Shota-san did the phenominal job! He is well famous among Japanese community. His skills and technics are AMAZING. He did much better job than a famous person in Tokyo. He got magic fingers. Appointment fills up super quick, make one now if you want to get your hair done by him. Highly recommended.

It was my first time visiting Shota. I recently moved to the Springs and was in desperate need of a haircut and styling. After reading everyone’s bio at Sola Salons I came upon Shota’s salon and decided to book with him. I’m so happy I did! I love my hair! My bob style is cut with the perfection and precision I was looking for! He listened to me and gave me input. I would highly recommend Shota and will be happy to refer people to him! Let me start by saying I never leave reviews. I read them, and really should leave them more, but never find the time. I had to find the time for this one. I have had a few bad haircuts in a row and I was tired of having to style my hair to hide its unevenness. I saw the amazing reviews and let me tell you, Shota did not disappoint. He was detail oriented, kind, listened to me complain about my hair, and ultimately fixed a bad haircut and did exactly what I wanted done. I finally have the bob style haircut I was wanting - sleek, stylish, and even! I seriously can’t say enough good things. Thank you thank you thank you.

Shota was very personable, easy to talk to. He did an amazing job on cutting my hair. Took time to listen to what I was hoping for and did excatly what he said he was going to. Pricing was very reasonable. I'm looking forward to having him color my hair next time.

Absolute wonderful experience!!! I had balayage done elsewhere, and i need a good haircut to show it. Mr. Gokyu did it! He's kind, detailed, professional, and very skillful. I also like how he sets up his studio too! I trust his recommendation, and I'm definitely coming back!

Having lost about 75%of my hair due to PCOS I don't have a lot left to work with. I went in and gave Shota free reign to create a style that worked with my face shape. You CAN NOT even tell that I have "hair loss" at all now!. He did THE.MOST.PERFECT haircut I have EVER received. After cutting it he showed me exactly how to style it. Best part? The next day after washing then styling it, it looked EXACTLY like when I left the salon. I recommend him to anyone and I know I am now, a lifelong customer.

Having found my hairstyle in Japan, I have been searching for someone that could give me a ツーブロック two-block hairstyle in Colorado. Shota has excellent attention to detail, nearly replicating the lines of this cut, while still providing his own flair. He is not only excellent with styling. Shota has a wonderful sense of conversation. I not only found myself open to talking about my time living overseas, but felt open to deeper conversation. I could not praise him enough, and I look forward to seeing him again.

i've only ever gone to cheap haircut places and this studio was the first salon i've ever been to and it was a great experience! I have generic thick and straight asian hair which Shota had alot of experience with. 10/10, will be visitng again 👍🏽

I lived in Japan for a total of 9 years. One of the best military assignments we ever had. All those years, Japanese salons had provided me wonderful services. I got excited when I found hairstudio59 in the internet. SHOTA is truly a gem. First, He listens and analyzes your hair. He gently trims to perfection. He carries awesome Japanese products. I am going back for hair color touch up.

I recommend Shota 1000%! I could not be any happier with my cut and color. He made everything I envisioned come true. I've been looking for someone who knew how to layer hair and help me color it without damaging my hair and just someone to really listen to what I wanted and do as I asked and not destroy my hair. HE DID WAY MORE THAN THAT. He went above and beyond, and my hair looks amazing 👏 I finally found someone I completely trusted to cut/color my hair and my daughter's hair. Shota is fun to talk to and attentive, and I really appreciate that. Not to mention... that was the best hair wash I've ever had. I've never felt more relaxed. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL THIS TIME?!

I was looking for a fix for my bangs and Shota Gokyu did a fantastic job ! A Clean and relaxing space as well, very cool that it’s not like other salons where everyone is out in the open together. Definitely recommend

I've never written a review before, but I knew I needed to for Mr. Gokyu. I had a lady mess up my hair a few months before, and I seriously was hating how I looked. So I found Mr. Gokyu and he literally made me feel like myself again. He's also very kind and thoughtful! I told him I was very sensitive to strong smells, and he asked me before putting any product on my hair if it was okay. Very respectful! I'm so thankful and happy that he did my hair! I will be going back!

My daughter loves her new haircut! She’s been wanting curtain bangs and layers for so long but was hesitant to have it done. Shota knew exactly what she wanted and carefully explained how he’ll achieve the look. We both love her new ‘do and will definitely come back!

Shots Gokyu is so professional. He is so good with the cuts I get from him. He can look at a picture and then proceed with the exact cut. His advice with styling is extremely helpful as well. His room is very calm and relaxing with essential oils and wonderful music. He takes getting a haircut to a whole new experience. He creates a relaxing spa like experience. You will not be disappointed.
