Everything about Healing Hands is FANTASTIC! I'm someone who typically goes to the most expensive spa and overspends on massages. Healings hands is $1 a minute and the best deep tissue I have ever gotten (by Lee). They are so respectful, send you a reminder before your appt and also take Venmo which is always nice. I wish I started coming here sooner. Now I do a 90 min deep tissue every other week! 10/10!!

Had a great massage from Mina. I came in with some soreness and she was able to adjust the pressure so that I felt like I made progress towards getting better without experiencing any pain.

Very nice people, clean space, however “fully body” was more like a back massage and didn’t cover the body. Also, painful, will visit again, but be more specific in what I am looking for

Just came from my first visit and was very satisfied with the service! I did a deep tissue full body for $60/60 minutes then decided to add on another 30 minute for $30, totaling $90. Jessica was my masseuse and was very thorough with deep pressure as I had requested. The language barrier did not impede the service as she understood basic phrases and also had a translator app on deck for smooth communication. The building itself is not as fancy as other spas, but you get great service at a great price. I tipped about 30% since she did such a careful job and made me feel very valued as a customer if that’s any indication of how satisfied I left. These places can be very hit or miss depending on who you get, but major props to Jessica!

My partner and I recently had a couples massage, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences we’ve had. For context, we get massages regularly, about once or twice a month. Both therapists lacked technique and made us question their qualifications. They were extremely rough, and seemed unmotivated. Instead of using proper techniques, they relied heavily on their knuckles and elbows-resulting in an uncomfortable, painful and potentially dangerous experience. In particular, the therapist working on my partner used his knuckles directly on my partner’s spine without sensing or even addressing the muscles and points of tension/ soreness. Overall, it left much to be desired in terms of both comfort and quality. To add to the disappointment, we still tipped 20%, and the therapists seemed ungrateful, which only made the experience feel worse. It goes without saying we won’t be returning.

Just had a 60 min deep tissue massage here and I felt so much better leaving than when I first went in. This is a no frills $1/min massage place. I so happened to stumble across Healing Hands while researching for a massage place, but I saw multiple similar establishments while walking down South Street. If you’re looking for a massage to get out those knots and relieve any tension, then this is the place. If you’re looking for a more luxurious experience, I would go elsewhere. They do ask for payment up front upon entrance, which I didn’t have a problem with. It’s cash only, I’m not sure if they accept other forms like Zelle or Venmo, but you can always call and ask. Tip is for sure cash only. The room was decently clean and quiet. Mina was my massage therapist and she was amazing! I asked her to focus on my shoulders and back and she totally understood the assignment. She even mentioned multiple times how tight my back was and regularly asked if the pressure was okay. 60 minutes wasn’t enough time for a full body massage considering how tight my back was, but Mina did communicate this with me and I was okay just focusing on that area. Will definitely return here if I find myself back in Philly.

Always a relaxing and reinvigorating experience. I see Mina. She’s so friendly and always checks in with you every so often to make sure the pressure is still good. Makes you feel amazing after. Great prices, everyone’s friendly. Go here if you want a massage- so happy I found it.

I had a really good massage here and I had a really, really bad one as well, it's a mixed bag. The first time I had a super good massage, I tipped really well and willingly. The second time when I returned, I had very bad massage and left with a sore hurting neck and back. I repeatedly kept asking the therapist to stop going too hard, it seemed the person doing it was new and not as well trained as the first person I had. On my way out I was asked to tip, which I did not want to, as I paid 90$ already for a 90 min massage I wanted to end early, and left hurting, so I ended up paying 100$ for a massage that left me hurting. Just come with caution as it could be good, but it also good be bad as well and you might still be asked to tip regardless.

You'll leave feeling like a new person. First time trying it based on Google/Reddit reviews and it did not disappointment. I've been to a few massage places in Philly and they do not compare in quality and price. Straightforward place, cash/venmo only. Emily is INCREDIBLE. She has years of training and is extremely professional and respectful. Also a very sweet lady. If there's anything you don't want worked on just let the therapists know in advance. They also check in on pressure and comfort every so often. I don't know how she was able to keep such firm pressure consistently for a hour! She got out knots I didn't even know I had. While I didn't pinpoint any target areas specifically to work on, she could feel my sore spots and got them out within the hour. 10/10 experience. Would high recommend this gem on South Street. Definitely coming back soon!!!

Angela knew what she was doing. She hit all of the minor muscle groups in my back & really spent the time to work out the knots. She checked in with me periodically to make sure the pressure was at a comfortable level for me. I’ll be going back to see Angela for sure!

Simple and straightforward, but clean, inviting and relaxing. $1/min massage. Woman at the reception desk was friendly and attentive. Checked to make sure I was okay with a male masseuse. Open 7 days a week, 10a-10p. Right on South St, near it all. But definitely worth going out of the way for as well.

This place is a hidden gem. I've had many massages, paid lots more money but this place is among the best ever. Modest but clean, no frills, just a store front place on South. I've had 2 massages here that were amazing- strong hands, pressure was perfect. I'm booking another for tomorrow and just had to leave a review.

Was recommend by a buddy and I was blown away. One of the best massages I’ve had, I’ve gone multiple times for 90mins and I’m blown away at how she was able keep up a strong massage for that period of time. I will continue to go back regularly!

I just had a wonderful massage with Bella. I asked for deep tissue - and she checked often to make sure I was OK. The pressure was perfect - sometimes it was intense, but I like it that way. This place is no frills but I was very impressed with the quality of the massage. The first half was through the sheet then oil was used later. I intended to go for just an hour but requested another half hour and got it. Very satisfied. Price was extremely reasonable.

Linda went above & beyond! The pressure was persistent throughout the entire hour. Other spas will massage for 15 mins & rub me down the rest of time but not here! I am leaving extremely relaxed & happy! I have tried two other massage places on South Street, one had a foul oder coming from the bed & there was constant interruptions. Healing hands is definitely the best in the area & got a loyal customer out of me.
