Booked a couples massage for Valentine’s Day as a surprise, I’ve been before but my partner has not. My info was already in the system they asked for my partners name and telephone number. She then received a text message about our massage despite me booking it and only me being the one that’s gonna be contacted 2 days before. Definitely ruined the evening as this was based on surprising her from work straight to our massage Disappointing to say the least. Will not be returning

I’ve been here twice and had the most amazing deep tissue massages from Joanna! I’ve had MANY massages in my lifetime and Joanna is the only one who can give me the relief I need. This spa is clean and runs very efficiently. The manager, Donna, is so kind as well as the front desk staff.

One of the worst places I’ve been for a massage. The massage was terrible and overpriced I went a few times as I had some certificates and usually hand and stone are decent but this location is brutal. Go to the North Scottsdale location or check out Thai authentic massage it’s 5 mins away and 1000 times better and it’s much cheaper not sure why anyone would come here when they have that option right around the corner.

Marleen gave such a great relaxing massage, and I opted for the cbd oil it was worth it! I highly recommend you get a massage from Marleen she is fantastic! I also had a massage from Mary a few week ago she was really good too! You can't go wrong at this spa! I had a facial with Arianna and it was the best facial I've ever had! I opted for the diamond glow and yes I had a radiant glow the whole day! I did however not know about the downtime afterwards the next couple of days, my skin peeled and was dry as it was heeling from the diamond machine, taking the layer of deadskin off. I am confident my skin will be better than in another day or so. I highly recommend Ariana and enjoyed every part of the facial. I will definitely book again soon but not the diamond glow for me.

Had a wonderful time at hand and stone this afternoon. Baylee was such a welcoming face and sweet personality to have contact with when I first walked in. The absolute best facial I have ever had from Cassi today. 10/10 would recommend!

Moved to AZ from MA and this location is AMAZING! Everyone is so kind, respectful, and listens to your preferences/request. Massage was fantastic and facial was so calming. Highly recommend!!

I have been going here for awhile and always have a great experience. Katie is wonderful for those who want a massage deep enough to be helpful but not too much to where you aren’t relaxed during your massage. She keeps me coming back!

If you are a breast cancer patient undergoing radiation therapy avoid this place. I called to inquire about a massage earlier this week. Told them I was undergoing radiation therapy for breast cancer. My shoulder and neck were very sore from holding my left arm up in a holder for 30 min and my neck was sore from having to hold it in turned position for the same amount of time. Radiation therapy is typically 5 days a week . They gave me appointment. Then they called back and said I needed a note from radiologist. I got the note from doctor from MD Anderson Cancer Center-Well known, prestigious cancer center. They switched me to an oncologic massage person. Today one hour from 5 pm appointment I receive a call saying they could not see me. I can come a week after therapy. I need therapy now not a week from now. They said it was for my safety. Obviously my doctor thought it was safe also radiation is given every weekday not with gaps of a week. Their oncologic massage person seemed not to know that. Another comment -not safe for others. What, I radiate everyone around me?? This company needs to train their staff on how radiation therapy works if they want to offer a so-called oncologic massage. Terrible experience - steer clear of this place. I actively discourage anyone from going there. Despite having had numerous massages, this was easily the worst one I've ever endured. Upon arrival, I filled out a brief intake form. My medical conditions were not discussed with ANYONE. The massage itself was incredibly weak; it felt like my 3-year-old could have done a better job. When I finished, the receptionist asked about my experience, and I didn't hold back—I told them it was the worst massage I'd ever had. They apologized and wanted more details, which I provided. But then the manager's response was utterly absurd: "Medical conditions are in fine print on the forms." That's just nonsensical and does not make sense at all. Despite my dissatisfaction, they still charged me for the massage. I left with the intention of warning others about my experience. Massages aren't trivial; they involve medical considerations. A poorly executed massage can lead to serious harm. Overall, deeply disappointed with the entire ordeal.

They offer an introductory deal for new customers, which was a really good deal. The environment is also good. However, the massage skills and techniques are questionable at best. The masseuse was a really nice person, and she tried her best - However, as someone who have got massages around the world (9+ cities across East Asia, Europe, Middle East, and North America), I can tell that the masseuse lacks fundamental experience and stamina. I shouldn’t have come :(

First I must confess, I do not write reviews often. However, I am writing a review of the most knowledgeable, professional and very best massage therapist I have ever experienced. I travel often and enjoy massages everywhere I can. Sharon at Hand and Stone is just incredible. I workout and am constantly going so I have lots of tension and strained muscles. Sharon addresses all of my issues and I honestly am like a new person when I leave. Customer service at the front was great. The massage itself was the worst massage I’ve ever had. It lasted 30 minutes total even though I purchased an hour massage plus two 15 minute add ons. I’m very annoyed that I spent a good amount of money and the quality was genuinely awful. I don’t know if it was just the therapist or if it’s the entire place in general but I would save your money.

Donna was extremely rude and called me an idiot as I’ve been a member with Hand & Stone 8 years. if I didn’t have 12 credits built up I would cancel. never going to this location again which is a shame because Frida and Sharon are great. Donna ruined it for them. Poor management.

Friendly staff, once you walk into the spa you feel relaxed. Large waiting area. They always have massage time slots available. I’d strongly recommend Mary. She is great!

I am a last minute booker and I have had massages/ facials from almost everyone that works here- all have been great! Everyone is always great with communication and feedback about pressure. Highly recommend this place. Parking is easy too! What you get for the price point is well worth it.

I enjoyed my experience, but I feel like I was SCAMMED. I scheduled a couple's massage in-person, as a gift for my boyfriend's birthday, and was told it would be $139.95 total. When we were checking out after the massage, I was told that the grand total was $371.90 because each individual has to pay the price of the listed couples massage, which is extremely misleading since it as advertised for a COUPLE. Had I known we each had to pay the price of a couples massage, I would have scheduled two separate massages which would have been much MUCH cheaper. Not to mention that when I was setting up the appointment, I had to provide his phone number as part of their "registration process", and considering this was a gift for his birthday, I specifically asked to NOT send any appointment confirmations or reminders to him. I was told that he would NOT receive anything. Minutes later, he received a text message, completely spoiling the surprise. UGH! Overall, I enjoyed the massage experience, but I would've appreciated transparency. I would have taken the business elsewhere had I known a couple has to pay the price of two couples massages. Lesson learned. I'm extremely disappointed, and will not be coming back.

I’ve only had good service at the Hand & Stone location. The massages and facials are relaxing and effective. My only issue are the employees that don’t stay in their lane when giving medical advice. They should not be prescribing medical devices and telling others that they can quantify tissue damage assessed by their hands. They should not be educating people with incorrect sun protection knowledge.

Unmemorable. I had stiffness in my neck and upper left shoulder, as I had shared in writing and in words. I also told my therapist I had night cramps in my calves and feet. I laid on my face for the majority of the 45/50 minute session and it was uncomfortable on my neck, with little attention given to that area overall. I had a better massage at my pedicure a few days later on my achy feet and calves. Lastly, I missed having my hands and feet massaged. Thanks.
