I forgot to post this in the moment, but I remembered when I passed the place today. I think it's very important to post this review, or I would simply leave it in the past... I am trying to be as polite as I can, and I'm not trying to defame or bash anyone. I'm simply reporting the facts; Facts that are emotionally charged, but facts nonetheless. For our anniversary last year, I bought a couples massage gift certificate from the Hand and Stone website. We went, showed the GC to the front desk, proceeded to get the massage, then went to settle up. After I paid with the GC, the worker informed me that the GC was for one person only, and that I owed for another massage. Confused, I ensured that the total amount of the GC was, indeed, applied. After that, I went to the website on my phone, and showed her that the website didn't clarify that the fee was only for one person. I also communicated that since there's obviously no need to charge people individually for a "couples massage" (because who gets a couples massage alone?), there must me a mistake or a mix-up. The worker looked super apologetic, and had obviously dealt with this exact issue before (which is wild), but said I needed to pay the other half. I was super polite, knowing that she doesn't set the prices, but showed her the site, and refused to pay more. I paid for the services rendered. She mouthed the words, "I'm sorry", and said she'd have to call the owner to come handle it. The owner came in, and to put it bluntly, she made a scene, and threatened to call the police. Even after I showed her what HER site said, and that there was NO indication that two GC needed to be purchased to get a couples massage, and even pointing out the ridiculousness of having to buy two "couples massages". She was nearly yelling at me, and telling me I should just pay, to avoid any more embarrassment for my wife, who was cowering on a chair in the waiting room. Using my wife's meek demeanor as a weapon INFURIATED me. She said she was going to call the cops, to which I told her I was looking forward to talking to them, because she was trying to scam me. I told her that we paid for the services rendered, and since there's no indication anywhere that I should have to pay twice the amount, the cops would merely bid me a good day. She "banned" us from the establishment, and we left. I had to console my wife for 10 minutes in the parking lot, even though she understood and didn't want to be scammed, either. Even though they've fixed the issue, and even though the cops were never called (obviously, because why would they be?), I still have screenshots of their website, as evidence. Anyway, the point of this complaint is not pricing (although if we paid what she wanted, I would certainly complain about how much we paid for what we got), quality of service, or even the nature of the employees. The complaint is all about the owner, who is by all evidence a nonsensical woman, who is heartless and without logic. To this day, I cannot recommend this place, and I tell anyone who'll listen to avoid it at all costs. Go somewhere that appreciates your business, and who will treat you right 10/10 times.. not when they think you deserve it, or when you give them what they want.

I have had two therapists here and both were wonderful. The staff booking your massage knows the team well and takes the time to select the massage therapist that best meets your needs. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners who were working in the spa, right with the team. You have to admire people that stay in touch with their people and their customers. So glad I treated myself!!!!

I’m telling you if you ever get the chance, get a massage with Mikayla! Her hands are next level & she needs those babies insured. She uses the right amount of firm pressure & puts me straight into a trance. She’s amazing!

I work a high stress job and hold my stress in my upper back and shoulders. I booked a last min deal on a Saturday, in effort to help with my stress level . I was placed with Noel , and it was literally the best massage I have ever had !! I had so many knots and he worked them all out . I like a firmer pressure , I like to know I had a massage . I joined their lifestyle program (which is no contract) so I can go back monthly at a reduced rate . Highly recommend!!

Hand and Stone has a customer for life here. I had an area in my back by my shoulder blade that bothered me for years. It got to the point I accepted the fact I'd be in pain for the rest of my life because no one could help me. Kelley worked out the problem in just a few sessions and I am now pain free!

Had my first massage at Hand and Stone today for some severe lower back pain and it was amazing! I prefer a higher pressure massage, and many places I've gone to in the past haven't used as much pressure as I've liked. My massage therapist, Molly, used a perfect amount of pressure and I feel exponentially better. She was very courteous, professional, and kind. I highly recommend!

I am a fan of Hand and Stone! From the moment I step foot inside, I am greeted by a warm and professional front desk staff. They always make sure I am taking full advantage of my membership benefits and are quick to address any concerns I may have. Their welcoming demeanor leaves a lasting impression. The experience continues with the therapists. I have never been disappointed with the massages I receive here, and I must give special recognition to Molly and Kirea for their exceptional skills. I want to mention Darcy for her outstanding facials. Her expertise in skincare and technique is truly top-notch. Overall, this is a spa to visit. They consistently deliver a relaxing experience, from the talented therapists to the friendly staff. I had my first facial at Hand and Stone. The staff are friendly and inviting. The aesthetician was very nice. She wanted to make sure the environment was relaxing to me and allowed me to adjust lighting and volume of the meditation sounds. She made sure I was comfortable and made adjustments during the process being very thoughtful how it felt when using an instrument. The pressure she used for the facial message felt really good. It was very relaxing. It was a fabulous break from the daily grind. I will go again and definitely recommend.

I want my money back. Been to this place a few times, nothing but hassle. Now I was accused of something that wasn’t on my mind or intent. Kinda messed up that you wouldn’t ban me if what she said was true. I used to do massage therapy and if someone actually did what I was accused of it’s an auto perma ban. Yet you offered to let me keep my membership, which means you have your doubts, which you should. I will never come back nor recommended anyone do. You have my number so you can call me and figure out how to give me my money back after ruining my “supposedly relaxing massage” that actually made me feel extra sick after being lied on. Ummm I’m a little confused Madison? Slightly offended and instantly sick to my stomach. I told you I was Christian I meant it. You’re a liar. Why is no response necessary, you don’t care about doing the right thing? It’s ts fine, there are many other massage places in Wichita. There’s only 1 me and everyone in my life comes to me for advice on this stuff, I used to recommend y’all cause of price. Though I warned of inexperience. No more recommendations.

I came in for my first facial. Rain did an excellent job keeping my comfortable and walking me through each step. Everything was clean and relaxing, and I loved the vibe. 10/10 recommend!

I have been getting massages from Hand and stone for a couple years now. I've had issues here and there with massages being shortened (about 40 min) because of they run behind sometimes. I have also shown up for my appointment I had scheduled with a massage therapist and was put with someone different because the other therapist was fired or quit. I wasn't told ahead of time or asked who I wanted to be put with so a couple times the massages were not very good. The last time I went was my biggest issue. I checked in and the woman at the front desk told me about some notes in the system about a deep tissue massage. I told her I didn't want deep tissue. I'm on a fixed budget and can't afford to deflect from that. The manager was standing right there and I also told her I didn't want deep tissue. When I went to pay for my massage I was told I'd be charged extra for a deep tissue because the masseuse said she did deep tissue which wasn't the case. I've had deep tissue before and I'd say she did a firm pressure but definitely not deep tissue. They charged me an extra $30 because of that. I've paid for deep tissue before in it was an extra $10 so I was pretty surprised when they said they would be charging me $30. The skincare products they carry are a hit and miss. I bought skin care set from them. The brand was Clarity and it was garbage. I am upset because I specifically let them know I didn't want deep tissue and now I am out $30 because they decided they would do as they pleased. After my gift cards are gone I will be going back to massage envy. I have never once had a problem with anything there.

I scheduled a massage and a facial for the first time at a business like this. Everybody was friendly and welcoming. The masseuse and esthetician were great. I did a massage and added hot stones. When I've had stones before theyve been added and still do massage with their hands. Half of the massage was with the stones. So it was relaxing but not what I'm used to and felt like it took away from actually getting a massage. Also I was called back late and by the time the massage started it was 409 after the hour. And the masseuse stopped at 455. So your paying for an hour massage and not actually getting a full hour. It was still a relaxing experience which is what I was after.

Madison was ahhhhmazing! A literal wizard of deep tissue massage - absolutely mastering her art. Start to finish was *chefs kiss* and when I left my headache was long gone. Thank you for my redemption massage and for bringing me back to life!! 🥹
