Julia is the only stylist I've seen in my 13 years in Portland. She's done my hair from pixie cuts to shoulder length and everything in between. Thanks to my most recent cut, I like--no, love-- how my hair looks down for the first time in many months! (I had definitely gone too long between appointments.) As others have mentioned, Julia is also a warm, thoughtful, grounded spirit and getting to catch up with her is half the fun of the appointment. She's a hair whisperer *and* a gem of a person.

Cher is the best! She has such an eye for design and detail. The best haircuts I've ever gotten are from her! She doesn't just think about how it looks now, but how it will grow out. They grow out so well every time. Highly recommend!

Julia has been a true goddess at managing my once long and now short hair over the past 6+ years. I've moved away but still make it a point to come back to Portland to see her. She also has a wonderful & humble personality that is a joy to be around :)

I've walked by Hidden Hands a number of times since I live in the area but put off getting a haircut for far too long. I let my hair go for longer than I should have and have been relatively clueless as to how to best take care of it, but fortunately I found Julia to help me out. She not only did a wonderful job cutting my hair, but she was so helpful in deciding how to approach the cut and how to take care of it in the coming months. If I weren't moving away I would go back to her in a heartbeat. Thank you, Julia!

My favorite salon and stylist in Portland. I've been going to Cher for years now and all I can say is, what an amazing person and talent. She cuts the best bangs and pays so much attention to detail. I swear, every time I walk out of that salon, I think, "I know I thought my last haircut was my favorite, but this haircut is my favorite!" Which is to say, every one of her haircuts is my favorite. She really gets my hair :)

You must see Teneil at this Salon! She is a miracle worker and a hair artist! If you want the haircut and color you see on celebrities or on instagram you must see her. She can give you the most gorgeous highlights and root smudge you have ever seen. Not to mention a haircut that grows out beautiful. All the women I asked about their hair said they saw Teneil. She had to do an extensive color correction on my hair because I had been dying it myself for years. It took a couple of appointments but she brought my hair back to life and gave me everything I wanted and more! She is hands down the BEST hair stylist in the Portland Metro. Try her and she will not disappoint.
