Stopped in to ask a quick question about price and the stylist's experience with my type of hair. Was left sitting there for 30 minutes without any attention while the stylist, the assistant and a client chatted. Seems like a nice place - but ignoring a simple question for such a long time is not reasonable. A better solution would have been "come back in an hour when she's done with this client" or "can I ask her to give you a call" or something other than 'sit and wait indefinitely'

I have only ever had great experiences at Hair Queen. I’ve been seeing Janaan since 2019 and every time she blows me away – whether it’s for a chic cut or fun color, I’m never disappointed (Please see every haircut and style I’ve ever received). Great prices and great vibes. My hair always comes out looking fresh and healthy (and smelling delicious - thanks Amika)!

I’ve been following one of the stylist for over 20 years. Alecia is one of the best stylist/colorist in the industry. I highly recommend any of the hairstylist at Hair Queen. It’s very comfortable and guaranteed 5 star service that will bring you back for more!

Alicia is absolutely fabulous! I came in 3.5 years ago with a horrible haircut and in desperate need for a fix that didn’t require even more hair cut off. I’ve been coming back ever since. Can’t recommend Hair Queen enough

I adore this creative , fun , warm salon. I found myself there because I have followed stylist Jannan Simon for the last 14 years. Her cuts are creative yet super precise . My layers hold their shape for about 4 to 5 months. I live in Nashville but plan a trip to NYC just to have her cut my hair. She listens to what your looking for and delivers ! Oh and she gives an incredible scalp massage when she shampoos your hair. She’s amazing !! You’ll LUV HER!!

I’ve been a Hair Queen regular for about 6 months now. From the adorable decor, to the rockstar stylists, this salon is just the best. I went from an embarrassing box dye job, to a beautiful blonde thanks to my AMAZING stylist Janaan. I highly recommend, so go check it out!!

Janaan’s been cutting my hair for over a decade- there’s truly no one who can cut my hair like her!! Even if I wait way too long between haircuts, it continues to look great and I always get tons of compliments. She was away on the west coast for a few years, and I would wait for her to visit to get my haircut. Now that she’s back, I’m so happy I can get a refresher whenever I want. She’s simply the best. Plus, the salon is adorable and in such a fun neighborhood, too. Alicia, the owner, is super sweet and they always have delicious treats and fab products. I highly recommend!

Love this little baby pink and black gem - refreshing change from the super slick Salon’s which seem to be taking over Manhattan. I starting going to this salon when my hair stylist and colorist Janaan, returned to NY after a stint in LA. Janaan is the best stylist and colorist - went to her for years and was disappointed when she relocated to LA, but was relieved upon her return to NYC. During her absence I had let my hair go gray as I couldn’t find a colorist to get it right and I decided to see how the gray looked and add low lights to my hair to give the gray more depth but gave up after several colorists gave me low lights which kept going red. When Janaan returned to NY and began working @ HQ, she was able to correct the low lights to the darker cool tones - my hair looks amazing with natural darker strands mixed w a silvery gray. Love it!! Get compliments all the time. Thanks Janaan!!

Alicia is a great colorist and stylist.I love that I'm in and out instead of spending three hours on highlights because she doesn't use foils and because of this the highlights look very natural and grow out well!!

Only good if you know exactly what you want and it's a style from 10 years ago. Went to this shop for balyage highlights. Specified I wanted colour tone to go with my skin tone and not look too streaky / like a tiger. Veronica overapplied, creating a streaky, over-processed look. Needed to tone about 3 times to get to a colour I could walk out with. My hope is that the colour will lift over the next few weeks and I can correct at a better salon with some low-lights.
