I had a first time appt. with Shiyah. I wanted my gray roots colored. Shiyah did an awesome job matching the hair dye color with the color of my hair. They also styled my hair super cute. I will definitely come back!

First time at this salon and I had Laura do my hair. She was amazing, friendly and had so many great suggestions when I didn’t have an idea of exactly what I wanted her to do. This by far is the best salon I’ve been to in Albuquerque, and Laura was the best hairdresser I think I’ve ever been to. Also their prices are very reasonable and well worth the money.

Hmmm.. been going to Laura for over 15 years! So blessed to have such a wonderful friend and a great stylist. So glad she landed at Mindy's place. Such beautiful people and friends. Luv ya all!

I have been going to Laura for a few years now. She is amazing! She has taught me tricks on styling my hair. Suggested great products to ensure that my hair is healthy. And she always makes sure I am 100% satisfied with my hair before I leave. Laura is also very good at suggesting things that you may not have considered that turn out to look incredible! I definitely recommend her to all of my friends and family.

I have to drive out of the way just to come here, but well worth it! I am only in town every few months and wait to see Laura. I have difficult hair, especially after surviving breast cancer. She is so gentle and listens to me. And understanding when I cry about my hair loss. She has changed the way I look AND more importantly the way I feel about myself. She gives me great cuts that grow out lovely and gives me awesome education on how to style and take care of my hair. After just one year, my hair is longer than even, you can barely see my bald spots any more. I am grateful for the lil boutique atmosphere and the one and one care and artistry. Thank you LAURA!!!

I was so excited to get my hair cut with Laura after researching and finding a place close. I arrived early to my appointment and she told me she was running 15-20 min late. I said ok that’s fine and sat down. . She continued to stare at me with a blank stare. I said am I not allowed to wait inside and rudely says that’s fine. Then tells me it’s only 330. Again wasn’t rude or mad that she was running late. Just was excited to have a moms day out and get my hair cut. Don’t waste your time and keeping looking else where.

I've been going to Laura for many years and she always does an amazing job with my color and cut. She's a master at her craft and has fixed many color issues after I decided to color my own hair. I wouldn't trust my color to anyone else.

Laura Montoya is amazing. I been going to her for years and would follow her anywhere she goes. She’s a perfectionist and takes her time. Her work is fabulous and I never feel rushed while in her chair. She's great at communicating so if she’s ever behind she will let me know usually before I even get to the appointment. You will not be disappointed!

Great friendly staff. It was my first time visiting and I felt like I was visiting old friends. Great ladies! My hair was done amazingly and Laura took the time to explain how my hair grows and recommended ways to cut it and how it will over all affect the way my hair grows.

I am new to the area and finding a stylist who understands your hair and cuts it like you ask is hard. Laura Montoya is my 3rd attempt and I am very happy with the cut. She listened and cut it in a way that is easy to style. It is the best haircut I have had in 6 months. I will be returning to let Laura cut and highlight my hair.

My first time here. Laura did a great job on coloring my roots. Salon is small and friendly. Little set back off Paradise before the Chevron station by the old Circle K is the entrance to the little mall they r in.

TLDR; Decent Haircut but the opposite of what I asked for, stylist was short and almost rude, did not listen, ignored me, not all employees wear masks. Do Not Recommend My experience with Laura at Hairapy Salon was disappointing at best. The first 15 minutes of my appointment were spent with my stylist fixing the hair of another stylist. The employee sitting in the chair did not wear a mask; which would be fine, except that I was expected to wear a mask. If I have to wear a mask, I see no reason that the employees shouldn’t show the same respect. The hair on the floor was not swept away before I was called over. My stylist asked short-ended personal questions that while I understand were an attempt at friendliness, came across as more awkward and uncomfortable. Awkward and uncomfortable sums up my experience at this salon. The two stylists would frequently talk to each other while I was ignored. I feel I was not given the time to clearly say what I wanted and I was rushed. My hair came out decent, but I did not get what I had originally asked for. I asked for long layers with no cut on my bangs; I received no layers and my bangs were cut shorter. I warned the stylist that I had a sensitive scalp, and she wasn’t gentle at all. She burned my forehead twice with her hairdryer, and when asked to turn it down she replied “can’t” and kept working. She also feathered the ends of my hair without asking, which I personally dislike having my hair cut that way. Overall, the stylist gave me a decent haircut, but it wasn’t what I’d asked for, and my time spent felt uncomfortable. I will not be returning to this salon, nor would I recommend it. Not worth the time or money.
