I have already discussed my issue with Yen regarding my dissatisfaction and she handled it very professionally. Yet I feel like I should write about my experience for others to know. I booked an eyelash/nail appointment with the salon owner, Yen. I got a gel-x full set and they were good. My dissatisfaction is from the full set hybrid eyelash extension service. First of all, she was busy. She was still answering calls and scheduling other appointments while she was servicing me. At first I didn't mind since I know she's the salon owner. However, when she was doing my lashes she was too busy trying to order dim sum for her staff for their late Thanksgiving lunch together. This is not at all professional. She's touching the phone and then touching my face which is not sanitary to say the least. She finished my full set of hybrid lashes within 30-40 minutes. Another red flag...full set usually takes an hour if not longer. She didn't even discussed with me what I wanted, she briefly asked if I wanted cat eye or doll eyes. Also, she did give me a $10 discount because she said it was quicker than usual. When the service was completed, she handed me the mirror. I like things very natural and I haven't had eyelash extensions in years so I figured it'll look dramatic and shocking at first so I didn't say anything at the moment. As I kept looking at them once I got home, I noticed that there were not any individually placed lashes, they were all fans. I did ask for a hybrid set which a mix of classic and volume so individually placed ones and some fans. This was not the case, they were all fans. Some of them fell off hours later and some were hanging there like it's about to come off. I contacted Yen and she did handled it very professionally. She apologized and ask if I wanted to come and have it fixed. The salon is about a 30 minutes drive (without traffic) from my house so I couldn't go because I had an early flight out to Mexico the next morning. I eventually decided to take the full set off the same day (it was that bad!) but I did it with another salon. She refunded me the price of the full set the same day minus the tip that I had paid her. Although I appreciate the way she handled this, I would not go back to this salon and I do not recommend anyone to book with her. Apparently since she's the salon owner, she is doing multiple things while servicing you.

I have been a customer since June, 2021. The salon was recommended to me by two completely unrelated sources. Yen and her team are amazing, and always put their clients first. I live 30 minutes away, and the drive is worth the service and relationships.

I have been coming to HBL with nail tech/ owner, Yen for years now. As a Tampa native, THIS is the only spot to go for nails and lashes! Truly ever nail tech (Tiffany, Charlene, Nancy, Bianca, Dani, etc) are truly masters at what they do. The vibes in the salon are always on 10, the girls are truly so kind and true girls girls. The attention to detail is truly impressive and I have NEVER been disappointed with my nails.

I recently had the pleasure of getting lash extensions with Yen, and I can honestly say it's been a game-changer! From start to finish, the experience was amazing. Yen was incredibly professional and took the time to discuss my preferences—whether I wanted a more natural look or something bold and voluminous. She walked me through the entire process and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I was super relaxed throughout the process, and the results were absolutely stunning! My lashes look full, fluttery, and so natural—like I’ve just stepped out of a photoshoot. Plus, the lashes feel lightweight and comfortable; I can barely even tell I’m wearing them. I’ve received so many compliments, and the best part is they’ve lasted for weeks! The retention has been fantastic, and I haven’t had to worry about them falling out or losing shape. I’ve been coming to this nail salon for over 3 years, and they’re hands-down the best in the business! I always get GelX, and the quality and attention to detail are unmatched. The team here is so talented and friendly, making every visit feel special and relaxing. My nails always turn out flawless, with long-lasting results that look amazing for weeks!!! I cannot say enough positive things about this place! Everyone is friendly and talented, all my nail designs are incredible. I highly recommend getting your nails done here. They also do lashes, I haven't had mine done, but everyone I see that has them, they all look great.

Love HBL! The girls are all so talented, and Yen the owner is so kind and welcoming! She really puts her heart into the salon and cares about how the employees and customers are treated. I’ve been going there for 2 years and Yen suggested I switch to Gel X with Builder vs Acrylics and I’m so glad I did. My natural nails feel healthier and I love the look 10x better. This will be my forever salon!

I got a gel manicure yesterday and my nails have already lifted off the edges on every finger. I am from out of town and am not able to go to the salon and have them fixed. It’s really disappointing to pay so much money and only have nice nails for 24 hours.

I had seen good reviews, so I decided to check it out during my work break. I hadn’t realized it was appointment only, but, because I was already there, I decided to try my luck. Chloe (not sure is spelled correctly) was able to squeeze me in. She did a thorough and efficient job despite being rushed to get me done.

Got my birthday nails done here. I have typically done acrylics in the past but asked for GelX because the last time I got GelX done at another salon, they lasted for 3+ weeks. However, the nails done at this salon all fell off after 3 days. I paid $120 for them to not even last a week. I asked the tech to trim my cuticles as I thought that was normal practice, but she was rude and acted impatient when I asked for anything "extra". She seemed to treat me as if I knew nothing about what I was asking for, despite getting my nails done very frequently for the last 4 years. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the nail art designs were cute, albeit they only lasted a few days before all coming off.

I have been coming to HBL for my nails since about 2 months after they first opened, I can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet because I absolutely LOVE this place. I never really used to get my nails done much because of how often they chipped, but ever since they HBL girls introduced me to builder gel I have been IN LOVE. I go 4 weeks and not a single chip, my natural nails are also longer than they’ve ever been. Kimme has been my nail tech (also loved Faith when she was there!) and she’s so talented at what she does! When I used to work out of state I would have to fly back to see the HBL girls because I couldn’t find anyone who provides the same quality of work. The atmosphere is always very welcoming, they always have a great playlist going and the best part is that they remember the small details that you share with them! I’ll never go anywhere else 🫶🏼

I have been going here for a few years now and the girls really take care of you AND each other! The place is very clean, laid-back and super cute! Nobody there disappoints. You can also earn points for cash off future visits. Location is perfect as well. There are breweries, restaurants, convienent stores, hair, dental, grocery, bus stops and parks near by. 2 thumbs up for these ladies.

Normally have a good experience here, however I was treated rudely and unprofessionally last time I was here. I asked the nail technician to clip or file my nails shorter and she refused, got up and left. She was very hostile towards me for simply requesting my preference. This is unacceptable and I won’t be returning here. I cannot justify going to a salon with a technician that treats customers with this caliber of disrespect and lack of manners. I also sent two emails to the salon with zero response to the situation which was witnessed by the owner.

I’ve been seeing Kimme for almost 3 years now, and she never disappoints on giving me the best nails & nail art ever! Shes always able to recreate from any photo that I show her! Plus her friendship & conversations through the years is an added bonus! You really feel like part of the family when you go there!
