Luis is amazing with natural curls! I’ve tried expensive curly cuts, high end salons, etc. and he just knew what my hair needed after a very brief conversation. He understood what I wanted and delivered just that, also while prioritizing the length I wanted to keep and my relatively low-effort routine. Also, my entire appointment (including diffusing) was only 45 minutes, which is unheard of. Apart from the cut, Luis has a very calm but fun demeanor, so it really feels like all are welcome in his chair. I’m so glad I found my curl expert in ATL, and I’ll be back soon enough!

Luis made me feel so comfortable! He made sure what I wanted and executed it beautifully ! I got a haircut and blow out and I left feeling amazing. He did such a wonderful job that I took my niece who has super curly hair to get a haircut. She loved it as well !

Absolutely LOVE visiting Luis! He takes such great care of my curls! My hair always looks healthy and full every time I visit . He is also extremely professional yet very warm and friendly. I also received a blowout a few months back and there was no heat damage to my hair whatsoever. Would definitely recommend Luis for ALL of your curly hair needs!

I was in desperate need for some help with my curly hair. After almost a year of no real maintenance, I was tired and overwhelmed. Luis was super sweet and took the best care of my hair. By default I had a full self-care experience! My hair came out of the salon bouncy and full of life!! So many ppl have commented on my hair. Overall amazing and highly recommend!!

Luis has saved my hair time and time again. He really understands my curl needs, and ever since he cut and colored my hair, I haven't gone to anyone else. Even after leaving Atlanta and moving away, I have come back just for him to cut my hair. Specifically, I want to talk about his color services. He really loves to go for a natural look if that's your vibe. My color has lasted me over a year at this point, and it looks lived-in and beautiful. I can't recommend him enough.

Luis is a God-send for my curls. I have NEVER had a haircut that has maintained it's shape AND kept my curls intact for 6months. What I love most about Luis's is that he takes his time, cares with the principles of his knowledge and expertise while still approaching my hair as a unique blend of characteristics. From experience, I HIGHLY recommend Luis for cut, style, and general maintenance. While I'm not a color girlie anymore, I would absolutely let him give my hair some love with those services too.

Luis is incredible. Super personable, takes time to listen to his clients and clearly highly skilled. I actually had to search my email to figure out the last time I had a balayage service done: his last easily 6+ months (as long as you take care of it) and my cuts/color always grow out beautifully.

Luis is not curl educated. This was a learning experience. I went in asking just to add some shape to my curly hair but wanted to keep my length, yet I left with 4+ inches cut off my hair. There was no need to cut off as much as he did. I'm very sad because I’ve have grown out my hair for 5 years. After I went home and restyled it, it was so short!! He styled it before I left and it was frizzy. It’s crazy how much length I lost knowing I had healthy. I was wanting some layers while retaining the length and got the complete opposite. Very disappointing experience.

Luis was absolutely amazing! I am a curly girl with thick low porosity hair and it’s been a journey to find a stylist that can manage my hair in its natural state since I’ve moved back to ATL. He shaped my hair so well — best hair cut of my life and was able to style my hair the best I’ve ever seen. My curls were popping when I left the salon. If you’re a natural curly girl like me with thick hair I’d HIGHLY recommend Luis! I can’t wait to go back for my next cut.

My experience with Luis was fantastic! It had been way too long since my last haircut and he worked some magic to bring my flat, fine hair back to life. The space is so peaceful and relaxing and the shampoo and head massage felt like a spa experience. I will definitely be back!

I started seeing him at another salon a little after he moved to Atlanta, and I was so happy to continue being his client when he started Hair Designs by Luis! I have thick curly hair, so after struggling to find a hairdresser that could style, cut, and color my hair while also taking care of my hair health, Luis was a god-send. Recently attended Luis’s Master Airtouch balayage class and it was GAME CHANGING. He makes it look so easy and explains everything he does with such ease helping me learn every step of the way. To know your craft inside out the way Luis does is so inspiring! Look at the outcome from the class! Literally hair goals!
