I was very disappointed today with my experience at Hand & Stone Spa at the Lake Nona location. I had another engagement before my massage appointment and decided to call and move my appointment time. My original appointment was at 11:00am and I called them at 9:42am to see if it was possible to move it. I was told it was not possible because the massage therapist was fully booked. I asked to move the appointment with any available massage therapist, but I was told everyone was fully booked. The lady on the phone explained to me that although I wanted to reschedule they were going to charge me a cancellation fee, I told her I did not wish to cancel my appointment I just wanted to move it to another time on the same day. I asked her how much is the cancelation fee and she said it will be half the price of the service I had scheduled, which was 129.95 for a Swedish massage. I'm not disappointed at the lady who I spoke to on the phone, I'm disappointed and unhappy because I had to leave and rush from my previous engagement to make the appointment and something that was supposed to be a relaxing and pleasant experience became a stressful one. Also, I did not like to see the pillow used during my massage laying on the floor at the end of my session.

Be careful! These guys charged me a monthly fee of $69.99 on Oct 1st despite freezing my account on Sept 10th. When I told them I'm not happy about that and want to cancel my membership- They wanted to charge me a cancellation fee. If I could I would given them a negative 5. Stay Away!!

These people are funny… I cancelled my plan and I had 2 packages left. I called to make an appointment but wasn’t able to get 2 appointments at same day. They said they would call me back. Time passed by… they did not call me. When I call them back they said i have no packages left because it has expired… excúseme! U said you would call me back and never said it would expire any time soon. Horrible!

They told me I couldn’t have a prenatal massage until 12 weeks (while I was all undressed and ready to go) when I rebooked and came back in 3 weeks later (on my birthday) they told me it was now 14 weeks, again, waited until I was actually undressed and ready to go. Zero communication and zero cares about wasting your time. They completely ruined my birthday present to myself and not one person cared or mentioned it. The manager didn’t even bother to come out to address the situation. I will never go back here again.

I don’t know if my therapist were tired by the time they massaged me but I’ve came here 3 times with 3 different therapist and all the massages seemed very superficial. They kept doing the same exact massage technique. Never switched it up, felt like they were rubbing my skin rather than my muscles. Also I don’t mind talking to the therapist during the session but when we did his attention came completely off of me. One lady I had didn’t do my quads at all when I asked for a full body massage. I hate to do this and I know you guys get a lot of customers but pls give your therapists less clients if they can’t give every client 100%

If I could give one star, I would. My MIL, SIL, and I booked three hot-stone massages for a relaxing afternoon. Not only did we not receive the hot stone massages, but we each had the worst individual massages of our lives. My MIL didn’t even flip over during hers. My SIL looked up whether they were operating without licenses because she was sure there was no way any school would’ve granted them a license. When I met the women up front and asked why we didn’t receive the hot stone treatment I’d booked, my massage therapist came out to the lobby and chewed me out saying it was MY responsibility to make sure during the massage that she gives me the upgrades I desire, and that the booking process doesn’t mean anything at their facility. Everyone just stared in disbelief as she chewed me out saying it was MY fault I didn’t get what I booked. In fact, the front desk woman insisted her manager would call me the next day… I’m sure you’re shocked to hear she never did. I can’t imagine how this place could ever have a repeat customer, and they most certainly lost three potential ones. Update: manager DID finally call back. She seemed pleasant, but wanted me to delete the review for a free massage. I declined, it is not worth it.

BEST SPA EVER!!!! Every time I come in I’m always welcomed with a smile and they always let me know if I’m able to do upgrades. The front desk and therapists here are great! I always feel like I’m on a cloud when I’m done 🫶

BEST SPA IN FLORIDA! I always have such an amazing experience here. Everyone is so kind and professional. I have been coming here for 6+ years and have yet to find a therapist I didn’t love. I really like that my massages and facials can be customized to me and my needs. I have seen such an improvement in my skin as well as muscle relaxation. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this spa to all my friends and family. Thank you Hand and Stone for everything you do. I love this place.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this spa to everyone. I was given a gift card back in December for a massage and it was an amazing experience. My therapist was Gloria and she did a great job catering to my needs and problem areas. Everyone was so attentive and helpful being that this was my first massage ever. Amazing experience at this location and will definitely be coming back. GREAT GIFT for others!

Unfortunately I had an ethical issue with this spa and when I address my safety concerns they canceled my membership instead of addressing the problem. I have 4 gift cards from hand and stone that I purchased for Black Friday and gifted to my husband and his brother. When my husband went to his message appointment they refused his service. So not only is the spa unsafe they are also punishing everyone in my home as a result. And please don’t call me to remove or delete this comment I will not. What you guys are doing is discrimination. You’re lucky I didn’t give details into my experience at your spa or the treatment I received after. I don’t recommend anyone to go to this spa.

I had the pleasure of receiving a massage from Olga, and the service was outstanding! It was my first massage, and it certainly won't be my last. Olga was incredibly detailed in explaining the process and made me feel very welcomed and cared for throughout.

Very bad customer service and management. I arrived to my appointment they claim they called me for cancellation but nobody called and informed me. I drove all the way 18 miles there and they look at my face without respect said that they cancelled my appointment. Very disappointing experience. I won’t recommend this place to any of my friends.

Jessica Kemp is one reason that I have been a member for so many years, she knows my schedule, my activities and she addressed my issues along with her concerns that will help with my issues on what to work on, she promotes the staff and the other services and I have used them regularly as well as the promotional deals that I have gifted to friends and family.
