My massage therapist, Jean, is such a blessing to me. I have chronic neck pain and I have visited many places for massage that were not effective in loosening up my neck and reducing pain. Jean does a fantastic job! My physical therapist recommended Hands on Health to me and I am so thankful.

I came to Hands on Health as one who received a massage about every three weeks. I was given a referral to this place by my physical therapist who knows how my body works and reacts to different stimuli. Ashley has been a very well liked masseuse that I am comfortable with. She knows how my body moves and really makes me feel relaxed. She always asks me how I’m doing this time period and is very knowledgeable in her techniques!!

I cannot say enough good things about my massage experiences with Tara! Not only is she incredibly skilled and compassionate as a therapist but she also provides you with knowledge to continue to work on pain points and areas of concern. I went to see Tara initially for chronic headaches and TMJ issues. From my first appointment, Tara consistently checked in with me and made me feel comfortable. She is truly in tune with the body and finds trigger points and areas that you never knew were tight or contributing to your pain. She helped teach me techniques and exercises to do at home and really is invested in seeing you feel and be better. Tara is truly an amazing massage therapist and feel lucky to have found her.

Amazing! I’ve been having issues with my jaw the past few months and after just one 30 min tmj session with Tara I have felt so much relief. If you are having problems with your jaw or anything at all go to them. Everyone at HOH is great :) you won’t regret it!

First visit to Hands On Health Massage and my experience was terrific. The lobby was very welcoming and staff was attentive. Michael did a wonderful job working on my neck, shoulders and upper back - always ready to hear feedback and adjust pressure accordingly. I felt super comfortable and relaxed - will definitely return and highly recommend!

So far the best deep tissue/trigger point massage I’ve ever had. So worth it!! Michael was very nice, knowledgeable, took the time to understand my problems, and was very intentional with his technique. I walked out with instant tension and pain relief, which I don’t always experience in other massages I’ve gotten.

Overall not horrible, I purchased 2 60 minute massages for my boyfriend and myself. My boyfriends was not so great. The therapist spent time focusing on painful trigger points and now his neck and back are in worse shape than before 2 weeks later. Not the type of experience that you go spend $100 for

Each of the massage therapists I visited in this practice has been very skillful and helpful. So far the best therapeutic massage for my rotator cuff injury was from Ashley, who really seems to understand injury physiology. I'm so glad to find a really professional practice for my bodywork and health needs!

First experience with Hands on Health today was a 90 minute deep tissue massage. While the massage was fine, it was actually only about 80 minutes which I found disappointing. I’ve been getting massages for decades in multiple states and everywhere I’ve ever been, a 90 minute massage was actually 90 minutes of work.

Great staff. Michael, my massage therapist, was friendly, attentive, and professional. He warmly welcomed my request to listen to my own music while getting a massage. I'd certainly rebook with them!

HOH is awesome, I went to Michael for about a month or so for a mild hip/glute issue and he really helped! He is super knowledgeable, a great listener, and always made me feel heard and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone in need of a great massage, whether its for a specific issue or just as a treat.

I asked the massage therapist for a deep tissue massage of my back and shoulders … well, she definitely was skilled at locating all the tension spots and knots; I can say that. It was the most painful deep tissue massage I’ve ever had. I kept thinking maybe it was hurting so much because I was especially knotted up, and I gritted my teeth. I should have spoken up. (Also, she probably should have checked in at least once to see how the pressure was.) My back and ribs have been sore for three days.

I just had a quick 30 min massage with Jeremy and he surely knows how to utilize the time. He is such an expert at what he does. Although I usually book longer sessions, he helped me so much in 30 mins. It is a testament to his knowledge and skill level. If all you can get is 30 mins,then take it,sooo worth it; especially with Jeremy. Thank you so much,my friend. :)

I went here months ago and received treatment after a car accident the entire STAFF was great I wish I could remember everyone name I worked with Sherry and she was awesome not only did she help with my recovery she also showed me techniques on how relax my muscles when tensed because of her I’m able to find my pressure points press down for 30 seconds to release tension from the muscle something I do often lol so glad I chose this place for treatment and I recommend anyone in need of good treatment to go here l…again thank you to the entire staff!!

I've been going here for a couple years and have always had a good experience. I've seen Barbara the last couple times and she's phenomenal. It's the most relaxed I've ever been during a massage. Highly recommend this place!

This is review is reflective about the business itself and not the massage therapists. I had a disappointing interaction with Hands on Health and can no longer recommend this business. In December 2019 my husband purchased a gift certificate for me as a gift. We all know what happened in 2020 and so the gift certificate sat unused. I didn't feel comfortable using it during COVID and then when things got a bit better, I didn't want to have to wear a mask during a massage. Recently, I figured I would use the gift certificate finally. I called the office to ask about it and was told it had expired. I was offered the NC Sate law of 40% of the original value. I understand that it has been a long time since it was purchased, but I am really disappointed in their handling of it. They would rather lose a customer than be accommodating given most of the time since it was purchased was during COVID. Needless to say, my husband now knows not to purchase gift certificates here anymore.

This is the best team of professionals in the area. They're very well educated massage therapists who understand the the complexity of the body. I've had a few different therapists and they're all great. They listen well and work with you to achieve what you're seeking.

This was a great experience! I’ve gone to other places for a massage and this by far was the best! I had Alex and she was amazing!! Very friendly and personable! She asked questions and made sure I was just comfortable! You can tell she really knows what she is doing and care about her clients! I will definitely be back soon! Love it! I had an incredible hot stone massage with Tammy Green. Before the session, she said if she feels something that needs worked out, she's going to work on it-- and she did. She knew what muscles needed relief, and was able to tell me what was going on with my body when I asked- which I love. I have already booked my next session!

I just received a 75 minute massage with Tom and immediately texted a local friend to tell her it was “life changing!” Wow! I have severe scoliosis that is currently inoperable and therefore deal with chronic lower back pain. Tom was absolutely incredible- professional demeanor and obvious expertise. If he can make my very problematic spine feel better, he can probably help anyone. Highly recommend.

The massage staff, specifically Dawn my therapist, are amazing. The reception is friendly and work with you to the best of their ability regarding scheduling. However, stay away from Tammy. Unbelievably unprofessional treatment toward me the client. She made several scheduling decisions without discussing them with me, leaving me having to spend time listening to her make excuses for her mistakes. If she would have just taken responsibility for mismanaging my appointments and sincerely apologized for canceling them that would have been the first step, second would have been to fix the mistakes. After asking her for help, she promised to hold an appointment until I touched base with her by the end of today, and then again took it upon herself to book that appointment for someone else before speaking with me. The ideal outcome, would have been to have two appointments on Monday, mine as originally scheduled with Dawn and to add my son anytime between 10 and 12:30. Preferably around the same time. She was holding an 11:30 for my son and then called to say they were able to get me back in with Dawn at 10:15. But for some reason removed the 11:30 she was holding?? I honestly don't know why. She went on to scold me for arguing with her, however I was simply trying to make appointments while she was scheduling over or canceling them and then blaming her misteps on me. In the middle of my asking her to please let me take the 10:15 appointment and try to get back my son's 11:30, she hung up on me. Please remedy this once and for all... I would like to continue seeing Dawn, she is worth this incredibly frustrating experience. Any new clients, you may want to reconsider this practice, unless you want more stress than a massage could relieve.
