I went for boho knotless back in March after being referred by my sister who had been going here to get her hair braided for awhile. I loved my results! I was asked to bring my own curly hair (which most shops I reached out to said the same thing) and they provided the braiding hair. I do have a lot of hair, so I can’t say I left the shop under 5 hours, but I have seen that a lot of instagram stylists also mention on their sites that boho knotless are considered a lengthy service. I received so many compliments! With using curly hair (human, mix, or synthetic) you HAVE to keep it up! A tip for those who decide to use mix or synthetic, use hair spray to keep up with the curl and avoid some tangling/shedding. I used human hair, so I used regular curly hair products that I use on my own hair (mousse and curly gels). I kept my hair in for a little over 2 months and still loved the looks. I wouldn’t recommend keeping it in that long due to the take down process, but I definitely got my money’s worth! I am going back today for regular knotless, this is now my go to braiding shop for knotless.

I will never and I do mean never go back to this shop again! Customer service sucks and they don’t do what you ask! I went here in 2022 and the young lady that did my hair did an awesome job! I left there feeling like a peacock! Fast forward to 2024 not so much left feeling like a buzzard! Braids cost more and look like trash! I told her I did not want my scalp exposed look like pin head by the head! Twist to thin and haven’t even had them a week and one has fallen out! I paid 195 in 2022 and the look was awesome this time 250 and the braids are straight trash!!! When I say I will never ever ever ever ever go back to this shop again!!!

The owner was so very gracious with me and so nice, however I felt like because I came on a Sunday they did a very RUSHED job. I am NOT happy with my hair. I went in for Boho Knotless and instead of being told to bring my own hair AFTER having conversation via text with owner, I had to use what was available in the salon which I wasn’t happy about. I’ve seen and met plenty of people who have had their boho knotless done by Happy Hair and I feel like mine could’ve been done a lot better. The boho hair is shedding SO much and it’s because they did not secure it within my braids properly. I’ve had boho knotless before and NEVER had this much shedding. Full pieces are coming out of my hair as I put it up in a ponytail. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. Do not go on a Sunday!

My experience at Happy Hair has always been great. Tiggy the owner does a great job with my styles. Laska also does a great job with my styling my hair the way I request. Yes, the prices have gone up since I've started going to Happy Hair 3 years ago, but everything has gone up! Ask for Tiggy or Laska for a great hair experience!

All the bad reviews had me nervous but when I tell you my experience was great! I sent her a picture of the style I wanted and she did a wonderful job. Happy hair you gained a new customer. I will be returning for my braided hair styles.

I used this salon a few times in the past. I’ll start by saying the owner is very friendly and they work fast. Those are the only positive things that I have to say. The first time I got knotless box braids was fine, even took my daughter. The second time I got a high ponytail. Night mare! 1. It was braided entirely too tight. I had big red welts everywhere and they cut my hair when cleaning up with the scissors. So much so that I had to cut several inches off my hair to even it out. That was a year ago. Last week we were going on vacation and my normal braider was booked :( …. Happy Hair was the only place I could get in to before we left. Nightmare. Despite requesting her not braid too tight, she did. I was so uncomfortable, I took the braids down after 6 days. Big chunks of hair came out my head. My scalp is still so sore despite taking them down and welted up. It’s ridiculous. If you value your hair or are looking for “protective” styles, don’t go here. They will wreck your hair. It took 4 hours for a ponytail! 4 hours! My daughter got knotless box braids in the same length of time. Never will I go back. Ever.

I wanted cornbraids but only 1 person does that and she was not there I settled for knotless braids that I had to redo in 3 weeks .. Waste of time and money

I set an appointment yesterday afternoon for a 9:30 am cornrows into a low ponytail. I arrived at 9:40am late myself. I left at 10:10 am my Braider never showed. I was told 15 mins after being there for 15 mins. Stylist don’t appreciate clients time anymore.

I was patronizing this salon for over a year and I was satisfied. However, got my knotless braids in April and my braids were very mess looking- and unacceptable! I will not be returning.

Like them and have been going for years. They are clean, provide hair and do goid work. Just be sure to say exactly what you want. Downside they talk mostly in their language and use English only when speaking to customers.

Long story short they agreed to do the style I sent them days in advance and when I arrived no one was able to complete my desired style. I understand they have to physically see the clients hair to determine what they can do but if no one was able to complete my style exactly like the picture I sent days in advance, that should have been communicated. I’m all for supporting small or black owned businesses but I wish they would’ve compensated me for having to stay an additional two hours due to something they caused. They owner was nice but after having a total three people attempt do my style I’m not surprised.

Unprofessional place. I set up an appointment a few days ago to get my hair retwisted. When I showed up the person I set up an appointment with wasn't there. But they said that somebody will attend me in 15 minutes. After waiting 45 minutes, I walked out. I waited 45 minutes for nothing. What was the point of having an appointment I wasted my morning.

First she tried to over charge me then my hair is 3 different length they did a half fast job cause they wanted to leave this happen on Sunday on the 9th 2022 I don’t recommend this salon to anyone

I was overcharged for a style that took less than 30 min. My hair was done by Kaddy who did not do it as I wanted it she did it the way she "did other people's hair for this style" she refused to fix it to satisfy me. Blocked my calls& messages. Everyone head shape and texture is different and style should be customized as such The hair was too heavy. I lost sleep and wasted money. I only kept the style a week. I hated it. Never go there. Poor customer service

Make sure that they write your appointment down. Best time is earliest appointment like 8:00 am otherwise you'll get in where they fit you in. But...they always do a good job with braids.

The staff is extremely rude especially when the owner is not present. They tried to overcharge for box braids and kept telling me different prices. Some of the parting for braids weren't straight or even. Wouldn't recommend this place!

Yes they do hair really good but appointment or walking in, don’t plan anything else for the day because they talk a lot and get distracted so it ends up taking a lot longer than expected. I’ve been hair 3 times and I would recommend having the manager do the hair, otherwise you’ll be there all day
