I don’t usually go to a salon but this time I wanted something more stylish, Mai cut my hair and surpassed my expectations. She did a top notch job, the place has a cool and chill vibe. Love it, will absolutely return and will definitely ask for Mai again!

I had a great experience with Mai for Japanese head spa. She is so professional and did a great job in scalping massages my hair was so soft and smell so good. My scalp was so clean and moisturized after the session. Highly recommended!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had such a great experience at Hazuki Hair Salon! Mai was incredible—she really took the time to understand what I wanted and nailed it. I’m so happy with the result! She’s got an eye for detail and made the whole process so easy and fun. The vibe at the salon is really welcoming too, which made me feel right at home. If you’re looking for a fresh cut, definitely ask for Mai. She’s amazing!

I hate my haircut. he literally removed 50% of my hair when I wanted it thinned out, but it was too much! I couldn’t say no or stop so it was partly my fault. The cut was too short, layers are bad. I’m mortified. I look like chuckie, I just paid and left and going to tie my hair for the next 6 months

I might have just had the worst haircut of my life.. when I entered the studio (albeit late) Taka didn't greet me and proceeded to chat with other staff. When cutting my hair, even though I had product in it (including hairspray) he went ahead and tried combing it out (which wasn't pleasant). He cut out big chunks of my hair that didn't align with the existing style even though I asked for a trim. He shaved my eyebrows (which I thought was nice for him to offer) and he left a chunk out of my left eyebrow. In addition, when washing my hair, my whole back was soaked with water. He didn't really apologise or offer a towel until I asked for one. Lastly, he cut out a few chunks of hair in the back so now my hair line is uneven.. I'm assuming that other negative comments might be related. For reference I requested a simple mens trim. I've been to Hazuki a few times and I'm definitely going to a different stylist..

Mai gave me exactly the cut I didn’t know I needed! She made the whole experience super comfortable and easy, and I love how it turned out. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for a fresh look without the fuss.

First time getting Head Spa & Treatment. Taka was very professional, gentle, and very good at head massages! My hair has been revitalized. Amazing experience and will definitely be coming back! I highly recommend this salon.

Got a head spa treatment for my (self-gifted) birthday gift. It's worth every penny! The treatment is heavily rely on hand massage with your choice of hair oil (mine was rose), and it was HEAVENLY!

The head spa here is amazing, I felt so much lighter and refreshed after the massage. They also have high tech cameras for your scalp so you can see the results! Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to Hazuki for 3 years now to get my hair done and not once has it been a bad experience. Each time I request Keiji because he is so skilled at getting my wavy hair shaped in the right way, as well as just being sweet and personable. He remembers exactly what I got done the last time I was there and I feel that makes each experience so much better. Also, the way they do washes and head/shoulder massages here feels like the perfect self care day. I would highly recommend coming here especially for Keiji while he’s still here :)

Walked in here thinking I was going to get a simple trim/cut. But walked out with the worst hair cut of my entire life. I explained how I wanted to keep my hairstyle but make it shorter. Showed him pictures and explained what I wanted in detail. I had short hair already and it was a bit shaggy up to my sholders. I trusted the process but was in shock at the final result. He gave me a borderline pixie cut. It has so many layers in the back that it looks like a bowl cut - literally mom cut vibes. Looking at the reviews I'm seeing other women walk out with a bowl cut and it not be what they wanted. I dont think this location knows how to cut short hair so please be aware of this if you have short hair.

Great spot. A little rustic with modern touch and it’s feels like Brooklyn inside. Love the small Japanese shop. The stylish is so friendly and everyone here too. The haircut they provided is amazing on top of the service. It seems like it’s best to make appointments and weekend doesn’t seem to be busy. It’s great spot to get a haircut and have a great conversation.

After many years searching for my hair cutting/ NYC salon spot, I am happy to say that I am sticking with Hazuki Hair Salon. The environment is hip, it smells beautiful and everyone working there looks cool as hell. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you Samer B for the great hair cut. ❤️

Had a great cut, styling and blowout by Samer! They really knew how to frame my face with my bangs and give me recommendations on how to take care of my hair. They’re so good I came back to do the 5 step hair treatment and now my dry hair feels like real hair again! Highly recommended

Came here for a men’s perm and cut. They were meticulous, friendly, and skilled. Their location is behind a few store fronts so it took me a while to figure it out. Otherwise, my hair came out exactly as I had hoped.

Hazuki salon is great! A gem place that knows how to handle thick Asian hair very well and does it right every time. Samar cut my thick hair down to a breeze, exactly what I asked for and so fun to talk to!

I got a really bad haircut here a couple of months ago. I was dying in the chair, halfway through I just got this sinking feeling like I know it’s going to be ruined, like a car crash in slow motion. I brought pictures and tried to use lots of descriptive language but there was unfortunately a huge language barrier and the stylist seemed extremely unconfident and also like they had never held a pair of scissors before. A very weird experience. I asked for a modern shag (a very basic and popular hairstyle nowadays) and I got a Brady mom bowlcut. A BOWLCUT.
