Our experience at Hand & Stone Massage was awful. When I called to book, the receptionist was uninterested and struggled to answer basic questions. After finally scheduling, we added foot and scalp massages for an extra $15 each. When we arrived, the front desk girl was visibly sick, which was concerning. They also weren’t prepared—no extra pillow to support my pregnant wife, which should be standard. During the massage, my wife asked for firmer pressure, and instead of adjusting right away, the therapist left to check with the front desk about an extra charge. This wasted time, and we agreed to pay, but the therapists were completely unskilled. Massage skills? 0 out of 10—I could have done a better job massaging myself. The massage started at 6:15 and ended at 6:50—a total of just 35 minutes, despite paying for a 60-minute session and extra add-ons. Although the skills were so bad that I was relieved it was over, I still felt completely ripped off. To make matters worse, we didn’t even receive the add-ons we paid for. I only got one out of the two, and my wife didn’t get any. When we asked the therapists about it after the session, they just said they forgot and didn’t offer to do anything to fix it. We later learned that the “add-ons” cut into your overall massage time instead of adding to it—something they never explained upfront. It felt like a total scam. I left feeling upset, angry, and ripped off instead of relaxed and in a good mood. Between the poor service, lack of professionalism, and misleading policies, we won’t be returning. After reading some other reviews, it seems like starting late, ending early, and not correcting your mistakes is a common theme.

I paid for a full body massage. Anna, the therapist, forgot to do my right hand. In the end, when I asked her if she could do my right hand because she forgot, she rudely claimed that she did by saying, "Uh huh, i did," and just walked out. I have been going there for years. The therapists usually wait for you at the door to offer water after your massage. She didn't even bother.

Jade at Hand and Stone in Addison IS ONE OF THE VERY BEST MASSAGE THERAPISTS!! She is a master of her craft! I drive 1 hour to see her because she is THAT AMAZING! Perfect pressure and listens to your preferences. My fav’s are her fabulous hand, arm, scalp, back and foot massages. She’s so great I always book 2 hour sessions just to fit it all in. She’s has the perfect balance of relaxing with sore muscle therapeutic/healing techniques. The 5 shiniest golden stars to Jade!

Found out this place has been charging me and my fiance for memberships for two years and we don't even live in Texas anymore. I called them in May to cancel and ask for a refund. They offered us store credits that came up to less than half of what they charged us. In my anger I denied the credits and asked them to cancel my account immediately. That was may. I checked my account this morning. Came to find out they never stopped charging me :'(. This place is legitimately stealing from us! Do NOT SIGN UP HERE!

My husband and I have been trying to cancel July. We've called every month and they've verbally said yep, yep, but we still got pinged in our bank account. FINALLLLY, when we called again they mentioned a DocuSign. Which we had never been sent. They make it easy to sign up, but they will literally block you from canceling by not disclosing the DocuSign. They squeezed three months more from me and no refund. Don't do sign up.

I recently visited Hand and Stone Massage and had an exceptional experience thanks to the outstanding service from Olivia at the front desk and the incredible massage skills of Travis! Olivia greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. She was friendly, efficient, and accommodating, making the check-in process seamless. Her kindness and professionalism set the tone for a wonderful visit. Travis, the masseuse, was truly phenomenal! He listened attentively to my concerns about shoulder pain and tailored the massage to target those areas. His expertise and technique were impressive, and he worked out all the knots and kinks, leaving me feeling relaxed and relieved. Travis's knowledge of massage therapy and his ability to apply just the right amount of pressure made all the difference. I left feeling like a new person, with significantly reduced shoulder pain and a sense of calm. Kudos to Olivia and Travis for providing exceptional service and making my experience at Hand & Stone truly unforgettable. Hands down the worst facial I've ever had. Couldn't even relax because the lady kept asking if I wanted to do all these add-ons that costed extra. When I said "no thank you, I'll just stick with the basic," she genuinely seemed annoyed and proceeded to give me the worst facial of my life, scrubbing my face harshly with a washcloth and scrub and doing two extractions on one area of my face before saying "your pores are too tight so I can't do any more extractions, you really need the (add-on, whatever it was)." You could tell she had no interest in providing a good experience, which really was dumb on her part because if she gave a good experience I would have come back, possibly doing the more expensive facial next time. This place needs to realize that it is NOT a good experience to discuss financials once in the room getting a service (ask beforehand) and if someone says no... they need to be understanding! I left anxious, uncomfortable, and my face had huge dry patches for days afterward. It seriously seemed like the lady was trying to give a joke of a facial. I recommend Alchemy Face Bar if you are looking for a good facial where they do an amazing job, allow you to fully relax, AND they don't discuss a bunch of financials once you are at your service!!

Received a massage from Pharrell ( hope I spelled that correctly), and it was just about perfect, ( it'll be perfect next time...should've done the cupping he wanted to do). His pressure is crazy, so his medium is a heavy deep. He's skilled, knowledgeable, and has healing hands. I'm so grateful and look forward to my next massage. Highly recommended.

The last massage I had was absolutely amazing. I can’t remember the gentleman’s name who gave me the massage but he was awesome!! My only regret was that it was only an hour. I don’t make that mistake again!!

Horrible service ! Waste of every single $ ! Jade was my masseuse! I appreciate his knowledge but I’m there to relax and not get a Ted Talk on body ! If that’s the goal then they should sit and explain and then do the service ! It was like visiting a chiropractor not even for a second did he massage ! He literally didn’t even do anything ! Made me sit and do breathe in and out ! Horrible horrible horrible service !! Kept on talking ! What’s the point of asking how the customer wants the environment ! And there was no pressure at all

I showed up 20 minutes early, but the massage still started 5 minutes late the actual massage was cut 10 minutes short, I looked at the clock in the room and it was stopped 10 minutes before the end time. 1 hour massage for $130 but only got 45 minutes of actual massage. Front room was nice and clean. Front desk staff couldn’t figure out how to enter a gift card bought just 1 week prior to the reservation.

Rating is about a 2.5 & the extra "kudos" per say goes towards the person who first booked my appointment & then provided an aromatherapy session. A few weeks back, I booked a Swedish massage appointment here. It has been at least few years since I had gotten a massage, so I was looking forward to it. Nine times out of ten, I plan ahead and also wanted to double-check that it would be okay for my own comfort that I leave some light clothing on. It's never been an issue in the past, at least according to my recollection, however I like to be preemptive. The associate on the phone assured me that it was fine, & later I confirmed it says "undress to one's level of comfort" in both the website and paperwork you sign prior to the session. The evening before my massage, the place calls to say the masseuse I booked with is unavailable & the next available time with a female masseuse would be 11. A bit annoyed that it was quite last minute, but I agreed. A few hours before the massage, I recieve yet a 2nd phone call suggesting I postpone my already rescheduled appointment yet again to have a clinician "to better suit my needs." By that point, I was annoyed with 1 more phone call about rescheduling an appointment I had originally made weeks ago and upon sharing I'd rather not have to change appointment times yet again, the associate on the phone said it would be fine to keep it as is. Credit where credit is due, she was very understanding and comped an aromatherapy session for the headache. Entrance: Lobby is lovely, spacious and very soothing. There were 2 ladies at the desk, 1 I found out to be the woman I spoke to on the phone was great, the other one, an older woman was certainly acting friendly but was a bit too "in your face." Masseuse: Points for honesty & clarification, otherwise not the greatest experience. She stated she would be unable to do my back with a tank top on and would just focus on other areas. Honestly, I was surprised, especially since "undress to level of comfort" emblazoned in their paperwork et al leads one to believe this is not the case no matter who the masseuse is. In the end, I wanted my back done, so I opted for no tank, but it felt bothersome an experienced clinician working in this place with the aforementioned messaging on website/paperwork was unable to work with me a little better on that . Massage: There were some relaxing points I appreciated, but despite it being a Swedish massage, there were quite a few points, she was hurting me. After already complaining about the whole rescheduling business, I didn't want the moniker of being some difficult person, so I opted to grimace in silence, but ouch, it certainly wasn't the relaxing experience I hoped it would be. Checkout: Not great. Pro: Appreciated the aromatherapy session I got for the last minute headaches. Despite the whole adventure I had, imagine my surprise when the older woman working the front desk put some rather unpleasant pressure on me to purchase/sign up for a membership. She didn't accept "no thank you" the first time, and the 2nd time just felt,,, uncomfortable Imagine if you will, trying to turn away the Avon Lady at the front door. Gauging by previous reviews, this wasn't the 1st time this has happened to customers while paying. I do appreciate the woman on the phone who was kind to me, but otherwise, this unfortunately was not the relaxing experience I hoped it would be. Please do better

I've been getting facials from Rachel for over two years because she is awesome! It's so nice to receive a service from someone who truly loves what they are doing and that's what you get from Rachel every time!!! Facials with Rachel are always a highlight of the week! Very professional, just first class!

Rachel gives a decent facial but I overheard her saying some extremely inappropriate and unprofessional things about one of her fellow estheticians while I was getting disrobed for service. I wonder how she speaks about the clients 😬 edit to add; I used my besties account so I’m not in your system. Rachel’s technical abilities are not in question, her ethics are. You see people are vulnerable when they are naked on a table and clients like myself fear judgement whether it’s the Dr office or a spa treatment. When an employee, especially a high level one such as a lead in this case, is discussing personal matters regarding her coworker it makes one feel very uncomfortable. I’m not bothered by your disbelief in my review, although it is concerning, but rather the experience of other clients as we shouldn’t have to worry about what she’s discussing about us in the break room.

I came to get a full body massage and the girls at the front were very kind. My masseuse asked me where I wanted the focus to be and I told her my back and feet. I basically got a back rub, there was no actual massage movement. When she got to my feet I thought okay maybe this where she’s going to set the attention and she used a hot towel, moved my foot to the side and then used the same towel on the other foot, did the same and it was over. One of the nice girls over heard me telling my sister about it and offered to make things right since it wasn’t an ideal experience. I thought oh, that’s so kind caring. I believe the managers name is Ray, came up to us and pointed out that we were late.. we were 2 minutes late because we had trouble locating the place. So that’s how we’re going to start the conversation of making things right..? I made it clear that we were not asking for anything in the first place, I was simply telling my sister about my experience. She offered me a foot scrub but at that point I was frustrated with her approach and tone and I have no interest in returning. Jennifer was my masseuse by the way and I do not recommend her.

It was just okay. Despite having a specific area of concern that I shared, the massage was basically one of those that follows a set script with only a bit more time spent on the area of concern. Not bad in any way, but not really what I was looking for in a sports massage. Then there is the pressure, admittedly low pressure, sales pitch at the end to join up as this is a place trying to follow the Massage Envy model. It was clean and comfortable and masseuse was fine. But it wasn't really for me and I won't be back to pay the "full" rate.

There lack of communication is not worth the hassle. When I attempted to cancel, they advised me to call, but there is only one person authorized to manage cancellations? I was given the runaround, being told to call back in 30 minutes, only to be instructed to try again the next day. I even submitted a request for cancellation via the website that has not yielded any results. To make matters worse, they consistently tell me certain 'upgrades' will be covered by my packages, only for me to be met with charges upon checkout. To top it all off, they raised their membership pricing without any communication. Its too stressful dealing with their poor business practices.
