All The Hair Stylists at Hair Reborn are very friendly, welcoming and Talented. Phoenix is my hair stylists also the owner of Hair Reborn. i'll add she has magic hands i love my hair. People say picture is proof.. And i have the picture proof. I'm so happy , its nothing but freedom now for me i get up and just go .... That means everything to me . I wish i would have locked sooner, years ago. If anyone on here is looking for a loc stylists, Hair Reborn is the salon to go to 100% (ilovemylocticion) Thank you Phoenix for your hard work.

I chose Phoenix to do my microlocs because of her Instagram page. But this is what I got. I do NOT recommend going to her for installing your hair. You will be asked to chose a size. Pay for it, but get something totally off. I had my hair installed yesterday and I called her today for me to come by and have her redo the hair that was larger than the agreed size. Instead of acknowledging what was done, she argued with me that the hair were all the same size and that the larger ones were just due to me having more hair in those areas. This is coming from someone that is supposed to be an expert in what she does. If I can see the difference with my bare eyes, and you are supposedly using a measuring device, then there is a fundamental problem. If you already have your hair done, and want it retightened it will probably be fine.

** PLEASE READ ** I'll start by saying that life has a funny way of working out for the better, all the time 😁 My loc journey has been a rough road, as I have dealt with many scammers and people just playing in your head without any real care for you or your hair, especially in the SoCal area. I have spent thousands of dollars on locs and in desperation started traveling to different parts of the country in hopes of finding a loctician who truly knows their craft. Sadly, it was all the same format. Great IG pages and booking pages with beautiful images but the work and quality were just not there, at all. This really led me to a dark place of depression so much so that I was about to give up and just cut my locs completely off. I had completely given up on finding a loctician to correct my hair in the SoCal area and started looking at places in Phoenix, AZ as a last-ditch effort. This is where life gets funny and good....my search led me to HairReborn by "Phoenix" which is (ironically) located in SoCal so at first, I was like "hell no" until I stalked her IG page and noticed a few things that stood out to me: - ALL of her images are watermarked and trademarked - she has TONS of videos of HER actually doing the work - she is super knowledgeable of ALL loc styles, sizing, parting - she actually invented the micro-loc parting tool - her grids are the BEST I have ever seen So, at this point- I was curious and decided to reach out through IG (not really expecting her to respond). Not only did she respond, but she also answered EVERY single question that I had. I mean....every.single.question. If I called, she would answer or call back within 5 minutes and I never felt rushed or anything. Not to mention, she seemed to really care about my situation and also kept it very real with me, which I appreciated greatly. At no point did she try to price gouge me or anything of that nature and her work exceeded ALL of my expectations. The name really stands true. My hair does feel Reborn By Phoenix and I am starting to feel like "myself" again. All jokes aside, she really did save me and there are no words to describe how grateful I am. Not to mention, she is cool asf. Like, legit good peoples. No one besides her will EVER touch my hair again. Take a look at this grid y'all. LOOK.AT.THIS.GRID

I have never been to such an unprofessional salon ever. I have never had a grown adult take an instagram message so personally. I was messaging between the manager, Phoenix in DMS before my appointment. I asked how long she thought my appointment would take, which she firmly responded with, "I do not know how long it’s gonna take you’ve never gotten your hair done here before." and followed up with, "I would come in on a day that you have time to spare so you’re not in a rush to leave." I explained, "I was just asking for a guess I'm aware I'm a first time client... I have a ride & coming hours away so I wanted to let them know when I could be picked up is all, no rush." Apparently the tone in my message was taken completely wrong, I was just explaining my circumstances so I'm not just being an annoying customer. I understand a lot of clients are strict on time so I was trying to explain that wasn't my case. I've never had an issue with asking a loctician or ANY hair professional how much time my hair would take, it's just an estimated guess and I didn't expect it to be 100% or even 50% accurate, I just wanted to let my ride know how much time they had. She told me I could ask my loctician for more details on time and that was the end of it, or so I thought. When I came in, I could tell that Phoenix was already upset with me. I could also tell that she filled in her workers how she felt about me as well. When I came in, nobody greeted me or acknowledged me. Phoenix finally looked up to acknowledge me, didn't say hello, just yelled across the room "Sit over there!" And pointed at the seats. I actually didn't think much of this until someone FIVE minutes after me walks in, Phoenix welcomes them with hellos, asking them about their day, and thanking them for their time. She proceeds to do that for every client, even doordashers after me. I was even made aware of how negatively I was spoken about when nobody spoke to me but was referred to by everyone as the 'pickup/ride appointment' not once by my name. When I sat in the chair, my loctican doesn't speak to me or ask me a SINGLE question the WHOLE entire appointment. Didn't ask me what my hair looked like before, what I wanted, a picture, NOTHING! SHE DIDN'T EVEN WET MY HAIR. I have fine, thin hair so she was just indiscriminately ripping and prying it apart, which is prone to falling out and anybody in hair should know that. Before she starts I ask, "Have you done a diamond parting before?" And she told me no. I immediately felt set up, I had even clarified with Phoenix before the disagreement that I had a diamond parting and I was only comfortable with a locitican that did diamond parting. She had lied. I really thought that no way a five star salon with all these instagram follows would do all of this, but I was so wrong. When my extremely dry and brittle retwist finished, still nothing was said to me. I said thank you and left and realized there was still so much mess on my head! There were locs left unfixed and one completely thin in the middle, she just retwisted over it and didn't even say anything. I messaged the loctician and the owner which both stopped responding and came back to the salon. I came back, Phoenix pretends to ignore me again before finally acknowledging me and boredly asking, "Do you need something?" I begin to start explaining when she walks past me, still ignoring me and she greets my partner who came in with me this time, with a smile and asking what THEY needed. I tell her that my partner is with me and I point out the locs that need fixing. She's too bored to look either, she makes me go stand in the mirror and point out the ones I want fixed. Allegedly not her responsibility to look at her client's work. The one that is thin in the middle, she pressures me continously to cut it off and cuts it off and throws it away immediately. I wasn't even given the option to keep my first dreadlocks, which many people do and which I know she is aware of. She doesn't apologize not even ONCE like any professional would... If I could give more than 5 stars I would. There's this pyramid people talk about - good, fast, affordable. The saying is that a decent business can have one out of the three. A good business can have two. Well phoenix is the rare perfect perfect pyramid. I'm grateful I was introduced to phoenix. She is FANTASTIC at what she does!!!

I have been a client since July 2023 but my initial contact actually began and the December of 2022 I was in search of a Loctician who specialized in extensions and was already planning to travel out of state until I found the Hair reborn Instagram page and immediately knew that this is where I needed to go. I reached out via message and asked quite a few questions, and all my questions were answered in a timely and professional mannerservices offered and what I would need to do. We're very clear. I then booked my consultation in January 2023 just prior to my consultation, I lost a family member and reached out to cancel my consultation Instead of Phoenix was very understanding I still ended up going. I even cried during my consultation. Phoenix assured me that everything would be OK. I went to book my install date for March(my date was not secure as I had not paid my deposit and I knew there was a chance it would not be available) but I ending up pushing it out to July to give myself just some time. Again, Phoenix was very accommodating and understanding. I did come back in to the salon in June for another consultation as to make sure my hair was still in the same condition and compatible with the install that I chose for July In case we needed to change anything. On my appointment day, I arrived as they said, and install was a breeze. The environment of the salon was very pleasing. Everyone was friendly talking to one another and engaging in healthy conversation. I was very comfortable and I enjoyed the fact it was a one stop shop. There was even someone to do Nails. I have referred family and friends here and will forever be a client here. I have reached out to Phoenix with all types of loc related questions and she answers without hesitation and always welcome me to the shop. If I turn into one of those you gotta see it in person clients. The service here is superb from cleanliness to customer service to professionalism, and then to add its such a vibe with the fishing turtle tanks and the Pac-Man arcade game her goal is to definitely make sure her clients at home from day one.

Her certification and expertise really shine through every time I visit. I never leave bad reviews but I had to. I'm disappointed in how much I had to pay for a retie. I have never spent this much for it. My usual sisterlock loctition would do my hair in under 3 hours and I come to her every 2 months(only pay her $300). I had to pay $420(for 7 hours)(i was quoted $225 for 4 hours and $65 per hour past time but I never thought that it would go back 5 hours at least)I can understand charging that amount if I had like 4 months(I only had 2 months of new growth)of new growth but this, this is wrong and greedy. Even one time I had a sisterlock trainee who took this long to do my hair and all I had to pay was $150(bc trainees are not supposed to charge high cost). I don't know whether the girl who did my hair was a trainee who recently just started or was experienced bc she was so slow my goodness . I got at my hair appt at 8am and she didn't finish till 3pm. I'm never coming back here. I literally could have just gone to another sisterlock loctition who could have done it in 2-3 hours that was asking me for $330 even though I thought that was too expensive. Save your money and go somewhere else.

This was my first time here. I flew in from Utah to get my Locs retie. Sydney did my hair. I have a lot of hair and the Locs are tiny but she was patient and got it done. It looks great and I’ll be back

After my third time at this salon it's time for a review. After spending many hours here I am so glad I chose this salon. I am in love with this business! My partner had his locs retwisted and I had my locs installed. Both by Sunny. She was so wonderful! She has such a soft touch there was almost no discomfort in my 8 hr install! There are so many wonderful lil touches that absolutely upgrade the experience. My hair looks so much better than I expected and I left the salon feeling great both on the outside and the inside. Wonderful energy! Phoenix has done a wonderful job and I'm so thankful for this business!

For two years I had been researching locticians. In November of 2022, I had my 15th consultation, but my first with Phoenix. She answered every question I had and made me feel comfortable. I set my appointment for a month later. I was given instructions on what to expect, and what I needed to do to prepare for the appointment. I am so happy with my hair. I had extensions added to my hair and color, because there is a little vanity that exists in me ☺️. The extensions are not heavy, there has been no slippage, and the purple looks great. I am glad that I picked Haor Reborn to begin my journey. You will love her shop: It is comfortable and she seems to style it often, because she is constantly adding things for her clients benefit. Thank you Tee, my new Loctician, you restored my faith in my loc journey. You were kind and considerate about not causing me any pain during my retie because my new growth was a matted mess (15 weeks since my last retie appt. Phoenix the shop owner has a very clean spacious, modern, stylist salon. Tee my Loctician made me feel welcomed and at ease with her knowledge of my specific hair and scalp needs. Also, this was the 1st time I was really happy with the results of my loc retie. Before I found “Hair Reborn By Phoenix” with its experienced professional and certified Locticians, I was ready to cut my locs completely off (about 12-14 inches hair length), after only 7 months on my loc journey. At the start of my initial loc journey this past March, 2023, I experienced months of anxiety during my appts with my previous Loctician, her shop was tiny the size of a small closet, it was always unkept and not in the best location in Inglewood. Not to mention she always seemed to have a mad attitude and my scalp was always sore with my hair feeling dry and brittle. At the end I decided to severe this toxic relationship. The anxiety and trauma every-time I had to go in to get a retouch and deal with my previous Loctician was just not worth it to me. Her method was basically one stop shop with one type of loc hair treatment for everyone, regardless of their hair type needs or scalp conditions.

Three words: MONEY. WELL. SPENT I got microlocs installed a couple of days ago by Phoenix and the level of detail is immaculate. I had locs installed a few times in the past and none of the lines were ever this clean. The consultation was very straightforward and she was very fast! She dyed my hair and installed my microlocs within 1 day! She is professional and extremely good at her job!

Great Experience and Atmosphere I had microlocs installed by Nitta on January 25-26, 2023. Once I made the decision to do this, I went full steam ahead, so I was a little worried about whether I'd regret it afterward... NOPE! I love my hair and am so glad I did this! As soon as Nitta showed me the first section of locs, I knew everything would be OK. Her work is beautiful and efficient. If anything, Nitta is too modest about what she can do. I am looking forward to the evolution of my new hairstyle.

I thought about getting locs for many years, but I wasn't ready. Once I was ready, I researched different type of locs and finally decided to get microlocs! My locs installed by Ms. Phoenix, she and her staff are top tier. I felt so comfortable throughout the entire process. Phoenix answered ALL my questions and discussed everything with me in detail. I’d been following HRBP for a year when I finally snagged an opportunity to book. I’m so excited. Not only is her work impeccable her customer service is just as good. She is extending a service where her trainees are doing installs under her guise. I love it! It’s a bit easier on the coin purse too so I was able to get in much sooner than expected with this offer.
