As others have reported, the business relies on making it impossible to cancel a membership, a predatory business practice. I have emailed twice, receiving no response. I have called and was informed a manager would have to approve the cancellation (not apparent why). I was told the manager would return my call in 24 hours: she did not. This is the kind of predatory practice that the FTC is now regulating under 16 CFR part 425.

DO NOT SIGN UP!!!! They make so impossible for you to cancel. Courtney the manager will text you and say she will send a form to cancel and you will never get a form and they continue to charge you. When you call regarding canceling your membership it goes directly to a 3rd party and all they tell you is the manager will call you. This is awful how they take advantage of other people monies.

Alween was amazing, definitely knows his stuff. He pays attention, looks for problems, and doesn’t just go through the motions. Much more of a clinical massage with thoughtful massage work and recommendations. He’s top notch!

Came here on my birthday (12/14) and it was very much needed. The staff here are beyond friendly and I am glad I decided to come here. My massage helped me feel calm and at ease. I can't wait for my next one!

Current favorite massage therapists are Lapaca and Ericka. I have been coming to Hand and Stone South Loop for several years and have always had a good experience. The rooms are clean and the therapists / estheticians are always friendly. They have all been very open to any comments and adjust their services to suit your preferences. Their online scheduling calendar works well.

I’ve been working with Erika for the last 6 months. My face has definitely seen major improvements. She takes her time and gets to understand your skin. Definitely book with her she will get you right.

My esthetician was Erika S. I booked for a brighten facial. She provided great tips to make my skin care routine better. She also recommended some products that will work best for my skin. While making my skin look/feel amazing. Thank you Girl 🫶🏽🥰

Near to impossible to cancel your membership due to Courtney. I made them update the contract they make you sign when you leave so I wouldn’t be charged again. She lied verbally, in writing, and then breached a contract. I had to file a fraud dispute with my credit card and send them her emails. She ignored my last reach out asking why she illegally charged me again so I figured I put this here to warn others.

Frantasia was AMAZING! Wish I could bring her back with me to Florida! Great front desk staff too. Everyone was super kind and listen to my requests and executed them perfectly. If I’m ever back in Chicago I will be coming back to this Hand and Stone!

Booked a massage an hour before the start time. Massage was booked for 1:30 and I booked it after 12. Didn’t confirm the appointment and tried to call to explain I had just driven halfway across the country and I was honestly too exhausted to walk Nextdoor (live in the apartment building attached). They charged my card, which I understand but I called twice about rebooking the service. I was told the manager Kelly would call me back. She never did. Tried calling and reaching out again but the manager is never available. Disappointing customer service. I would not recommend booking online with your card information because if something comes up they will charge you and they’ll be impossible to reach by phone.
