Bess is an incredible hairstylist and a very nice person. She did a lovely job trimming, coloring, and styling my hair, and fixed it up quite beautifully considering it was long overdue. Her salon is very clean and very cool. Highly recommend!

Bess has created a warm and friendly atmosphere in her Alamo Heights salon. Her smile and laugh is infectious and I find myself waiting for my hair to grow faster just so I can come back sooner. Plus she can totally transform hair!

I have been going to Bess Zowarka to have my hair cut for several years. I decided to try something a little different with my hair. When I got home, my husband said, "that's the best haircut you've ever had.!" We've been together for 22 years, and we have lived in 3 different states, so I've had a lot of haircuts! I highly recommend Bess at Heights, The Salon and Spa.

I had the best experience with this team of make-up artists and hair stylists! They were extremely efficient, talented and professional! My wedding party received several compliments on our hair and make-up. We looked drop dead gorgeous!! I would highly recommend Heights Salon and Spa over and over again!!!

I wanted to look for a place that has/had all good reviews and luckily, I found this amazing place to get my hair and make up done for prom. I kept reading/hearing great things about this lady name Johanna. I didn't know I was texting/talking Johanna until I finally asked her name. Let me just say that Johanna and the other workers like Luisa are very dedicated, they listened, and are very patient. Johanna is a kind person and answered any questions I had. I normally don't like to go to the salon because my hair usually gets mess up but Luisa did a wonderful job of curling my hair. I was freaking out about it not staying on all night but my hair stayed on all day from Saturday 4 pm-Sunday night. I normally don't wear make up but I love the make up Johanna did for me and it also stayed on all day. She is truly talented. A lot of people were shock in a good way especially knowing how I don't wear makeup. I received a lot of compliments and my date said you all went above and beyond. I'm very happy and satisfied. Thank you! ^.^

Bess was absolutely amazing on my wedding day. I showed her a picture of what I kinda wanted and she was able to take it and do something amazing. I wore a big red flower in my hair and she new exactly how to place it. My hair lasted all night and after! It never fell and was secure no matter how much we danced! Her entire team is amazing and my entire wedding party look awesome. Everyone was so happy with their look. Thanks so much Bess!

I was lucky enough to win an updo and makeup session for Heights Salon and Spa from an auction at the McNay. I initially had some trouble scheduling, but we worked everything out. I chose to use this for a Halloween masquerade. Bess did my hair, and it looks AMAZING. I'm generally a low-key kinda gal, but I love this updo so much (contemplating a way to sleep so I can keep this for another day or two.) Luisa (the makeup artist), was also fantastic. I highly recommend their highly capable and super chill staff, and I will be sure to return for any big event when I want to look my best. Based on my experience today, I would say you can't go wrong with booking them for your wedding/engagement photos/big events or any time you want to look amazing.

Was a great experience, I got the chance to go to Lori, who was fantastic! She was super friendly and very fast. I had just gotten some clip in hair extensions that I had no idea had to use. She walked me through the process and helped touch them up by adding layers which blended beautifully with my shoulder length hair. She is very fair with her pricing and an expert in her craft. I highly recommend her :)
