I was hesitant on trying a new place since I had recently relocated. I was used to my wax person in Vegas. The young lady made me feel comfortable by telling me about the wax they use, their services, and membership specials. She was very kind and professional. She listened to what I wanted and was neat with her work. I had my eyebrows waxed and a brazilian wax also...by the end of my wax session I decided to join the member's club (no contract required) I was so pleased with the service that I referred my daughter. I’ve never had a Brazilian or bikini wax in general, but I saw that Hello Sugar was running a promotion for first time clients on their Brazilian service. I figured this would be a great opportunity for me to try it out, considering the price was so great compared to other waxing places I had seen. My esthetician, Amy, was very knowledgeable and experienced in the whole process. She made me feel comfortable the whole time and answered all of my questions with ease. Amy made the whole appointment so natural, and we were able to fill the whole appointment with conversation and jokes to help distract me from any possible discomfort I could have felt. It was such a quick process that I was in and out so fast! It of course was painful as it was my first getting waxed, but everyone’s experience will be different. I ended up signing up for the membership which is $59 a month with no commitment. If you are interested in getting waxed or are already someone who gets waxed regularly, I highly recommend the membership! It covers the cost of one Brazilian wax per month and all other services are discounted. The monthly credit will also roll over to the next month if you do not use it. They also make it easy to cancel as there is no commitment or contract associated with membership. I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but I was genuinely so shocked about how seamless of a process this was and why I haven’t gotten waxed sooner!

Super cute wax spot in SE Portland. My waxer, Amy, was a gem. She makes you feel at ease. They have an easy membership program that gets you a monthly Brazilian for less than $60. Thank you Amy!

My waxer Maribel is very friendly, made my entire visit at ease. The process is not too painful at all, and she guides you to breathe through it. Overall it’s a very positive experience and I’ve been going to other chain like European Wax center but I’d definitely come back!

You could not pay me to come back here. The most painful sugaring I have ever had. I have been sugared 20 times and this was awful. When I told the aesthetician that it was very uncomfortable she of course blamed ME for not getting a sugar since end of June. I have gone months between sugaring and never had an experience like this. She never asked how she could make the experience more comfortable. (Truly atrocious-I’m a nurse and even though I have to do things that hurt or are uncomfortable I try my best to ensure my patients’ well being). She was also sloppy, missed multiple spots and got the sugar got all over the table including my shirt and socks. Numerous products were sprayed and applied that I do t recall ever having in the past and I was not asked if it was ok to apply them she just sprayed me with stuff at the end that burned and then told me to expect it to burn after applying.
