Absolutely fantastic experience and service from Thoma and Donna at Hair Studio by Mercedes. My first visit today and won't be my last when I am in Florida. Donna is a highly skilled stylist who created a new look for me--I love my cut and color! Thoma, the general manager, walked to me my car to protect my hair during an unexpected downpour, what a gentleman. He also went the extra mile to obtain the right (and somewhat rare) Schwarzkopf color I typically get at home. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed going to this salon until today when I received my second horrendous hair cut. I let the first bad cut slide, but can’t shake the second after I was name called by the manager. He told me to refer to myself as the “long hair particular girl” the next time I call; to me that sounds like you’re implying you have to ask your stylist for an even cut or else you’ll get a chop job. I mean, for $51 wouldn’t you expect an even trim? At this point you would think I wanted some elaborate cut that I had to be “particular” about, but nope! I asked for a simple straight across cut, which could not be produced. He would not grant me a refund after arguing with me in person, my hair is shorter than what I asked for and still not even after she fixed my hair. Their go to saying is “your hair will grow back”, but it’s the principle of the whole situation. No disrespect towards the stylist, but dealing with the disgusting behavior from the manager was uncalled for.

I’m not a regular due to the fact that I live in Toronto and spend some time down here during the winter months. I was recommended to this hair salon by a fellow Canadian. I’m thrilled with the colour that klodia did for me. I went back to have a keratin treatment done and was so happy with the results. The staff were so friendly and engaging, and the products they use are really good. I was reading the reviews before I posted. Funny enough I was there when Amber came in. I find it interesting that her story is very one sided and there are half truths through out. I heard her conversation and she was actually in for a third time. She had been reimbursed already for the first two complaints, Thomas stuck to his guns and did not offer a refund this time. I was appalled at the way she spoke to Thomas. I would not take her review too seriously.

What a wonderful place for a hair appointment! Thomas always greets you pleasantly and is so accommodating and helpful. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is professional and friendly. Claudia and Donna give the best haircuts and I highly recommend them and this salon for your next hair appointment!

Amazing & Professional… so kind & accommodating! Mercedes & her “girls” are such fine hairdressers and Tom-the manager is a true Gentleman. They are so busy, but always, eager to accept anyone in need, as soon as possible… with a big smile. I am so pleased with their work… and I must say that Mercedes, constantly, exceeds my expectations. I am there every month… for years, and my hair is always perfect. I called last minute but was lucky they took me in anyway...the gentleman Mr.Tom" who was answering the phone, who set my appointment was awesome, friendly kind and so accommodating to my situation, and Mr.Tom thank you for your kindness the card I received from you was encouraging and just what I needed that evening... what a wonderful thoughtful man..the young woman who did my hair was " Yaicha" she did exactly what I asked for..a trim..I didn't want length taken off I just needed less than half a inch off to straighten it back to shape.. she did just that.. and with a wash before trimming and blow-dry afterwards I was ready for my trip ( a 22 hour drive ).. she was friendly and engaging and though it was late evening she still did this for me though she had to immediately head home from my hair trim, I hope she realizes I appreciated her time, and "ladies * or" gents'' don't forget to tip your hairdresser, I left mine for my hairdresser with Mr Tom since I didn't have a chance to give to Yaicha myself, but thank you Yaicha, I appreciate your help, efficiency and time you gave me... This is definitely a great place to go, also heads up I got lucky to get in last minute..but especially with the season changing call a week or even 2weeks early to get your hair done, for they will be even more busy than they are now..the place is easy to get to with plenty of parking space..the price isn't small but they always say you pay for what you get.. my hair wash, a hair-trim and then blowdry afterwards was $85.. so I couldn't say how much other things may cost to be done..but if a hair trim was that price... you can figure it out..but I say again, what made it worth it ..*was getting my hair done my way, not mangled, chopped up or more length than I wanted taken off.. it was worth the treat to myself..and made me feel good..I know I won't be able to go in as often as I may need because I'm on a tight budget as I am in and out of Drs. daily due to deteriorating health but when I'm able I will be back to treat myself...I would recommend that you ask prices so you have no surprise's as I did which was my fault for not asking when I called..so, before you go in and if you are new to Mercedes (as I was ) just don't forget when you call to ask general or an idea of cost/prices.. then you'll have no surprises.. otherwise great place,friendly people working here and I'd definitely recommend checking them out..

Lindsay is absolutely wonderful. I have curly hair, and she knew exactly what to do. I recommended her to a friend, and she was happy too. I am heading back to Canada soon, but I will definitely be seeing Lindsay again in November. Have a great summer!

Yadira did an amazing cut and color yesterday! She listens, cuts my hair like I ask and her color was perfect! This is a great salon and while all the stylists are probably great - I have been to Yadira 3 times now, and have been happy every time. Big shout out to Hair Studio by Mercedes!
