I had my first ever facial with Jamie and she did a wonderful job! She made me feel very comfortable, answered all my questions, and explained the process. I was so relaxed and left with my skin looking and feeling great. When I come back I’ll definitely be rebooking with her.

Keep up with your membership. Once you get behind they don’t let you transfer to others and get stuck in your contract because you can’t use them fast enough

My second time at Hand and Stone. My therapist was good, however the first time she added services and didn't fill me in that they were extra costs and what they were. She just said we are going to use today" blah blah blah" but not telling me it was an extra cost. Of course I found out at check out. My second time I was on to this and asked more questions. She wasn't clear on the base cost that she was planning on adding to. I am not sure I am going to return. Also, both times, there was all this pressure to join their membership at $75 a month??? I am not even going every month so how would that pay for itself?

This is the by far the worst place to go for a massage… I get massages weekly and have for over 12 years by far. This place has been a huge disappointment. I brought my husband and my mother-in-law. They both also had bad experiences with their facialist and massage therapist, I decided to cancel my membership when they said there would be no fees no charge no last minute. inability to withdraw so I chose to sign up… What a huge mistake. The manager that I spoke with, is apparently no longer there now some manager name is Sarah, completely in capable of following through with what I was previously promised, is asking me to pay for one more month, sign in sheets, in hand writing that I would like to cancel and not honoring our agreement … I highly recommend you find a different massage place. This is completely unprofessional and if you’re looking for cheap massages, go to Groupon it’s much cheaper and you can try new places with better professionals. These kids are literally out of school calluses on their hand and have no freaking clue what they’re doing especially today from away from this location in South Austin. what a tragic waste of time and money Also, on three occasions, I was charged twice and at the wrong time and had to call and get things sorted out and my bank froze my card because it looked fraudulent… this is not the kind of place you want messing with your finances

To the Corporate Offices of Hand and Stone and Franchises. Your conservative massage policy might have been suitable in 1952, but it is outdated in today's society. We live in an era where athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and hardworking individuals from all walks of life—nurses, salespeople, and others—spend 10-12 hours a day on their feet, resulting in significant leg pain. It's unacceptable that when receiving a massage at Hand and Stone, only about a fourth of the hamstring is addressed, predominantly the outer part. The quadriceps receive minimal attention, barely reaching above the knee, and the gracilis muscle, crucial for many of these hardworking individuals, remains untouched. Moreover, the approach to glute massages is also problematic. Clients often endure an elbow being driven into their buttocks with the sheet causing discomfort, rather than receiving a thorough and professional massage. Over nearly two years of membership, I have never experienced a proper cross-fiber massage, likely because it requires touching the inner leg and using hands instead of elbows or forearms—practices that seem to be avoided due to laziness or ridiculous policy. If your concern is providing a low back or glute massage, there are solutions. Firstly, a client can have a witness sign off with them when they agree to a non sheet glute massage. Secondly, there is an emergency call button on the table if there’s a problem. If clients agree to these terms going in, there should be no issue. This is unacceptable, and I am canceling my membership. I refuse to pay for a service that offers less relief than a massage chair at the airport. I’ve paid for my last abysmal massage from this company. This last one at this location was dreadful!

Five stars based on my last two massages with Adam. His deep tissue technique is great, and he’s excellent at checking in regularly on intensity, focus areas, etc. Great guy—definitely a find!

The last time I came here and it will definitely be the last..I paid for one hour massage clearly they were running behind because they did not call me back there till 10 after the hour, yet I was done by the end of the hour.

The 5 stars are based mostly on massage therapist Freddy. He is awesome! I will say the customer service here is always too notch and deserves 4 stars but having Freddy on staff garners that extra star. If you want a massage that will snatch your soul give Freddy a try. You won't regret it.

Had a facial with Hannah today and she was absolutely lovely. I have been getting facials for years now, almost on a monthly basis, and Hannah provided me the best facial I have had in a long time. She was very attentive, kind, and explained everything even though she knew how often I’ve had facials. I was debating on canceling my membership as H&S has increased the prices, but now I will 100% be returning to see her!

I’ve had several massage memberships over the years but Hand & Stone is by far my favorite experience so far! Great staff, perfect environment and Alex is amazing. I went in with extreme neck/shoulder pain, hadn’t had a good nights sleep in over a month due to the pain and after one visit I was already feeling the relief!

Savvy was awesome and I would definitely get another massage with them. Unfortunately my husband bought the massage and accidentally chose the rate for an established customer so we missed out on the introductory deal. I wish that the front desk folks could have noticed and adjusted so I wouldn’t have been surprised when I looked at our credit card bill later.

The place smells amazing , it is so clean. I am from Houston and used to work for one of the competitors and this place is super clean. Let’s also talk about the front desk staff. Amazing and so customer service oriented. I cannot put into words how impressive this place is . Keep it up !!!

Had the most amazing facial with Jade! She was so sweet and paid attention to my notes from my previous appointments and made sure to not irritate my very sensitive skin. Couldn’t recommend Jade enough. Also Patrick at the front desk was so kind and helpful. :)

Lots of availability good therapists. Professional and love option of no speaking. Convenient to be able to get a facial and skin care products. Wish did have to have a membership and if you use points don’t do hour and half bc they use 2 points when it’s 1 point for a one hour

The positives- lovely place! And the coconut water was delicious! The bad-I took my husband here for his birthday and was very excited to do a couples massage. Prior to the massage you fill out a ton of paperwork and give many details about what you’re looking to get out of the massage whether it be health benefits ie:headaches, relaxation, lighting in the room etc. during the massage I asked to turn down the lights because it was too bright, my husbands masseuse said “no, she needed to be able to see.” Every time we have a massage it’s practically almost dark from the beginning, so that was a bit disheartening. They took us back into the room at 5:09 and talked to us for about 6 minutes prior to leaving the room to get undressed. I looked up at the clock right when they got back in the room and it was already 5:17. When they claimed to be finished I looked at the clock and it was 5:47. I paid for a 1 hr massage (they let you know that day that they will be hands on for 50 minutes and not the full 60. Fine I understand that but not 30 minutes. During the massage you couldn’t hear the relaxing music playing because my husband’s masseuse was coughing so much and then making comments about coughing so much. I understand cedar season and allergy’s but do you have to make lots of comments about it while massaging someone and expect them to answer or comment back about your constant coughing? This was probably the most non relaxing massage ever. I felt like I had to apologize the rest of the night to my husband for choosing this place. I’ve honestly went to the nail salon and had a better deeper massage while getting a pedicure. I don’t know the reasoning to filling out all the forms prior if they aren’t going to read them and focus on areas that you requested or care about any of your wishes during the massage. This felt like an average rub down and not actually a massage.

We were excited for this place. Sad. More cancellations than confirmations, including on my partner’s birthday, which was important. Would recommend a place where their massage therapists show up consistently and they don’t take your money for their own cancellations.

Weirdest massage experience of my life. I'm a member of Hand and Stone Massage in Florida, and I always get a good massage. This time was strange. I booked an hour and a half because I'm on vacation and wanted to get a really good massage. The young man that I was given, moved like a three-toed sloth, excruciatingly slow and without seeming to have any knowledge of my body and what it might need. Each part of my body was partitioned off and smashed as if it was going through a Play-Doh extruder. My fingers and hands were never touched, I felt like he was extremely inexperienced, and I couldn't wait for it to be over. I feel like I wasted my money and my time. It's not that he was creepy, but it was just an overall unpleasant experience for me.
