I have thick, long hair and Dewi is the best hair service I've ever had! I ask for long layers haircut, wash and style and she finishes within 1.5 hours- a record time for me since I have so much hair. She is thorough, makes sure she gives me the exact style I want, and has extremely fair prices. She is the best in NYC!

Dewi gives a great haircut. I go for a men’s haircut every few weeks. She gives great recommendations for my hair, as well as thorough tips on how to style it and which products. My hair always looks great after a visit. I’d highly recommend.

Dewi is the best. I've been getting my hair cut by her for over a year. I have short hair and her attention to the lines is amazing. I just had her do a color toner on my hair and the results were exactly what I wanted. And she's the nicest person on top of that. I couldn't be happier.

I was so happy to have found Dewi at The Heels n Boots Hair Studio. I was undecided on a hairstyle, and she spoke with me for quite a long time and then gave me her honest suggestions. I could not be happier with the result. Not only is Dewi a great hair stylist, but she is also a pleasure to deal with. I recommend her without reservation!

If you’re looking high and low for a new hair dresser, stop looking and make an appointment ASAP with Dewi. My longtime hair dresser who I trusted and traveled to CT for was on maternity leave so I desperately needed a haircut and color consultation (I had a very outgrown balayage). Out of desperation, I went to a Fox and Jane for a quick cut until I could find someone more reliable and consistent to my liking and TRUST ME when I say I instantly regretted wasting my time and money there. I ended up finding Dewi via several recommendations on Reddit and her stellar Google reviews. I was a few mins late to the appointment despite her salon being really easy to find and get to (subway troubles). But I’ve never been to relieved and comfortable to be getting a haircut as Dewi made sure we discussed my hair history and what I wanted for my cut and future color if I were be a returning client. Dewi, not only informed me on how my Fox and Jane cut was not layered like I had requested and thought, but she helped me achieve the layered look I wanted while blending in the remaining balayage in my hair without even coloring anything. It flows so naturally and I suggest everyone to RUN not walk to Heel n Boots as she is a pro and knows exactly what she’s doing. She’s also super funny and carried our conversation as if we had know each other for years. Dewi saved me and I can’t wait for my next appointment with her! 🥰

I have lived in NYC for 11 years and in that time have been through 50+ barbers and hair stylists. I have very unruly hair and it’s frustrating to get the look I’m looking for. Typically they will give me what I want on the first couple of haircuts, but then somewhere along the way; it ends up wrong. And I find myself back on the hunt. I met Dewi during the pandemic on an app where she’d come to your home. After that hair cut I have stayed completely loyal to her and haven’t looked back. Now 4 years working with her, she still gives me exactly what I ask for. And I have seen her grow her salon and followed from a number of locations and seen her outgrow a variety of spaces. She’s excellent, highly recommend! She’s a perfectionist and will never allow you to leave until the job is done. Thanks Dewi, see you in a few weeks! ☺️

Dewi is my go-to girl!! I don’t trust anyone else with my hair anymore. I started coming to HeelsnBoots for my haircut and I’ve come back every single time. I have thick, wavy, long, hair that is super prone to frizziness but I always leave with sleek hair that frames my face exactly right. Dewi has incredible technique with both the cut and blowdry and achieves the look I haven’t been able to get at any other salon. She’s also super sweet and pleasant to be around. 10/10 recommend coming here!

Dewi is AWESOME!! I’ve been to so many barbers before, and I was never happy with the result. But since my first haircut with Dewi, I will never go anywhere else! She’s very detailed, and if you’re not sure what style you want, she has a great eye for figuring out what haircut will suit you. She also knows exactly how to customize everything to suit your particular face and hair color/texture. In addition to all of that, she’s nice, professional, fun to talk to, has a great studio, and is very reasonably priced, especially considering how thorough her work is. Thank you Dewi!!!

My daughter had such a great experience with Dewi! She was so excited to have "her own personal stylist." Dewi was super sweet and even added adorable braids, which I can't recreate, just a as a fun, free-add on to the shampoo, cut & blowout. Very grateful!

Unbelievably good blow out. Found Dewi purely by accident and booked based on these high Google Maps reviews. Easily the best blow out I’ve ever had in NYC, and reasonably priced too. She’s absolutely lovely and works out of a single suite in a building full of salons. What a gem of a find! I’ll be back time and time again, for sure. 👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️

Dewi is both efficient and masterful with her cuts and styles. She has a way of getting my hair to take shape in a way no other stylist has. I enjoy everything about the experience at her small and personable salon from ease of scheduling to the relaxing wash, great conversation and wonderful cut/style. Dewi was incredible to work with- I stopped in today as a walk in. She listened to my needs and gave me a great trim (I am going from a pixie to French bob) I didn't want to loose the length up top but the back was approaching mullet status- I will be back!

Truly one of most skilled and amazing barbers/hairdressers ever, and I couldn’t recommend going to her enough. Before deciding to come to Dewi, I hadn’t gone to a barbershop for more than 3 years due to feelings of embarrassment and insecurity for my extensive hair loss over the years. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that it was by the grace of the universe that I stumbled upon her salon when searching for a place to have my hair cut after having had only recently moved to New York. From the very first session, she was incredibly comforting and affirming, which allowed me to let go of my shame and hesitation quickly. During every session, she would skillful adjust her vision for my haircut with mine and the reality of my hair to provide the best results. She would go out of her way to offer me tips and suggestions to help regrowing my hair and taking care of my hair and beard’s health. On top of all of this, she’s immensely personable and caring, and the fact that I won’t be able to come to her regularly anymore as I leave the city truly upsets me.

Dewi's an amazing stylist to work with. She takes her time with each cut and knows to plan ahead for hair growth (especially for shorter hair) to gradually build a shape that complements the face. She's incredibly friendly and is very knowledgeable about styling Asian hair. Highly recommended to those looking for a more personalized service!

Initially was happy with my haircut when it was in the exact position of a blowout, until I realized mistakes like this randomly short piece, bangs too long and not centered, etc. I’m left trying to fix this haircut and mostly just need to wait for it to grow out to get a different cut. For the price paid, did not expect this.
