They say "old age aint for sissies." I can agree, especially from the perspective of letting my hair transition to gray. The process is lengthy and unsightly, especially as I equate it with getting older. Maree Chavez, owner/stylist of Hair People, provides a consulting service for people like me. Lucky to find "silver seeking" on the Internet, I booked an hour of her time. She is enthusiastic, kind and brimming with practical as well as creative suggestions for letting my hair embrace it's new natural look. With her encouragement, I felt like I was embracing right where I am. I felt very comfortable and positive. And, the salon has a homey vibe too. I highly recommend this service!

I have been getting my hair cut and colored by Hair People for over a decade, which lets you know how much I think of the stylists and the management. Cynthia is my usual (very talented) stylist, but her colleagues have filled in for her when circumstances required, and I've never been disappointed. I am frequently complimented on my hair color and cut by total strangers, no small feat when you're at the age where women are routinely ignored. Cynthia listened to me from the beginning, and didn't try to fit me in the box for "women my age." Maree, the owner, is always eager to meet client needs, from providing Covid precautions to juggling schedules for emergencies. The stylists routinely engage in classes to update their techniques. It's a very professional and modern shop with a family feel, and I can't praise it highly enough.

Hair People is simply the best! They do such a great job at covering my grays in a natural way. Because I have curly hair, I only trust people who are specifically trained in curly hair. It makes such a difference! I usually work with Julia but Daressa fit me in last minute, which was incredibly helpful to have my hair done right before getting headshots done. No matter who you work with, each stylist is warm, knowledgeable, professional, and so talented. We also take my curly haired 5 year old to see Jana. I wish I would have had a curly hair specialist cut my hair as a kid!! My daughter’s hair always looks amazing after.

I absolutely love Windermere at Hair People! I’ve been coming to see her for my curly cuts for four years now, and my mom and girlfriends with curly hair see her now too. She’s wonderful to connect with, gives a great head massage during your shampoo, and my hair always turns out beautifully.

I called several different salons in search of the perfect stylist for my particular hair style, a Bob, since past stylists couldn't seem to get my cut right. Shellie, known at Hair People as the "Bob Queen", was recommended to me. I gave her a try, and since - I have been very satisfied - and I've gotten my hair cut and colored by the "Bob Queen" for several years now. I always leave the salon pleased! I even receive compliments about my haircut from strangers on a regular basis. Highly recommend Shellie at Hair People!

I love this place! I've been going to Shellie for about 7 years now and she's the best hair stylist I've ever had. She will always listen to you and the results are phenomenal. The whole salon is great too, everyone is friendly, salon is very clean, and they always have refreshments out.

Shellie is fantastic. I have been getting my haircut with her for over 5 years. She is a fantastic human and I have never walked out disappointed with my haircut. Incredibly flexible and responsive to my challenging schedule needs at times! All the other stylists are very friendly and, overall, a fantastic salon. Shellie is my go to!! I first came to her after a disastrous bleach job at another salon, to which Shellie spent hours color correcting and restoring my hair. Fast forward a couple of years, she's my gal! I absolutely love her attention to detail and care for healthy hair! She's amazing, her work is amazing. I saw Daressa and she is wonderful. She listened very carefully to what I wanted, and she checked in with me to make sure that my hair was the length that I was asking for. She gave me exactly what I wanted and I’m so happy with my cut, I will definitely go back to see her again. The salon is really adorable with cool chandeliers, antique furniture for the stations, and really nice natural light. I was able to get in pretty quickly. I definitely recommend this salon.
