I honestly can't even begin to describe how amazing my experience was with Topher. I went to him after reading his amazing google reviews and he lived up to those expectations and more. I had gone to a different hair salon for my first hair coloring and was disappointed in the results. I think there might've been miscommuncation but I wanted subtle and ended up with something well done but too drastic. As soon as I met with Topher and told him my situation he understood my situation but asked clarifying questions to really get to what I wanted my hair to look like. He also went out of his way to try to squeeze me in before the labor day holiday knowing how badly I wanted my hair color changed - opening up an early 8am to fit me in. The day of he confirmed again with me that we were aligned on what I wanted. The experience was great and I will definitely be coming back !

I came in to Pennsylvania from NYC a year ago for a wedding; and was searching for the right stylist. Lindsay turned my vision to reality and made my very hard to handle hair last beautifully all night; and I felt like a Queen. Lindsay is tried and true; and I would rate 1000 stars. Next time I’m in town, I will definitely be back in her studio.

I have been getting my hair cut by Lindsay for over 3 years, and I would recommend her to anyone. I have thick, tangly hair and was told for most of my life it just had to be that way. Lindsay has helped me find the perfect hair cut for my hair type and my life style. She is understanding, open to new ideas, and a lot of fun, to top it all off. Her talent and personality are top notch!

I have been going to Lindsay for several years now, and she’s the best hair stylist i’ve ever had. She’s extremely skilled and knowledgable of her craft, always takes the time to explain her process, and is honest about maintenance, results and expectations. I think she truly does care about the health and appearance of my hair. She gives great advice, and I love the little tips and tricks I’ve learned from her over the years. Her coloring skills are amazing. I have also been getting lash lifts for the past year, and my eyelashes have never looked better! And still seem perfectly healthy too. All that, and she’s also just a pleasure to visit with every time.

I have been going to Lindsay to get my hair cut & colored since 2020. Lindsay does an excellent job with whatever I throw at her or whatever she recommends for me. From vivid color to just a root touch up & a cut, I (and my hair) always leave her chair happy as a clam 💕

I've had a bit of trouble finding a stylist who will work on a wig. Ever since I first went to Lindsay, she does all my cutting & styling. She's also amazing at coloring (and I wasn't getting anything vivid). She's very attentive to my haircut goals, and is super kind and friendly. ❤️

If what you want is to walk out of a salon feeling like you just spent time with your best friend and with a beautifully crafted head of hair, Topher is your guy. He’s been doing my hair for 20+ years and I can’t imagine having any other experience. To top it off, Topher is transparent with his pricing, you know what you’re going to pay walking into his space, and did I mention NO TIPPING? That’s right, if you need an additional treatment, or a little extra time is needed, have no fear, he’ll make sure you’re happy before you leave and you won’t pay a cent extra.

Lindsay is a brilliant stylist! I have been going to her for a few years now. She’s excellent at listening to and executing what I ask for, and even when I’m a bit uncertain of what cut or color to get, she’s highly skilled at recommending what will work for my hair type. And she’s always right! Every time, I leave her chair looking and feeling fabulous. I have the utmost trust in her work, plus she is a lovely person and fun to chat with. Lindsay is amazing! She understood the assignment without me having to over explain myself. Her work is impeccable. What I liked about her is that she gives the right advice and paints a realistic picture of what your hair will look like when you show her a look you are trying to replicate. Definitely the best stylist I’ve come across!

Lindsay is the only person I trust with my curly hair. My curls always look their best after my curly cuts. I have such a hard time knowing how to style my hair and I appreciate that she takes the time to show me ways to dry it and style it. My most recent haircut is my favorite to date; I described what I was looking for as best as I could and she delivered. She’s also a PRO with color.

My husband and I are in a transition process as we begin our eventual move to Pittsburgh, which means establishing an entire new network of health, wellness and beauty service providers. The task of locating trusted, skilled and competent individuals who truly listen to my needs and desires is quite daunting and not at all exciting. With that being said, I have a unique opportunity to thoroughly research prospective individuals and identify candidates who speak to me in order to slowly and intentionally re-build my network. I have time on my side, so my plan is to do this the right way the first time! After hours of searching for stylists who are not only incredibly talented, they must be personable, geographically convenient and be open to new clients, I came across Topher Ryan of Hair Society. I knew the moment I submitted an online consultation appointment, to which I received a timely response, that I would soon be partnered with a remarkable stylist. Prior to my initial consultation appointment, Topher sent an introductory text and asked proactive pertinent questions to assist with the appointment, in addition to current pictures and inspiration pictures. He was incredibly detailed and this initial text made me feel heard and not just a number. Not to mention, the information gathering upfront assisted with the efficiency of my first appointment. "Hair Day" was here, finally, and I was one excited individual! I was immediately put at ease and the person I had been conversing with virtually was the same warm and caring person in the flesh. Topher greeted me with a smile, offered me a refreshment, sat down with me and actually listened to my concerns, vision and hair history. With all the information Topher needed, he set to work! He effortlessly crafted a design I did not realize was possible with my hair (thick, coarse, curly, dry, colored), with the end result being a head of luxuriously soft and shiny hair that has transformed me in ways I never knew possible: ease of daily routine, elimination of products at home, self-confidence, relevant and current, and most of all, age and complexion appropriate. I had been in a rut, at my own doing, and Topher gently brought me out of my shell in a soft and subtle way. As a regular client, I now see Topher weekly for a wash/blowout in addition to strategically timed appointments for root touch-up and my cherished Brazilian Blowout. I had visited another stylist for one appointment to receive a Brazilian Blowout and it lasted 6-weeks, at best, and I was underwhelmed, frustrated and discouraged. I am grateful to Topher for explaining the entire Brazilian Blowout process and expected longevity as I now know that when the treatment is processed correctly, the treatment will last up to 3-months. You can expect an honest and accurate service with Topher. To summarize how I feel about Topher: warm, loving, kind, genuine, sincere, professional, talented, funny, creative, detail-oriented, gifted, progressive and authentic. I am counting down the days to when we will be permanent residents of Pittsburgh and Topher will officially be "my guy!"

Topher is fabulous - affable, attentive, and will guide you on options, which in my case was really needed. Recommended to some of my friends as well. The salon is also really nicely decorated, and clean. Offered me a bev and started the appointment by listening to my thoughts. Overall, great experience and I’ll be back. Thanks Topher ◡̈

Based on recommendations of several friends, I booked an appointment with Topher and I'M SO GLAD I DID!! Patient with my explanation of what I wanted, he was so positive and reassuring as he cut my hair. The results were amazing; I now have a whole new look. He told me what products I should try but was the opposite of pushy about it. If you're hesitant about making an appointment, just do it!

First off this whole experience was just phenomenal! Topher reached out a week before my appointment to lay some ground work. He asked important questions, and came up with plan for my hair for now plus where I want my hair in the next 6 months. The setting was a total vibe! He’s very friendly and very knowledgeable. He explained everything he was doing and the steps I could take for aftercare. The pictures are before and after. It’s now this beautiful dusty, ashy, lavender blonde and I’m obsessed!! It feels 10x healthier!! Let me tell you, I feel like a completely new person! 10 out of 10 recommended for anyone wanting to go any shade of blonde, creative color, or just a standard simple look. Topher is your Guardian angel🪽

I have been getting my blonde hair from Topher for over 7 years and it is always the perfect shade! I have never had a relationship with a colorist for this long and it is so wonderful to have someone who knows exactly what you want without really having to ask. Topher was recommended by a friend and we are so glad we discovered this! Topher did my daughter’s hair for her first prom! He was very attentive and listened to her and created the absolute perfect look! She was thrilled! Everyone complimented her and it was so perfect for her special night! Not only that but the atmosphere and salon are really comfortable, private and relaxing! We love this place and highly recommend!!

I cannot recommend Topher enough. He’s the first person that ever gave me the exact blonde hair I wanted! He’s unbelievably considerate and understanding, his technique is flawless and he’s fun to be around to boot. I have super fine curly hair that is tricky to master and he is the curl whisperer. Trust him with your hair, you won’t regret it.

I went today for a simple hair cut and honestly Topher did an amazing job with my hair, more than I expected. He did a nutrition and put a product for my frizz. Topher is amazing!!! Let me start by saying that my hair is extremely curly frizzy and coarse. I almost never can get my hair done to my satisfaction. Topher is now my new hair dresser for life! Even if I move, I will be flying in to have him do it still. His color and cuts are very well done. I can’t say enough. I always leave the salon very happy. I also had him do the Brazil treatment and it was the first time(had it done twice before) that it actually worked and my hair is so smooth- no frizz. I seriously couldn’t believe it. I am a real person and happy to provide a reference. My daughter also goes to him and she chose to dye red and she absolutely loves it and gets compliments almost every single day-. I posted a pic when we were just in his salon from the back. Also, not only do you get excellent service, Topher is so personable and funny. He also has wonderful recommendations which have truly helped me.
