Bernice is great. I had been frustrated with a few hair cuts with bad layers. I went to Bernice to clean it up and give me a fun easy to manage style. Now, I get lots of compliments on my hair cut and color.

It's a house, a little hard to find because the sign outside isn't too noticeable. But inside, the decor... my god, it's gorgeous. I was oogling the place the whole time. They have coffee, and cookies, and candy. I also like the Redken products they use. My sister and I got haircuts together at this salon a little while back. The owner of the place cut my sister's hair, while some new girl cut mine. They were both very sweet and attentive. I can't remember their names now! They washed our hair, we watched TV during the conditioning. Then we were offered glasses of wine for during the haircut. AWESOME! They placed us near one another, and the both of them chatted with us the whole time. It was really nice, but "asian glow" and my disorientation without glasses made me feel a little strange. Truly fun, glam experience if you're looking to go for a spa day with girlfriends.

I love this place. I have been going to Nina for longer than I have lived in San Jose, and I can't conceive of going anywhere else. She is an artist.
