I moved to San Francisco two years ago but always struggled to find a hair stylist that was affordable and could give me a satisfying haircut. I was so desperate for a good cut that I’d fly back home to Texas any time I needed one. Needless to say, I am so, SO happy that I found Headprint and Chadd. He is kind, listens well, and delivers exactly what you want. I also love the ambiance of the salon — everyone is warm and welcoming. Here’s to my two year search for a stylist coming to an end. 🥂 Thank you, Chadd and Headprint!!

I got a scissor cut from Rainey and it was a great experience! I’m in the process of growing out my short, super-processed style and I needed guidance on how to best proceed. He listened carefully to my needs and concerns and gave me a great cut. On top of that, he was super friendly and easy to talk to and we had a great conversation! It was a great experience all around, I’ll def be back.

I wanted to support queer hairstylists and finally bite the bullet and get a mullet, and I’m glad I chose to do so with Rainey! Rainey asked great questions, listened to what I wanted, and checked in a lot during the cut to make sure I liked where things were going. The cut was super cute and choppy/textured, like I envisioned.

Booking online was easy. I booked with Chadd after seeing some great reviews here. I honestly didn’t give much direction for the cut (I only knew that I wanted a trim while still keeping most the length, and let him know that I don’t really style or blow dry), but he took what I gave and I left leaving super happy! Been a few weeks and still satisfied with the much-needed trim. I also appreciate that he didn’t force small talk either- seems he’s good at picking up the vibe of what the client prefers :) thank you so much for the excellent cut and I look forward to getting my color done here the next time!!

Got a haircut from Rainey and loved the experience! They gave me a clipper and scissor cut and did great with both. I have curly hair (3A-3B) and usually end up with either a nice fade or scissor cut but Rainey managed to do both. The additional shampoo and styling really tied it all together. 10/10 would recommend!

I was looking for a new hairdresser and came to Chadd because of all the AMAZING reviews. They do not lie. He did an incredible job with my color and then was a great consultant on deciding what to do next. He goes out of his way at every chance he gets, even special ordered supplies for a beach wave perm! The studio has a good vibe and I love being treated to Aveda tea.

Caroline has been cutting, coloring, and styling my hair for over 10 years, and she’s amazing! She really listens to what I want and always delivers exactly the look I’m hoping for. Chadd was so excellent and could not have done a better job. I haven’t had a real haircut in awhile and I did not feel judged at all. Hes someone you can commit to hehe. My hair hasn’t looked better. Hes so gentle and Headprint has a calm environment where everyone is respectful and I’m able to relax.

Every time I walk into Headprint I am welcomed in the warmest way. Teddy makes everyone feel like family. It’s the best! I had a service with Caroline who is a literal hair wizard. I asked for blonde blonde blonde (is there anything else?) with a freshen up cut with layers. Its was gorgeous and was still giving gorge for months after my visit. SoCal is where I live but SF is where my heart is and I will let only Caroline coif me. She’s been my stylist for 10 years and will continue to be fo lyfe. If you're in need of product I always pick up my aveda faves in the salon and then stroll around the corner for coffee and Sephora for the perfect day ☀️ I love Headprint 🩷 Thank you Caroline!

I’m in love with my haircut from Rainey. My curls have been poppin perfectly since I saw him. He’s not only good at cutting, but also has excellent communication skills and is clearly invested in ensuring the client is getting exactly what they want. I had a general idea with a picture but wanted some modifications I couldn’t put words. Rainey quickly worked through it with me by asking the right questions and patiently explaining different options that would work for my hair type. All the while smiling and full of humility and sweetness. I can’t recommend him enough.

i’ve gone to head print studios i believe 3-4 times, and the first time i went, chadd cut my hair. LET ME TELL YOU I’VE NEVER FELT SO COOL, great listener and and if i don’t know any of the terms he explains it to me. Chadd is amazing at his work, very nice and welcoming. he listens to what you have in mind. 100% recommend !

Everyone at the Cow Hollow studio are super welcoming and friendly when you arrive. I was booked for a blowout service with Rainey who was absolutely fantastic. This was my first time getting this kind of service done & he made me feel so comfortable through the process. They walked me through all the products being used, how to use them, answered all my questions about the techniques to achieve a similar look at home. 10/10 I will be booking another service with Rainey in the very near future. I had an appointment for a perm with Chadd, and had a wonderful experience all the way through. Not only was Chadd responsive, accommodating, and professional, he was able to work off of a very vague description of what my target look was and made sure I was comfortable with everything being done. I highly recommend Chadd to any men looking to do perms, or any other style of hair. I look forward to the next time I get my perm done!

Rainey did an amazing job with my blowout. He began with a wash and just the little bit of scalp massage was so relaxing. My hair is so shiny and smooth and has just the right amount of curl. I don’t usually do blowouts but this is changing my mind. Thanks Rainey!

Headprint is incredible. Everyone is so, so welcoming and stylish that I know I could bring any type of friend here and they would have an awesome cut/color experience. I've been getting my hair done for 2+ years now at Headprint (gone blue to copper, long to short, blunt cut to wispy layers) and each visit I leave feeling more myself. Taylor in Cow Hollow is such a wonderful, talented and patient color specialist (blue to copper is a FEAT) and truly has that rare kind of magic to make you leave her appointments feeling (and looking) incredible. I've also started getting awesome cuts from Mick in Castro who has taken me from the most precise blunt cut to a romantic, and edgy layered cut that is so, so easy to style I don't have to do much at all to get that look I wanted. I HIGHLY recommend Headprint to everyone. Teddy has really made something special here, and as someone who knows the impact hair can have on how they move in the world, I'm so lucky to have found it.

I can't express enough how amazing Katrina is! She truly takes the time to understand your vision and helps you shape it into exactly what you want for your session. I was unsure about which shade of copper would suit me best, but Katrina guided me through the options, explaining the differences with such care and expertise. I’m absolutely OBSESSED with how my hair turned out, and I've been receiving so many compliments! The whole team at Headprint Studio is warm and welcoming. The whole salon has a cute and welcoming vibe and everyone is super nice which is why i love coming here! Just left the salon and a woman passing by on the street gushed over my hair. I told her kudos go to Caroline who has both cut and colored my hair. Caroline has an amazing talent with color — balayage, normal highlights, and root touch ups. You can safely put yourself (your hair) in her hands.

Rainey is so generous in not only their talent but also their supreme spirit. I never have felt more at home with someone cutting my hair, and I knew that once they were finished we would both be happy. I am in awe of their ability to be communally attentive to my needs and desires, while being especially attune to hesitations that I brought to the visit. And by the end, I had all forgotten about my cosmetic insecurities because I was so obsessed with my own hair.

Recently got my haircut with Rainey and loved it! They were so sweet, very gentle with my hair and I could tell was very passionate about hair cutting! I almost fell asleep (which is usually a good sign). Would recommend coming here and getting a nice haircut, its been roughly two weeks and my hair looks great still! Caroline has been amazing since day one! I went to her when I wanted to change my hair from natural black to bright pink. She did an amazing job with the transformation and all the up keep appointments I attend to maintain it. She adjusted the process since I have a sensitive scalp which I am so grateful for.
