I love coming to get my massage. I see Rose she has magical hands she melt away all the tension. I enjoy the Cottman office the atmosphere and the staff is friendly and it’s clean . I recommend getting a massage try them out.

I love going to this location! I’ve been seeing Tara for my massages and I have a great experience every single time! No complaints! I also recommend getting the membership, it serves as the perfect monthly relaxation reset!

Love it here!! Every time I come to this location I leave feeling luxurious, refreshed, and so relaxed. Shoutout to Rosie the lead esthetician she made my skin glow like a porcelain doll. Go see her and the rest of the beautiful ladies that take care of me every month when I visit! Get the membership so you can alternate massage and facial services each month like do! :) Already can’t wait to go back!

Love this location always smooth booking LOVE TARA!! Amazing and I appreciate that she wears gloves, I myself am a germaphobic so I love that she wears these really puts me at ease she’s very professional and a great masseuse I’m a member and it’s money well spent!!

Honest to God the only reason I go to this hand and stone is because of Rosalee. I've been going to her for a minute now and you would think "okay every single massage can't be this good" but massage after massage this girl just keeps giving the same amazing quality and she doesnt skimp. Idk what massage therapists make but whatever it is she needs to be paid more lol the day she no longer works there is the day I'll no longer be going there. That girl is a Godsend.

I went for a full body massage and facial. The massage was great. As for my facial it was terrible. I came to get my skin care concerns addressed. Instead I received no extractions and a bunch of products to further clog my pores. Usually when I get a facial I have a glow however this time my face looked the same as when I walked in. The massage included with the facial was terrible. I could tell the esthetician was inexperienced which is fine but not for me. I work hard for my money and I’m paying for a service the manager was rude and told me to book another facial and they give me a free add on. Which is insane why would I pay for a service and your workers are inexperienced. I’ve never had a bad facial until then. Please choose a different location even grant ave is better which is not too far !

My expirenced was amazing from beginning to the end. The front desk young women was very kind and a nice, also very welcoming. I dont know her name, but my appointment was yesterday Oct 10, 2024 at 7:00pm. I have to say I have been in search of a good massage, and im excited to say I found her. Remember her name because she is really, really good at what she do her name is Rosalee. Im very glad i was able to meet her and to experience how talented she is in what she does . Her hands can heal many, many kudos to her!🙌 Rosalee is very professional and she cares. Her work alone speaks volumes! Shes a catch Hand&Stone. I see talent when i see it. Rosales your it! Go girl =) much blessings to you. I was going to cancel my membership too because I havent had to time to treat my self, but after yesterday forget that. This was a well needed gift from my family. The place was AWESOME. Front desk staff ladies were amazing, professional and very friendly. Filled out the forms at home as suggested on the website and arrived 15 minutes early just in case. Everything went smoothly when I arrived. Confirming my services took less than 2 minutes. Went back at my scheduled time. Jason did an amazing job with my massage and was very professional. He talked about pressure amounts I would be comfortable with. The massage was well needed. It was a great professional, friendly experience all the way around.

Hello to you all. I visited this location on Cottoman Ave today and it was nothing less than AMAZING 🤩. The two services I got today was a facial and a massage. Jasmine preformed the facial which was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about her craft and executed the service perfectly. The massage was performed by Rosalie. She was very professional and conducted the service with top notch service. The front desk greeters were great as well. I very welcoming place of business. Overall I give this location 11 stars ⭐️. Will be back soon

Other locations are good but this one was not. My appointment was pushed back and hour and a half. The massage itself was not good and the price is significantly higher than other locations. I do not recommend at all.

excellent massage, but... they began to demand tips even before I managed to pay for the massage itself. It became very disgusting. The massage ruined my mood.

I usually don't leave reviews, but feel i should, today is my mother's birthday, and I booked a Spa session for her. my mother is very cautious of the places she goes. However, She told me she had a wonderful experience and Tara her message Therapists was amazing. My mother was all smiles. The lady's at the front desk was also Kind and pleasant. Thank you.

So I decided to get a prenatal massage about a month ago because I’m expecting and my back began to hurt. After my massage I asked about the membership because this would be nice to have during my pregnancy. I get signed up great. I book my next appointment and I find out that the prenatal is not included in the monthly credit and it’s a $15 upgrade. Now granted it’s still cheaper with the membership but here is my problem, why was I never told about this when I signed up. So I called the location to cancel my membership because it’s the principle of them not selling with integrity. The woman who answered the phone was Bianca. She tells me she will take my name and number and someone will call me back. She asked my name I tell her. She seems to recognize me but I only say my first name no last name. I’m sure there’s a bunch of Jessica’s I can’t be the only one. She doesn’t take my name and number and guess what? No one calls. Because Bianca says I’m sorry to hear you want to cancel someone should call you soon. They don’t! You know why because then they wouldn’t get their commission for my sign up! The only reason I kept my membership was because of the staff at grant. I will not be returning to cottman and will be getting my services at grant. You guys need some integrity when selling and let your customers know everything. If they would of told me about the $15 up charge I would of been fine but give me that choice as a paying customer. Just an update I called the number they told me to call and nothing happened. They don’t care the response is for the benefit of the google review.

The facial tech didn’t use a headband/towel to keep products off my hair (they could’ve told me to bring my own if they weren’t providing). Everything she put on my face also went several inches onto my hair. I had just washed my hair the day before and had to wash again after leaving. When she put the overhead light on, I was blinded through the thin skin covering my eyeballs. She didn’t put eye covers on me like you’d get at a tanning salon (I had an Italian step mom). She didn’t tell me what she was doing at all or until after the fact. For instance, she put acid on my face and I felt it burning before she told me that and she very firmly pressed and dragged a tool across my face and never mentioned what she was doing. As I got dressed (I think I’m pretty quick), I heard her huff in the hallway bc I was taking too long. Wouldn’t recommend or do again. Maybe she treats other people differently idk

I regret to express my disappointment with the service provided by Shirley, the assistant manager at the Cottman location. Throughout my interactions, Shirley exhibited a lack of professionalism and courtesy. She consistently spoke over me, displayed a dismissive attitude, and even abruptly ended our conversation. Furthermore, I encountered issues with my subscription, where I received incorrect information and experienced difficulties with account freezes and point additions. Despite seeking assistance, the team, including Shirley, failed to address my concerns adequately. Overall, my experiences with Shirley and the team have been frustrating and unproductive. I hope that management addresses these issues to improve customer satisfaction and uphold the standards of professionalism expected from this location.

I usually have a wonderful experience, this visit was the total opposite. Arrived 10 mins prior to my appointment and was checked in immediately. Here's where it goes downhill, 10 minutes after my 5 p.m. appointment I stopped someone to ask when someone would come for me. Young lady went to the back and came out with another employee who then said my name. Her energy was off and I felt like I was disturbing her. After messages I walked out to lobby (she was not outside of room.) she stood talking to another employee and did not stop even though I was standing behind her. After finishing her conversation, she then attempted to give me a cup of water that was sitting on the counter , no thank you ma'am. Left feeling like that was a waste of a membership visit, and was not relaxed at all. Also was back in my car at 6:11 p.m.. do the math, my message was less than 60 mins.

I went to get a message on Saturday, I requested a man my appointment was 1 my tech was horrible his hands was rough he was fast and he have no business giving out professional messages. The tech rubbing body so damn fast , wiggling my toes like he was tryna crack them. Than he had the nerve to stop the clock at 1:40 . 20 minutes early than he had the nerve to ask me for a tip . I asked him not to not apply deep tissue and guess what this man was doing deep tissue.. get rid of him .. Cottman Location

Subject: Unpleasant Experience with Gift Card I recently visited your spa and had an overall positive experience with the massage therapist. However, I wanted to bring to your attention an issue I encountered during the front-of-house process that significantly impacted my experience. Upon presenting a gift certificate, I was surprised to be informed about a $10 transfer fee, despite the card clearly indicating that the fee had been paid. The confusion escalated, with the computer system seemingly struggling to verify information, especially regarding the transfer fee and a potential tip application. The spa manager, identified as Michele (who I thought was Shirley), was unfortunately not very helpful in resolving the matter. I understand that this location is different from where the gift certificate was purchased, but the lack of seamless communication and clarity was disappointing. I wish to emphasize that my concern goes beyond the $10 transfer fee; it's about the overall offputting experience that followed. The inability to obtain clear answers and the unnecessary calls to the gift giver created an unwarranted level of frustration. As someone who appreciates a spa experiences, I believe that your establishment should strive for better communication and smoother processes, especially when dealing with gift cards and transfers. A gift should be a straightforward and enjoyable experience, not one that leaves the recipient feeling frustrated and questioning the service. Kevyahna at the front desk is exceptional and completely friendly. I’ve had several massage therapists there and every single one has addressed my issue in a friendly and professional manner. I will not stop coming here at all. This is the perfect place for me. Kudos to Jason (I’m so sorry if I got the name wrong) who took care of me on yesterday. He truly cared for every single issue I had and always asked permission before moving on. This location is a hidden gem in the city of Philadelphia.
