I can’t say enough wonderful things about this beautiful salon! Lani is the owner and head stylist and she absolutely transformed my hair. The best curly cut of my life and I can’t imagine going anywhere else now! She’s always down for doing new things and has great ideas when I can’t exactly communicate what I want. Also her sweet dog comes to the shop 10/10

I recently had the pleasure of getting a curly hair cut from Lani and I can confidently say that it was the best haircut experience I've ever had! As someone who has been fearful of getting a haircut for years after a terrible experience, I was hesitant to try again. However, Lani put me at ease right away with her warm and welcoming demeanor. She took the time to walk me through each step of the process, asking me questions about my hair and what I was looking for. She truly listened to my concerns and made sure that we were on the same page before starting the cut. Her attention to detail and expertise in working with curly hair was immediately evident. Throughout the appointment, Lani provided me with great tips and advice on how to style my curls and maintain the health of my hair. She truly is a hair whisperer! I left the salon feeling confident and happy with my new cut and have received so many compliments on it since. Good haircut and friendly staff, if you are not in a hurry. Appointment was scheduled for 12:30, they couldn’t see me until 12:50. The basic haircut took over an hour.

Hair Therapy is such a welcoming salon, filled with kind and passionate humans. Tiggz made me feel safe and heard. I was a little anxious going into my appointment due to my own insecurities, but those anxieties went right out the window as soon as Tiggz introduced herself. Tiggz sat down with me and we had a conversation about my hair journey. Once we decided the direction to go in, she told me everything she was doing and how she was doing it, teaching me the step by step process of how to take care of my hair. I walked out of the salon looking and feeling hella cool. Tiggz is kind, passionate, and talented! Highly recommend!

I fell in love with Hair Therapy Salon going on 5 years now and I will never stop! Lani is the best and to say “therapy” is no lie! Warm, welcoming, clean atmosphere, attentive and knowledgeable of ALL hair types and got my dark black hair to blonde! The ONLY stylist to get me here with delicate delivery and not killing my hair! Lila is AMAZING!!🌹 First hairstylist I've visited who was actually able to help me solve some major problems that were causing my curly bleached hair to be very dry and unable to hold much product! I've been to a couple other salons and they both told me my hair was basically fine as they lightened it very bright and quickly, but I knew to try one more place before accepting that as the truth and I'm SO glad I did. Lila also worked with me to lighten my extremely dark brown grow-out with super cute blonde highlights at a slow pace in order to reduce damage to a minimum, because that is what I was hoping for! And my hair has NEVER looked AND felt this good!🤩🥳💇🏼‍♀️ Also I am an indigenous queer and I really appreciated the effort Lila put in to make me feel welcomed, heard, and absolutely fabulous & pampered! I am SOO thankful I decided to visit Hair Therapy because that is really what my hair has been going through there- therapy❤️‍🩹 plus the place is freakin adorable, and the whole crew seems to have really good vibes! <3

Oh goodness. What can I even say? Lani has completely changed my life. I have spent 40 years straightening my hair, because I felt like that was the most acceptable way to wear it. I have amazingly gorgeous curls; until I met Lani, I didn't know that. She didn't just cut and color my hair...she taught me how manage, style and love my natural locks. I could not be more grateful. Thank you, Lani!!!

The salon is so welcoming and fresh. If you have curly hair you must go here. I am biracial and have thick curly hair. Lani and Tiffany make me feel so comfortable and they are so positive about curly hair. Lani's haircutting skills are like nothing I have ever experienced. She was able to cut my hair DRY with no product in 30 minutes and it looks incredible. Of course you can get the full wash+cut+style+dry which...is even more incredible. The product lines they carry are luxe and so so worth the money. I will never stop getting my curly haircut here I love that I can make an appointment for getting a trim and I only takes 30 mins...most places take at least an hour and they have to wet my hair.

Welcoming and very friendly, I looked for someone who worked with curly hair regularly. I found Tiggz! Not only did she cut my hair, but she did my daughter's hair as well! She was patient with my kid, and gave me lots of information and asked about our current routine. I loved the experience, and won't go to anyone else anymore. I don't get my hair done often, but it might become a more regular and rewarding treat.

I also have curly hair. I Asked for balayage and ended up with highlights even though I paid for the balayage. I will not be returning. I’ve traveled as far as Washington, Arizona and Vegas to get my hair done by people that weren’t my race b wanted to help or other people that put more effort into my hair. Curly specialists are a joke in portland. I’m a model so I should know. There may be one or two out there that’s decent but I wouldn’t trust here or Arno who both screwed up my hair. Worth the trip to find someone that actually knows what they are doing and does what they say. I hesitated writing a review cuz I feel like lani is a nice person and it’s not personal but I didn’t get my money’s worth and the appointment was a complete waste of time and I was not given what I literally paid for…

I found Lani through a frantic Google search, looking for someone who specializes in curly hair. I needed a color correction BAD and she was able to see me the next day. She is usually booked out a couple of weeks, so I was really in luck! Lani is fabulous to say the least. Her extensive knowledge of curly hair blew me away and has helped me learn to style and take care of my locks. Outside of her hair experience, she is a beautiful person inside and out. You can tell she's authentic and she truly cares for her clients. She's very easy to get along with and her laugh is very contagious! Hair Therapy is a place that fosters love, fabulous hair and brows, and accepts humans of all kinds. Lani's passion for hair goes above and beyond my expectations. I have searched high and low for the perfect stylist for me and I'm very thankful I was able to find Lani. I enjoy my time in her chair and count down the days until my next appointment. I cannot recommend her and her salon enough.

I highly recommend going to see Tiggz to get your eyebrows tended to - she made my brows look great and also talked to me about what to think about before my next wax to get my brows into an even better place. She absolutely put me at ease while waxing my brows, not only with her warmth and humor, but also with her safety practices. Her prices are also a great value!

I went in not very confident in my frizzy hair and unsure of how I wanted it cut. Tiggz helped me decide how I wanted it cut as well as showed me how to style my hair and what products work for my hair texture. She was absolutely amazing and kind, she was very patient and answered all of my questions. Definitely would 10/5 stars if I could, I have never felt so confident in my hair before!!
