Janice Pancake dyed and cut my hair at Halcyon today. As always, Janice does a fabulous job, she understands what I am envisioning for my hair, and makes me feel at home the second I walk in. Just want to shout out @hairmagicmace at Halcyon Studio for this transformation. I've gone to three hair stylists the last few years and while they've all been very skilled, it hasn't always been the best fit for me based on vegan/plant-based/cruelty free products or just their preferred approaches. I've gone to Macie twice now and appreciate her approach to color, her and the salon's efforts to be green, and also she is the first stylist who gave me an actual helpful recommendation for making my fine hair feel fuller AND was willing to give me long layers (other stylists told me it wouldn't look good on my fine hair). I plan on calling her chair my hair styling home (if she'll have me).

Tried Halcyon Studio last night for the first time and loved it! The space is beautiful and open, and it's in a great location in the Crossroads with easy parking. Janice Pancake, who I followed from a previous salon, did a lovely job on my cut and Balayage. She's very focused on ensuring you love your hair, and offered a glass of wine, which was great after a long day at work! Janice is an expert cutting curly hair, which is really hard to find these days. I highly recommend the salon and Janice!

Hilary and the team at Halycon are simply excellent at what they do. Hilary has cut and colored my hair for about 10 years. She has taken my hair on a journey through almost every color, always managing to make it look so natural that it seems like it grew that way out of my own head, and then back to my natural dirty blonde with confidence and ease. I don't like to style my hair so she has worked with my natural texture and wave to allow me to let it air dry and it still look amazing. I always leave with a boost in my ego, feeling so impressed and grateful to have her!!

I could not say enough wonderful things about Halcyon Studios! I have gone to Hilary since I was in highschool and then when it came time for my wedding her & her crew were my go to! Hilary, Abby & Macie did hair for me, my bridesmaids and moms! Susan did all of our make-up! I couldn’t of been happier. Abby has also done my hair at the studio and she does an absolute incredible job! Couldn’t recommend them enough, they are the best in the business!

I followed Macie to Halcyon because she’s been my favorite stylist for me and my kids for years now. The salon is beautiful and Macie is a color expert who makes sure you leave happy with your look. Plus she’s hilarious so I actually look forward to spending time in her chair.

She has excellent attention to detail, is always straightforward about what can and can’t be accomplished and about how things will look on you. She’s knowledgeable, professional, and also KIND. I have been seeing Macie as my stylist going on 3 years and I don’t think I would trust anyone else to touch my hair like I trust Macie! She is not only talented, but she’s personable, funny, easy to talk to and get along with, and she truly cares about her work and it shows each time I leave her chair! She has chopped 14 inches off my hair, taken my virgin hair and lightened to the blondest blonde and back, and has given me more confidence than I think she even realizes! The salon itself is cozy, always clean and has the most relaxing “Insta-worthy” atmosphere and I truly look forward to my scheduled visits every couple of months. Highly highly recommend this salon, and especially Macie!

I really enjoyed getting my hair cut by Janice a couple of weeks ago! Maybe I'm too picky or not assertive enough when it comes to getting my hair cut but I'm usually left disappointed at other salons; this was not the case with Janice. She listened to me about what I wanted in a curly cut and gave me exactly that. The cut she gave me looks great worn curly but also still looks great if I'm too lazy to style it. I also think the price was very good. I think my favorite part though was she didn't up sell me on any products or services. I will definitely be back!

I’ve gone to many hairstylists over the course of my lifetime New York to LA and Many of them were talented but none have achieved the skills that Macie Sanko has… She is crazy talented in color and cut. Each cut and color has been flawless! She is extremely knowledgeable and personable. Macie listens, understands, consults and then does and an OUTSTANDING “I Love My Hairstyle!” Service. Macie is the absolute best!! She will always be honest about whether she thinks something will work for your hair type, face shape, etc. and is so fun to be around and talk to. She's incredibly skilled and NAILS my haircut every single time. I am also particular about how I like my hair styled, and she always does exactly what ask and she does it WELL. :) I highly recommend her to everyone!

She's taken me from my naturally dark brown hair to a lovely light shade of auburn, from long layered locks to a stylish bob, and she is never judgmental about bangs. Macie also specializes in non-traditional colors, bright vivids, like the bubble gum pink hair she crafted for my child. I have also booked Macie for bridal hair and makeup. Macie always listens to her clients and is attentive to their hair goals and dreams and making their vision a reality. She also gives excellent tips and tricks for styling hair at home. The Halcyon Studio is a stylish and comfortable space and is a participant of Green Circle Salons, which utilizes hair clippings to make hair booms which help clean up oil spills. Not only do you leave the salon looking amazing but you also get to feel great knowing that your hair is bound to do some good. Even when I’m being indecisive she takes the time to talk through our plan, not only for the current appointment, but how it will affect my color in the future.
