I felt like management was rude and perceived me as someone that didn’t belong there. Racism? Ageism? Either way, it was such an uncomfortable environment.

I originally signed up at this location about six years ago at a rate of $59.95 per month. Over time, I stopped coming here due to the lack of consistency with therapists and began attending the Desert Ridge location instead. However, my membership has remained tied to this location because it’s where I initially signed up. My sister signed up at the Peoria location around the same time and has been able to keep her original $59.95 rate ever since. Unfortunately, this location doesn’t seem to offer the same loyalty to long-term clients. My rate has been bumped up to the current standard fee of $79.95 per month, which feels unfair and frustrating. It’s disappointing that some locations prioritize customer retention while others seem more focused on profit. When I called recently to address this, the front desk staff took my information and assured me that management would follow up. Unsurprisingly, I never received a call back. Overall, this location’s lack of customer care and inconsistent policies earns it two thumbs down.

H&S at Lone Mountain + Desert Ridge H&S When I first attended the N Scottsdale H&S was fantastic. Switch to the past year…. – slowly saw it changing, not for the better this has now become a sales pitch location, I set an appointment. They call for a changed timing; if I had to change or cancel it, I have to pay a fee - just now…. last straw, although they try to sell a wax with a facial they wanna upgrade you AND reschedule With no thought to me, my time, my energies. Why don’t you inspect our conditions versus everyone reacts the same so let’s automatically pile on more hefty prices for less services? Tried Desert ridge location and wow it was Horrible, for many reasons … learned similar management…. N Scottsdale location off Lone mountain & Desert Ridge locations? i shan’t return. Very sad. Desert ridge I’ll copy paste this review as your people gotta shut up during a service, stop selling and maybe get more training. My nose still hurts from her ineptness. —— Luckily I didn’t do any membership…. Omg avoid H&S I guess :(, but where does one go now?? Crap.

Severe lack of quality staff at this location. When I joined several years ago, there were multiple experienced massage therapists, making the monthly membership an ideal solution. This has changed with significant staff turnover. Only one therapist (Tomas) is well trained and he provides a great therapeutic service. Most customers have recognized this and Tomas is booked months in advance , making it impossible to use the membership service for massage. I would not recommend joining this spa.

Very disappointed in my conversation with staff member, Dana at the Hand and Stone near Lone Mountain in North Scottsdale. I was spoken to rather disrespectfully when I called to inquire about their services and any holiday specials. “There are no specials, only gift certificates “. I also asked what services they offered, microdermabrasion or dermaplaning, ? I was answered , “we don’t do dermaplaning so you can eliminate that”. With all the medical spas, and spa services that are available in the Scottsdale area, I think I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Not a kind place. They will arbitrarily perform services that were never agreed upon nor wanted and subsequently charge you for them. The ethics are so brutal it overshadows any service you received. Only go here if you want to be taken advantage of

I was given a gift card for Hand and Stone for my Birthday. My only complaint is If you want a massage you must book in advance. Same day appointments are not available. The first appointment I made over a week in advance was canceled a few hour prior to my appointment, due to the therapist being ill. When I arrived for my rescheduled massage Kate greeted me at the front desk and was very nice. The facility is easy to find and very clean. The therapist addressed my issues and it was a very good therapeutic massage and I definitely was feeling better when I left. I purchased 4 massages on their Christmas in July Promo for the entry price. I scheduled a massage over two weeks in advance. The therapist was pleasant and I it was a very relaxing experience. I look forward to my next appointment!

The only thing I do not think that dressing time and cleaning time should be counted in the massage or facial time allotted. That time should be covered by the business in its overhead expenses in my opinion. Other than that I would recommend this place.

Very rude office manager. Should always promote a comfortable experience even if I’m 5 mins late. And still provide options to reschedule. It’s called customer service.

Staff was very accommodating since I booked at the last minute, and made sure I received a full hour. I did ask for a full body massage with emphasis on neck and shoulders. The therapist did spend a good amount of time on the neck and shoulders but I didn't really feel like a full body massage was given. For example, I didn't get any face massage or front and back on legs. The massage was very light (Swedish) and I think I would have preferred a little bit more pressure. I was very tired and didn't ask but also was not told that this would be a very light pressure massage. In the future, I will be much more vocal about expectations and that will solve that!
