Everyone is very kind, offering drinks or assistance regarding, well anything really. VERY chill atmosphere, they have a tea bar, comfy waiting area, and all natural ingredients for products they sell. The bathroom is Ecco- friendly with towels and a Japanese toilet seat/ bidet. A person's EXACT experience would depend on the individual stylist. My family sees Joanna and she's AWESOME!!!! Definitely worth checking out. (Pay parking in garage is easiest BTW)

Had an amazing first experience there. The Ayurvedic head massage was a perfect way to relax and be pampered. I loved it. My haircut with Erin was the best (since I was a former Vidal Sassoon client for many years) . So happy with my new look. The welcoming staff , Katie ( hope I got her name right) just made the whole experience so easeful. Also very chic looking place . Highly recommend it. Oh and the teas and neck warmers are a great touch !

This is an updated review: I went to Hemlock 3 times for a curly cut and style between October 2023 and May 2024, all by the same stylist, Icie Rivers. I initially picked Hemlock because of their use of organic and high quality products as well as their good reviews. The good: - The Hemlock staff is kind and attentive. - The facility is clean and sophisticated. - Their apothecary beverages are delightful. - The haircuts were generally good. The bad: - The salon has a strict policy about clients needing to be on time, which I respect and thankfully this was never a problem for me as client, but ironically, their own stylist Icie Rivers is never on time and especially bad, she was always about 30 minutes behind schedule, which is ultra disrespectful of clients' time. It's a bit baffling that she and the salon aren't business savvy enough to adjust her available time slots according to the pace at which she works. - After my first 2 visits, when the salon was using strictly Oway and R&Co Bleu, which I would consider high end luxury products based on pricing and ingredients and the use of which was a main reason I picked Hemlock, they apparently decided to do a bait and switch on customers and become an Aveda salon sometime between my January 2024 and May 2024 appointments. This happened without any notice to customers and so when I went in to my May 2024 appointment, I expected the same high quality products to be used during my appointment as the previous 2 times. In contrast, all of a sudden, the same stylist that said that previously said that a certain Oway product and R&Co Bleu product are the perfect combo for my hair now says as of my third visit that Aveda is the way to go! She admitted that the salon was likely using it now mainly because of financial incentives and apparently Aveda has great corporate coaching. I was generally aware of Aveda being known for greenwashing. Looking into it after my appointment confirmed my suspicions and additionally, publicly available information confirms that Aveda is a low quality generic product that is significantly cheaper than the others previously used by the salon. Oddly, the price of the services did not go down at this third visit and in fact, increased, with a mystery $8 surcharge getting passed on to clients (again, with no notice). - True to form for a lower quality product, my style this third time didn't last even half as long as the first 2 times when the stylist/salon used the higher quality Oway and R&Co Bleu products on my hair. I don't plan on going back to Hemlock due to this significant loss of trust and the corporate sellout Aveda branding. It's completely hypocritical and deceptive to call yourself an Ayurvedic salon and then lower your quality to a generic brand like Aveda. It makes me question what products they actually use for their newly advertised Ayurvedic services. They've been able to keep my cash, but definitely get a zero for integrity.

For my first head spa, it was amazing! Never had any service quite like this… Scalp massage is an understatement. From the eucalyptus scented hair towels to the luxurious blankets, I felt totally pampered. So relaxing and restorative. This will be a regular part of my life. Would give 10 stars if I could!

Had a cut with Alex today and couldn't be happier with the result, highly recommend both her and Hemlock. Everyone was personable, the vibe was great, and I felt like Alex really nailed my style even though I was a little vague/unsure about what I wanted. Next time I'll be doing color and trying one of their specialty teas, will report back. :)

I’ve loved my haircuts from Alex! She’s AMAZING!! I appreciate how her recommendations are super accessible. Instead of recommending I buy an entire new suite of hair care products, she gave tips based on what I already do! She made me feel right at home - a wonderful experience!

Got my haircut by Caitlin and I’m obsessed! Not only did my hair look amazing, it was the personal connection she brought to the appointment that really made the difference . A thousand percent recommend you going to hemlock! I have been to a few other salons in the atlanta area since moving here and now I’ve found my match. Welcoming and extremely knowledgeable!! I asked for a trim and left with a wolf cut that was 6” shorter than what I walked in with, except for the weird rat tail they left in the back. They then tried to tell me that was exactly what I asked for & it wasn’t that short (it was except for the weird long strand they left.) They refused to give me my money back. The highlights were good, though.

I just left the new head spa addition and it was everything I needed and more. From the wonderful atmosphere to the amazing scalp, neck and arm massage, I left feeling like a new woman. I scheduled a blow out right after, but I also love that they offer a place where you can dry your own hair if you'd like. I'm loving this new head spa trend! I will definitely be back.

I've had my haircut twice by Erin and I have been showered with compliments on her work. I would definitely recommend her and Hemlock for anyone looking for a new salon but that is only part of the experience. You are showered with caring attention, tips to help you care for yourself, tea from their wellness bar, and other treatments if you're ready for some self-care. I've relaxed on the gemstone mat and in the sauna. My last treatment was the Ayurvedic head spa where Hannah pampered me for an hour. It’s amazing to be guided from a bustling salon into their little relaxing oasis where they give spa treatments. I highly recommend swinging by Hemlock! Even if you don't need a haircut, they have something for you there.

Oh my GRACIOUS!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I cannot say enough how incredible this experience is! We all know how hard it is to find a good salon! I had a Head Spa treatment and let me tell you; you need to treat yourself to this! My dry scalp and color-treated hair feel so RENEWED and REFRESHED! They are just starting to offer this service and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to try it! There is massaging, Gua Shua, Hair Masques, and just overall atmosphere! Seriously if you’re in the area; you HAVE HAVE HAVE to go! I will definitely be booking my future services here! And a huge thank you to Hannah who did my service!

For many years, I've struggled to find a hair stylist that understood my style and needs. Caitlin is brilliant, ya’ll! She listened to my vague needs and figured out most perfect cut that I would have never thought I wanted. I have never come out a salon so in love with a new cut! I’m excited to finally have a hair style that reflects who I am. All thanks to Caitlin! The whole studio is also a gem in itself. Everything is thoughtfully curated to create an amazing space for holistic wellness. It was my first time visiting and it definitely isn’t going to be my last. Thank you!

Hemlock Salon is beautiful, serene and relaxing. I have social anxiety (who doesn't at this point), but I left feeling completely at peace. Joanna is so calming and just an absolute joy to be around. She took the time to truly examine my hair so that she could give me the best cut for me. I love my haircut, and my bangs are the best they've ever been. I will be returning to her for as long as I'm in Atlanta.

I booked a hair cut with Joanna and could not be happier. She took a mess of my short hair and turned it into a fun and edgy masterpiece. I feel like I could walk onto a movie set! The salon is gorgeous and high end, yet I felt comfortable and welcomed by my stylist. Would recommend to anyone.

Please don't have your business hours as open until 8pm when you are not open until 8pm. No one would answer the phone at 7 so I dropped by at 7:30 to book an appointment super fast. The doors were locked and stylist inside pretended to not hear me knocking on the door at first, then she mouthed something to me from a distance. It is incredibly rude to have your hours as open until 8 if the doors are locked and phones are off way before then, and then to act as if I'm the rude one for coming during your business hours. I'd understand if it was 5 or or even 10 minutes til. But that was incredibly rude. She could have come to the door.

Regular customer of the salon...wasn't able to make my appointment....cancelled via the text message but was still then charged 100 for the full price due to my cancellation. Life happens and yes it's their time as well and I could understand a fee of some sort but charging 100 percent for a service not at all rendered seems pretty illegal. It would be different if I'd cancelled multiple times....first time customer etc. But really....life happens to us all and on top of already having to cancel due to a loved ones illness now I get to pay out of pocket for something that never happened..its just bad business and there are too many options to deal with this type of customer service and zero level of understanding...will never come back and feel its just bad business and there are too many options to deal with this type of customer service and zero level of understanding. Will be sending notification to the better business bureau and disputing the charge with my bank.

This is a great salon with a very welcoming and inviting space! It’s great to get a hot cup of herbal tea while I have my highlights touched up. My stylist is absolutely wonderful, and I will always keep coming back for her!

First time visiting. My stylist was Kelly. I’d let my hair grow out a bit and it was so heavy and blocky. I showed her a picture of when I’d worn my hair shorter with lots of texture and layers and she asked a few questions and then gave me the cutest shoulder length cut!

Icie is a magical hair queen and client whisperer. I’m the worst - I either come into my appointment with references that are impossible with my hair color and texture, or with no references at all and vague direction. And yet somehow, Icie is able to work through my jumbled thoughts and land on an amazing look EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. Even though the color and cut grow out beautifully, I find myself wanting want to get back in the chair to see what else she can do! For the first time in my life, I find the salon fun and exciting instead of anxiety inducing. Visit Icie - you won’t regret it!

The atmosphere of Hemlock is calm, inviting, and filled with a gentle spirit of love. Everything from the layout, hot towels, warm and toasty toilet seat ( had to mention that!) and to their eco-friendly commitment is so heart warming. Moving on to my experience with the ever so sweet and beautiful Caitlin. I was welcomed with a warm hug, and she did a thorough consultation on what my needs and concerns were. She didn’t rush through the service and her attention to detail was impeccable! Her massage during the shampooing part of the service would put anyone into a state of zen… your body just melts into the very comfortable shampoo chairs… Caitlin is a breath of fresh hair and she has her craft dialed in… Which shows in her finished work. She is indeed a hair artist!! I would highly recommend her and this salon to anyone! Oh, and it was worth my two hour drive!!! Love, Love, LOVE CAITLIN!! 💕
