The stylist who is helping me fix my hair strongly recommended for me to write a review on my experience. I reached out to Haylee for a consult after seeing her post on FB asking for clients. I originally wanted to do highlights and match up with my little bit of gray. When I arrived to my consult, she put the apron on me. I gave her my background on my hair including my texture and history. I told her I did not want highlights that I had decided I wanted to do balayage and I showed her some pictures. She asked to do a partial. I did not know why she only wanted to do a partial and she did not explain what that was. I thought maybe she was pressed for time. When she finished over 3 hours later. My hair was black and I had green tinted highlights in the Mohawk section. I had a Mohawk of ugly highlights and black hair. With fine hair, it grabs color more than course hair. The level she placed all over my head and left on for an hour and a half turned my brown natural hair to black. I’m traumatized to say the least. I only wanted a consult, but her placing the apron me set a tone for I was to receive services today. It just made me feel like I needed to have services bc she came in to see me. I now have to wait a long time for this black to fade the little it will and to have what I wanted to begin with. She got black hair dye on my arm and left it an inch around my hair line all over my head for so long and did not even try scrub it off that I was stained for days. She did not rinse it all out of my hair, I had to go back to the bowl. She burned my scalp 2/3 times she rinsed me with hot water and also with the blow dryer, all at the frontal area. I am far from tended headed or sensitive, the water was scolding and she held the dryer too close for too long. I’ve learned lots of lessons from this appointment. Ultimately, the reason for this review is so that Haylee can learn from it to be a better stylist and concentrate on listening to her clients wants and making sure there is an understanding. You can’t simply just fix what some do with one visit. This is going to take a long time. As a healthcare professional, my patients trust me with my education and knowledge. I placed that same trust in Haylee and it is unfortunate what happened. I’m extremely saddened.

I had a wonderful experience at this salon today. Candice is great!! I love her attention to detail and my hair looks amazing and so much healthier! All of the other stylists were very nice and welcoming. Highly recommend this salon!!

Have been going to Ashley awhile now. I have curly hair and she is one of the only ladies that has ever been able to cut it right. Friendly, professional, salon is always clean, and I feel is reasonably priced. Don’t take a chance with a “beginners” salon. Give Ashley or her partner at “HD” a chance. You’ll be thankful you did.

Very happy after my first visit with Ashley. She gave me a new style that works better with my hair type and my face shape and made sure I knew how to style it once I got home. I'll definitely be back!

Shannon is amazing! I have A LOT of curly hair and when I have had my highlights done in the past, it has been over a 4 hour process. Shannon gets me in and out in about an hour and a half and it looks stunning afterwards. I highly recommend Shannon and HD Hair Studio. The salon itself is clean and super cute. You won’t be disappointed!

Love HD Hair Studio! My AMAZING hairstylist, Lauren, joined the HD Hair Studio crew earlier this year, and I am glad she did! The women are friendly and the salon is immaculate. I highly recommend Lauren Boykin as she has been doing a FANTASTIC job on my hair for over three years and I am always receiving compliments on how great my hair looks.
