Alex, who leads NYC Hair Lounge, really took the time to understand what I wanted done and offered fantastic expert advice. The cut was spot on – my hair has never looked or felt better. This is your place, if you’re looking for a hair salon that actually cares about getting your hair right, with the experience to get it right – every time. Good price in Manhattan as well.

I cannot say enough good about this place. My hair has never looked or felt this good, and I have Leah to thank for it all. She is incredibly attentive and gives such a thorough consult before doing anything at all to ensure she gives you exactly what you want and what is best and healthiest to meet your hair goals. I came to her after removing tape in extensions and my hair was ruined - thinning and damaged and brittle. She listened to me and asked me so many questions before doing anything at all and I ended up getting an express keratin treatment and haircut - she only cuts off exactly as much as is needed to be healthy if your goals are to grow your hair. She has given me so much great information about care and how often to be doing treatments. She’s incredibly kind and knowledgeable and passionate about what she does, and I could not be more grateful to have found her.

Love this place! Very warm and inviting atmosphere, and they always do a great job on my hair. Pretty affordable too, compared to many other NYC salons. All the stylists are so nice. Yeniffer was sweet and did exactly what I explained I wanted done with my hair. Some of the other stylists were shooting instagram videos while my dye was setting. They asked me if I wanted to participate, and we had a lot of fun. Just great vibes all around. I’ll keep coming back!

The women who work here were so kind and considerate, I didn’t have an appointment which they were nice about and they took great care of me. I did a hair mask and blowout and now my hair feels super soft and shiny! ❤️ Thank you

I got extremely lucky finding this place on a whim today!!! I’m so happy I went with my gut and came here as opposed to the place I was originally going to go to - all I did was Google “best hair salon in FiDi” and the results did not lie! I called early in the morning to see if I could walk-in for a quick wash and cut and I was easily accommodated for 11am. The owners and staff were lovely and were very helpful when I couldn’t find the place. I spoke to Alex, another lady whom I believe is the owner, and my hair cut was done by Yennifer. Everything was perfect, the shampoo was relaxing, and the environment was stress-free! I had such a pleasant experience, I will absolutely be returning! Thank you guys 😍 p.s., the cost is reasonable, but adding on things will make it pricy so just make sure to ask before you agree to all services if you’re not prepared to spend too much BUT it’s totally worth it! I even walked out with a hair mask to try because my hair needs serious damage repair. I hope to be back soon for maintenance.

Due to another salon cancelling me at the time of my appointment I luckily found this salon and they saved the day! What a wonderful experience from the phone service to the actual service I can’t say enough good things! And the price, WOW! I booked a blowout and Nial (hope I spelled that right) was just beyond. The wash was so luxurious and the effort she made in the short amount of time it took to make my hair gorgeous was impressive. I get blowouts a few times a month and this is the best blowout I’ve ever had. I am visiting from Las Vegas and I can’t wait to come back! Thank you all so much!

I just left my first visit and can’t recommend this place enough. I felt like I was getting my hair cut by a close friend and everyone there is so kind and genuine. They truly care about you looking and feeling your best and I’m so happy with my hair- it looks and feels better than it has in years. I recently got a keratin treatment done with Leah, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! My hair is incredibly silky and smooth, and it saves me so much time when styling. I traveled all the way from Boston just to have Leah work her magic—she’s that good! My mom is also a loyal client and loves her too. I highly recommend Leah’s salon to anyone looking for exceptional service and beautiful results. Leah is truly the best!

I decided to find a new place to get a haircut after going to the same place for over 7 years, and I bumped into Alex who I met with in a nearby shoe repair store. It was a refreshing experience overall and Alex was patient and gave advice on my hairstyle. I'll be his returning customer without doubt. Please give this place a try since Alex is new to NYC, and let's support his small business.

Just moved to the neighborhood and was nervous about finding a new stylist, but I’m very glad I booked a haircut and blowout with Hair Lounge. The staff is extremely welcoming, and I absolutely loved the haircut Oksana gave me. She also advised me on what NOT to do, when I had unrealistic ambitions for my hair (lol). I was impressed with the blowout too, and went back to get another one the next week. Tammy did my blowout this time, and I’m very happy with how everything turned out. The people at the reception also give me the nicest compliments when doing routine billing tasks, which I find very endearing seeing how many places aren’t this friendly and are very business-like. Overall, I’m very happy I found my new hair salon and look forward to going back in a few months!

Leah, Alex and the entire team at hair lounge are the best hair specialists in Manhattan! Leah delivered exactly what I wanted—Alex delivered exactly what my husband wanted. I LOVE my highlights, and the soft healthy texture of my hair. They are friendly and warm and know what they’re doing. I highly recommend!!

I am visiting from San Francisco and I needed a nice trim. I happened to run into Alex’s place. The man is an artist in the art of hair styling; he took his time crafting my hair with finesse and style. He is also very personal and sociable. My wife loved my look and I must say that I had had many different hairstylist in San Francisco, but Alex raised the bar. In addition, I got an extra wax service in my hear, nose that make look and feel like a champ. Thank you Alex! I am looking forward to visit your shop again in my next visit. Best, Francisco

I’ve been coming to Hair Lounge since July 2022 and absolutely love it!! Leah has kept me the perfect shade of sandy blonde and I’m sooo grateful for her knowledge when it comes to my color! My hair has grown so much and even gotten healthier! 10/10 recommend!!

Best hair salon in NYC. I have tried many salons for keratin, and am so lucky to have come across hair lounge. My hair has never looked better! On top of that, the staff is super kind, attentive, and very honest about services and recommendation's. Leah the manager is the sweetest and does the best job. I would highly hair lounge recommend for keratin, cuts, and any other services!

First time visit. I came here for a haircut. My hair was very long and needed a cut and shape. After a thorough consultation, Jennyfer exceeded my expectations! We decided to cut 2 1/2 inches and frame my face. I was very nervous asking for face framing layers bc my hair is very fine. She understood me and made me feel very comfortable. Overall my experience here was great! I was greeted with warmth when I walked in & left smiling. Will definitely return.

I had my hair done my Leah. I hadn’t had it cut in 1.5 years because I like to grow it to a length that is acceptable to donate. In addition it has been over 15 years since I got it hightlighted and was wanting to do it again after all this time. She did an amazing job. No exaggeration. It was a 5 star experience. She really cares immensely about doing a perfect cut and look that is personalized to you. Her positive energy and philosophy on life comes through her work and artistry. It’s an amazing experience and am so grateful to have trusted a friend’s valued recommendaion.

I recently visited Hair Lounge in NY for a haircut, and I must say, it was an incredible experience! The stylist Leya really listened to what I wanted, and the result was the best haircut I’ve ever had. The attention to detail and professionalism were top-notch. I love my hair now! Shampoo and products which she used for hair high quality- my hair after looks amazing and like silk! I felt comfortable throughout the process, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Leya gave me a lot of reasonable advices about my hair and how should I take care about it (like which products are better and why, even how to dry my hair in right way!)! If you’re looking for the best hair salon in NYC that provides exceptional haircuts, I highly recommend Hair Lounge! I walked out feeling confident and received so many compliments on my new look. I will definitely be returning for my next haircut!

This was by far the best haircut/style I have ever gotten. All of the employees were lovely. Leah did my services and I left the salon feeling the most confident I have felt in a very long time. Not only is she an incredible stylist, she has a beautiful, kind soul and she made me feel like a million bucks. I will 100% be coming back!
