Will not be returning to this location ever again..Started my day excited about my husband and I getting massages for his birthday..Unfortunately massages didn’t happen!! Had a very bad experience with the front desk staff… Was unable to make our appointments due to 1.5 hour traffic stand still due to an accident on 264 west coming from Rocky Mount heading to interstate 40 this morning at 9:00 .Our appointments was at 10:15 ..traffic was at a stand still taking us over 30 minutes to get only 1 mile .. I called the establishment at 9:50 to let them know our traffic situation and that we are coming but will be late due to traffic at a stand still due to an accident ..I asked them not to charge my credit card for a no show because we’re coming but will be late . I was told to still come and they would probably have to reschedule us depending on when we arrive..Traffic didn’t let up and was at a halt I called back at 10:17 to let them it’ll definitely be after 11:00 when we arrive due to the traffic stand still ..Again I was told to come in and they would see if they could reschedule.us. We finally arrived at 11:23 and as soon as we checked in the receptionist told me they can’t rebook us today and they had double charged by credit card for 79.00 for a no show fee!! even though I called twice explaining that traffic was at a stand still for over an 1.5 hour but we’re still coming. The fact that they charged my card knowing we were coming was the unprofessional part for me ..They didn’t wait until we arrived..And it was obvious the conversation was already cohered between the receptionist and the manager..After10 minutes of back and forth of explaining to the manager why we were late she showed zero empathy and was very adamant about having to charge for no show regardless.. The manager finally says she can take 1 of the 79.00 charges off my credit card ..but not both because the therapist gotta get paid .. We will not be taking our business back to that establishment again and will not recommend it to anyone 👎🏽

Wonderful experience here this past weekend! Called for a last minute massage and they were able to fit me in on Saturday. I saw Pedro and he was absolutely amazing! Super knowledgeable and very helpful in terms of offering suggestions, etc to ease tension and such. He is a great massage therapist and I look forward to going back next time I’m in Cary! I recommend Pedro if he is available!

I went in for a massage no complaints about my masseuse however the receptionist Karla is atrocious! She was inexplicably rude to me but extremely benevolent to a married man whom felt uncomfortable. It’s sad that her repulsive behavior will be the reason why I relocate.

One of my favorite places!! Everyone is always so kind and professional. The front desk staff remembers me and goes above and beyond to make me feel at home. Daiva has such an amazing touch and one of the best estheticians I’ve ever had. Came in with neck pain and Latasha listened to my concerns and focused the massage on my neck leaving me feeling 10 times better!! Such an amazing place! Can’t wait to return.

I was very disappointed by the front desk receptionist. I had an appointment which i was highly looking forward to but i had to cancel because i was admitted at the hospital. I had membership with them and ended up canceling it due to my conversation with the front desk receptionist. I tried to explain the inconvenience and wanted to reschedule but explained the policy of being charged. I asked if they could work with me and waive this as it’s never happened to me but she was rude over the phone. I told her to go ahead and cancel my membership as that was an unpleasant way and lacked empathy per her tone.

Always a relaxing vibe in the waiting room. I come here often and always have been called on time. There has been issues with the add ons that add more time...they don't seem to be aware of the added time, but the front desk is always amazing when it comes to not charging us. Overall, I do enjoy getting my massage and facials from here!

Showing up early for my appointment to find out it was canceled and instead of trying to accommodate they quickly jumped to listen to my wife’s message even though I didn’t argue or make a fuss about it. Zero customer service from management. Will never go back again even after they called and offered a free service!!

It’s a treat everytime I go! I’ve had facials, massages, and waxes from several different people on several different occasions and somehow it gets better each time. The space is calming and clean and the products are always top of the line. This is also my favorite spot for gift cards! Everyone loves receiving this as a gift

I have tried the deep tissue and lymphatic system massages. Both have been very comprehensive and beneficial. Andrew is very pleasant and professional. I came in to redeem a massage with a gift card and I am really pleased with my experiences so I am now a member.

I really do love my experience this Hand and Stone every time I visit. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting and I feel comfortable during, before, and after my service. The professionalism of the front desk is unmatched to any other spa in the area. This place is horrible! I would give it negative zero stars if I could. The people working there are so rude and judgemental of who walks in! They were very criticizing and completely inappropriate with their attitude. I have changed to Massage Envy and will never go back to any Hand and Stone! Save your money and time and look elsewhere!

Best massage ever! Kevin was awesome! I had a personalized massage based on my needs and to help balance my shoulders and hips due to the way I am positioned every day at my job. He is very knowledgeable and explained everything well. All the staff have always been extremely nice and accommodating.

HORRIBLE Terrible experience! The receptionist who checked me in was incredibly rude. I inquired about the Serenity package my husband paid for as a surprise, and she insisted it only included a facial, despite the online information and package menu clearly stating a 50-minute massage followed by a 50-minute facial. When I tried to explain, she cut me off and bluntly said, "No, it's just a facial." To make matters worse, she denied any possibility of using the gift card for other services and falsely led me to believe a refund might be possible and stated that only the manager could speak with the number on file (my husbands). The manager later called my husband, claiming she was told that I didn't want some of the services and that we'd be charged for one due to the esthetician's waiting time. However, it seems as if the whole story wasn't informed to the manager... that I was told I was only getting a facial ( I wasn't opposed to the facial but I was under the impression I would be getting a relaxation massage with a facial but yet told "No its just a facial".) This whole ordeal was marked by miscommunication, and it's clear no one was concerned about the dismissive behavior of the receptionist. She not only interrupted me but also avoided making eye contact, focusing on her computer instead. This place is misleading, and I strongly advise against it. I'll be informing my colleagues and friends to steer clear of this location. Awful experience!

Massages have been great. Wife purchased a subscription and we don't use it enough so credits are built up.... wish you could transfer more or have a family plan. Worth noting that even if you are sick, have Dr. note, hospitalized, etc... they will charge you at least a 50% service fee for missing your appointment if you don't stop in the middle of your life emergency to make sure and call them 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. Not sure why anyone would have a policy that gives a $$ incentive to show up sick and contagious while punishing people for doing the right thing.. but apparently that is how they roll.

The Waverly Place in Cary location is extremely professional. Having worked at a previous Hand and Stone for years this location has set the bar high. The scent, the professionalism, the smiles and feeling like the experience was all about me. The receptionists were very kind and they set the tone from check in to check out. My massage therapist was very professional and my stress level and pain relief was relieved. I scheduled last minute and I appreciate being able to get an appointment on a Friday night. Andrew was my therapist and he addressed all my concerns and covered all his bases. I will return and recommend this location from here on out. Thank you so much for representing Hand and Stone at its best.
