My fiancé and I visited Hiatus Day Spa for massages to celebrate my 30th birthday, and it was truly exceptional. I had John as my massage therapist and he was absolutely amazing. He knew exactly how to relieve all the tension and knots, leaving me feeling incredibly relaxed and rejuvenated. It was my fiancé's first massage, and he had Ken as his therapist. Ken did an outstanding job, making the experience both comfortable and enjoyable for him. It was the perfect introduction to the world of massages, and he left feeling just as relaxed as I did. From the moment we arrived, Mickey at the front desk was a delight. He made our visit extra special with his warm hospitality and attention to detail, ensuring that my birthday celebration at Hiatus Day Spa was memorable. Overall, our experience at Hiatus Day Spa was fantastic. The atmosphere was serene, the staff were friendly and professional, and the massages were top-notch. We can't wait to return for another pampering session. Highly recommended!

I’ve been an H-Circle member for 10 years and love the excuse for self-care every month. I’ve seen many providers over my time, but have recently narrowed in on my two favorites: Monique for facials, and John B for massage. I’ve been seeing Monique now almost monthly for over a year and my skin has never looked better. She’s friendly and professional and always takes this time to see where my skin is at in the moment and creates the perfect facial. Every now and again my husband will come to the spa with me - and I book him for a massage that just happened to be with John (the only one available at the same time as my appointment). My husband loved the experience so much and got great relief, so I booked with him as well for the same week. John has this amazing technique where he sort of finds where your pain starts, and then “untangles” your muscles to provide relief and get blood flowing again. I’m sure he’s also great at more gentle massage, but if you’ve got muscle pain you need straightened out, he’s your guy!

I love being an H-Circle member and getting a facial from Cynthia! She always takes her time to figure out what might be happening with my skin and create the best experience for me while I am visiting! I trust her 120% so I let her tailor made any add-on treatments that we might need to add. I felt my skin was RENEWED by the end of our session and I got 3 compliments on my skin within the 24 hrs post my appt with Cynthia so I know she had done yet another outstanding job! John is the absolute best masseuse i have ever had. He knew exactly what to look for and treated my whole body as a system to increase blood flow and mobility. I cannot give a higher recommendation to any other masseuse I have ever seen.

***UPDATE: it is now 12/5/2024. —On Oct. 18th 2024 Allison (office manager) called me and stated that she “doesn’t see a resolution here” during our call. Allison then said that the director will be in contact with me. I unfortunately still haven’t been contacted by anyone since October. ***UPDATE: 10/17/2024. We have emailed the management team (hello@hiatusspa.com) back on Oct. 10th and still have NOT received any response at all from anyone*** For my mom’s birthday, we arranged a trip to Austin and I booked us both a facial and massage appointment. A whole relaxing day planned out..Please note, we scheduled these appointments back in the middle of September with receptionist Alexandria - who was very nice (it is now October 7th). This is where things take a turn. I received a call 45 minutes before our appointment and the receptionist on the other line tried to gaslight me by saying our appointment was an hour earlier and we missed our facial appointment, THAT WAS FALSE (we were scheduled on Oct. 7th at 12:45pm) and FINALLY she told me the truth which was, I would not be able to receive a facial as the aesthetician was not available at all today, they offered me a wrap instead (not what we scheduled). This was very last minute and very disappointing. I wish we had a better experience with Hiatus Spa in Austin, but that was not the case. We were so excited for these appointments and now we are scrambling to find other options to try to relax before the rest of the night. This review is just a heads up for everyone planning on scheduling an appointment. Just make sure you do your research and read reviews.

Hiatus is one of my favorite places to go when I’m looking to give myself some care. The spa is always clean and the front staff are so kind and professional. I recently had a massage with John and his knowledge and skill of massage is phenomenal. He brings 20 years of experience with him and his massage will leave you feeling like a whole new person. If you’re looking for an incredible deep tissue massage check him out.

I’ve had 2 great experiences at Hiatus Austin! Most recently I had a facial with Emma and a massage with Brianne. Both were wonderful! I appreciated that Emma took the time to get to know me and my skin, and tailored the facial particularly to me. Brianne had many small touches that I have not experienced before in a massage! Would recommend both these providers and this spa! So relaxing.

DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP. Awful, rude customer service. Impossible to regularly book services because they cannot keep staff. And, even when you do cancel, you will start getting charges months later because they changed the rules. I tried to be reasonable when there was a waitlist for a pedicure, or when the one person making them a "medspa" left, but new charges months later has crossed a line. Cannot recommend avoiding enough.

I get a massage every 60-90 days. My job is very demanding which causes the worst stress. My therapist John I don’t know where he got his skills from but 1000% the best massage I have ever had. His massage has me asking what have I been getting up to this point. The staff is very professional. The ambiance is on point. Ladies & Gents you will not be disappointed visiting Hiatus Spa. I recommend John if you have a lot of tension and stress you need relief from! 🔥❤️🔥

Incredible 2 hour massage with Ken. He paid particular attention to all the preferences we discussed and carried a grace and intention throughout the entire treatment. Great pressure, great flow! Mikey at the front desk was beyond helpful, very sweet, and I’ll be back because the entire experience start to finish was wonderful. Beautiful Spa!

Hands down absolutely the BEST Spa experience in my 49 years. Rose was my massage therapist and had amazing pressure and professionalism. I then got a magical facial from Jason. My skin was radiant afterwards. From start to finish the staff was so welcoming, kind and professional. The ambiance and relaxing atmosphere was on point. I cannot wait to come back to Austin and Hiatus Spa. (I live in Denver) It 💯 made my trip. Thanks again.

Long standing member across Dallas & ATX, beautiful salon but management terrible. Drove 30 mins from Dripping Springs to purchase retail with credits [which I’ve consistently done for past two years]. Without any communication, apparently members can no longer do this? Lady in salon mentioned how ‘many members’ had been upset at this change - which begs the question why the salon still can’t communicate the change. More-so gives me an email to speak with upper management, to which I’ve not had a response for 5 days now despite kindly requesting they cancel my 6 year standing membership. I followed up once in this time also. UPDATE: Upgraded from 2 to 4 stars to reflect the quality of therapists & treatment experience. Hiatus agreed to let me to use credit towards treatments after review.

I've been getting a "birthday" massage Since 2021 and recently started coming more frequently. Elijah has consistently done an amazing job and I leave hiatus feeling incredible. The front desk staff are always very friendly and inviting as well. Great ambience and good vibes.

Unreliable. Disappointed. They cancelled a massage 3 MINUTES before the scheduled time and didn’t have anyone else so they booked me out 2 weeks out. Very unprofessional.
