Hidden Gen is truly the name. All the stylists are amazing at what they do. I had my extensions put in by Patty and the color selection was exactly what I wanted. Diana a fresher artist has been my new stylist for color and my blowouts. I love coming in here and getting my hair services. Love the team that Patty has created and will continue to be with HG.

Love , love this place today I went first time here for color because my lady that I had for 15 years lost her touch , burned my scalp the last time and I need it a change!! The owner here is amazing , friendly and very knowledgeable. My hairstylist is actually my daughters friend her name is Diana she is gentle and sweet and knows what she is doing I highly recommend her!! After color today I have never felt my scalp so relaxed , smooth and healthy!! Love my color I always liked it natural❤️ 100 % recommend this place , it is relaxing , good company and quality!!!!

If you are looking for the best salon for color and/or extensions look no more. Patty at Hidden Gem Salon is THE best in the business. It is rare you can find talent like this all in one place. Patty is perfect in every way. From listening to clients, executing their wants and delivering the look desired. I have been to salons on Oak Street to Michigan Ave and they do not compare to this Northwest side location. Patty and her assistant Taylor are kind, professional and I guarantee they will make you look and feel like a million bucks! .

She was actively aware and sensitive to my situation and has always found me a style and color that would cover any active bald spots and help make me feel more comfortable and confident. I have been going to Patricia for several years now. She is amazing and professional and everything that these other reviews say. However, my most recent visit was my first experience with Taylor. There is a reason these two ladies work so well together. Taylor did a fantastic job on my cut and she is a marvel with color. She's extremely friendly and you can tell by her enthusiasm that she absolutely loves what she does. She pays attention to details and really goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Absolutely, 100% recommend!!

I booked an appointment last minute online for 7-8pm . I texted the hair stylist personally that I would be 10 minutes late. She then said she had “somewhere important” to be and cancelled my appointment. I told her I was willing to just got for a haircut and that no styling was needed. My hair is pretty short, I just wanted a trim, and it probably would have taken 20 minutes. She was not adaptable whatsoever and did not seem to care. With all the other salons in the Park Ridge area, I recommend going somewhere that is more welcoming to new clients… I was able to get my haircut that same day as a walk-in at another salon. I’m glad the stylist cancelled my appointment because I received a great haircut from Anthony Valentino, where they more than welcomed me, appreciated my business, took my jacket for me, etc.

Patricia was amazing!!! I emailed her asking for help to fix my “botched” hair extensions placement scared she would say no.. but she was so flexible and up for the task.. I had saw beautiful work on her page and she came highly recommended so I was very excited for her magic hands to fix me but I never dreamed of the results… I was in such shock I almost cried happy tears.. the extensions looked so natural and the root touch up she did was a perfect match (I’m a red head, it’s not easy) if anyone is looking for an amazing experience with a professional come see Patricia!! Not only does she work with u but your happiness is your priority!! Thank you for making me feel pretty again!

Hidden Gem is now my new go-to salon. I'm very particular when it comes to my hair and after my last stylist moved out of state last year, I've been through several stylists at different salons and was never completely happy with my cuts until I met Joanna at Hidden Gem. Joanna's attention to detail is second to none. She takes the time to listen to exactly how you want your cut and will also chime in with any insights she has regarding the style you're going for. A men's haircut ran me $25. For any men reading this review, $25 is incredibly inexpensive cost for a high quality cut, shampoo, and style! You can't go wrong with a marvelous experience at such a low cost! Oh, also the music there is great.

I found Patricia through a coworker in 2018 and she has been a dream. She was at a different studio.. and I'm glad I stuck with her to opening her own spot. I had dark thick hair (asian) and she made me from ice blonde (2018) to ash blonde to mushroom brown.. to dark chocolate.. (pic shown) my hair is healthy and beautiful she has never steered me wrong. Highly recommend! Moving out of state will def be back for color treatment <3

I have had my hair done at this salon many times now and I haven't gone anywhere else. I get my hair done by Joanna and she always does a great job. I've loved my hair every time. The salon is super cute and very clean. They have great customer service, always on time and make me feel comfortable. I definitely recommend this salon.
