Lynn did a horrible job with my daughter’s hair. We asked her to take just an inch off and do long layers. She chopped my daughter’s hair to her shoulder blades. Don’t trust this place. If you don’t know how to do something don’t say you do just for the money. My daughter is in tears now.

I had an appointment at 10:30 and was greeted with a friendly welcome. I had a shampoo which felt amazing and the stylist took her time and did a wonderful job. She then dried my hair and asked me what kind of style I would like for my cut. I showed her some pictures and she went above and beyond. Not only did she cut it and style it perfectly but she took her time and executed it beautifully! As a person who is very mindful of her spending the price for the quality and services was outstanding. I will definitely be going back and recommending this salon !

Horrible. I’m pretty sure the only good reviews on here are from family members or acquaintances. They really should remove WAXING from their window & services, also the WALK IN WELCOME. Second time my mom has walked in asking for eyebrow wax, & they’ve just brushed her off. First time she said she was ignored until someone finally told her “25 min wait.” So she walked out, this time I went with her & 3 women in the sad lonely, empty shop…3! & no one wanted to do eyebrows. Walked in greeted by this lady in pink liptstick & pink smock, told her “hi, can you do eyebrow wax?” & she just started stuttering “uh uh uh…eyebrow??” & I said “yes, just for my mom.” & started talking in her language around the shop, some girl in a white shirt popped out from the back & went back to whatever she was doing. Another girl in a black smock outside ON HER PHONE NOT DOING. ANYTHING OR ATTENDING A CLIENT AT THE TIME, clearly said “naah” in their language which was obviously a big no. Lady in pink smock didn’t tell us yes or no, & just went to wash some clients hair she had there. so as we were walking out she goes “you can go eyebrow around corner.” & I said “do you guys not want to? I mean what is the big trouble?” & again “uh uh you want eyebrow right?” & I said “forget it it’s clear you don’t want to, & neither does she (as I pointed my head towards the girl outside) & she asked “who??” & I said “her!” Just very distasteful. Very racist at this point, since it’s twice that my mom went & they didn’t want to attend her.

worst experience ever. explicitly stated and EMPHASIZED not to cut above eyebrow and to leave hair at eyebrow length. after the haircut, my hair was about 2 inches ABOVE MY EYEBROW! i told the lady that this was not satisfactory at all and she replied “that’s what you told me” when she gave the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of what i was trying to go for. sickening and disgusting.

Ann and her stylist did the great job with the Japanese Hair straightening my hair . It is very soft and straight though it was last min request she did accommodate . I am very satisfied I would like to recommend Hairworks .

I live in a country that doesn’t have many Asians, so I figured while I was here in the US, it’d be the perfect opportunity to get my hair colored at a salon that knows how to work on Asian hair. My sister, who lives in San Diego, suggested Hairworks in Mira Mesa. I made an appointment via text on a Thursday and was able to book an appointment with Anh for Saturday. Upon arriving, I was pleased to see parking for this shopping area is ample, so guests of Hairworks needn’t worry about that. The salon itself is conveniently located in the Village at Mira Mesa shopping area. There is a Marshall’s right across from the salon and several places to eat or grab a coffee while you are waiting for your appointment. The salon itself is bright with large windows and plenty of natural light. The ambiance is chill; it’s not too loud and the music is relaxing. My stylist, Anh, was amazing. She was very professional, not judgy (I came in with an awful haircut lol) and did a beautiful job coloring and highlighting my hair as well evening out the uneven bits I came in with. Anh works methodically and efficiently and I was able to get my (virgin)hair colored, highlighted, toned and trimmed in a little less than 2 hours. She was also able to squeeze my mom in for a quick trim (my mom loved her hair and will continue to go to Anh for all her future haircuts!). I was so pleased with the results and the service that I decided to have my eyebrows microbladed by Anh a few weeks later. The first appointment went well and I’m due for my second session soon. I will write an update and a more detailed review of my microblading experience after the healing process is complete. The prices are very reasonable and the customer service is fantastic. Credit cards are accepted, but not preferred. I paid using zelle, which was the quickest and easiest way for me. If you’ve been looking for a new stylist, don’t hesitate to visit Hairworks!

It was my first time at this salon. I went in as a walk-in. Ann greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and sat me right down to cut my hair. Perfect timing. We talked about my hair for a couple minutes and she began cutting THE BEST HAIRCUT I HAVE HAD IN YEARS. Thank you for the outstanding cut, Ann.

When the door just opened in the morning, I was the first customer, but the two ladies said they were not open, and they were considering opening after an hour, with anger on their faces? Bad attitude not like doing business at all!

It is always a risk trying a new stylist. So I called Hairworks and spoke with Tracy who said she could do the cut i was looking for and she had time right then. I went right in and was so pleased with the result!! Tracy is the third stylist i've tried since I lost my longtime lady but i will not be searching anymore!! And you know its good when strangers, women, compliment my hair!! Thank you Tracy!! You're the best!!

Kim ask me what i want, I asked for curtain bangs, face framing, no layers on the back. Total opposite. The whole time i had my back against the mirror so i can't see what she was doing but i can feel that she is not sectioning my hair properly. My bangs was not evenly cut. There is no face framing. And my hair was crooked at the back. Totally not satisfied and depressing.

The worst salon ever! Try to bring a pic of your haircut style and for sure they’ll cut it the other way around! That’s why we go there coz they know what they’re doing not like, they will keep asking you for so many things about the hairstyle. If you want to cut bald or flattop then they can do it but only until that hairstyle.Good luck if you wish to try!

Ann is the best at microblading and shading. She took her time to shape my brows allowing my input. There was no pain, no swelling & no bleeding whatsoever. She was professional but pleasant and focused.

Omg!! This place saved me TWICE for my baby sister’s wedding! On Tuesday I came in with a bad hair color that I had gotten back in Kansas for $300 & Kimberly was a bit unsure that she could get my hair color to be the exact color that I wanted it (platinum blonde). She was patient, took her time, and was very attentive to my hair! The end result was not what I wanted originally but soooo much better than what it was!! Kimberly got me closer to the blonde I wanted and for only $180!! On Thursday morning, I called to see if they could schedule me for a hair-do since my sister’s hair dresser had to be canceled last minute! I didn’t get the woman’s name, but she took me in ASAP and did my hair for only $40! Both the ladies that worked there really saved my sister’s wedding for me! Highly recommend this place!

Worst haircut I ever had. I sat at the first chair(next to the entrance) and the hairdresser at this booth does not understand instructions. I asked for one thing and he did something else. As soon as I sat down ,he started asking for numbers. He was not willing to listen to what haircut I wanted and got agitated when I asked him some questions about the hairstyle, etc. instead of just giving him the numbers. Before I sat down, I asked him to clean the area as there was a lot of hair on the floor. He got irritated and told me that he will clean it later and asked me to just sit down. I wish I had walked out at this point. Unfortunately, I sat down and let this guy ruin my hair just before my marriage. Worst of all, when I expressed my unhappiness about the haircut and told him I am getting married soon, he had a grin on his face. Utterly unprofessional!!! Please stay away from this place.
